Beautiful grounds. Loved the variety of hot springs and views of arenal. Pool was nice. Private cottages. Exceeded my expectations. Slightly away from the town (shopping and restaurants) so you will have to rely on Ubers if not driving which during busy times and high traffic can take a while to get places. area is not pedestrian friendly. Breakfast is wonderful with lots of variety.

Excellent location, wonderful amenities and lovely staff. We went there with our 5 year old kids and had a wonderful time. The rooms are very well equipped and accompanied with a porch that has wonderful views. I only wish they had microwave in the rooms but the staff was kind to get our milk heated for the kids. Loved the place and will certainly be our go to spot when we visit La Fortuna again.

The breakfast was a let down- the coffee was burnt- the meat (ham/ sandwich meat) had been sitting out for hours, and was warm. The shower door was about to fall off and there was a lot of mold in the bathroom. It seems that they take care with the gardens and hot springs, but just quickly wipe down and change the sheets and towels in the cabins- no regular maintenance is done on the cabins. The staff at check in and housekeeping were friendly, the people in the snack bar were more interested in selling cocktails than serving food.

The villa has some positives, including parking right in front of the room and a pleasant breakfast setting.

However, several issues significantly affected our stay. The room had insects, the bathroom was not well maintained and did not feel clean, and the bedding was uncomfortable. There was also no water one evening, which was very inconvenient. Service was slow, and there was a billing error at checkout.

Our double qn room was clean and very comfortable. The mini fridge was a nice bonus. But the thermal pools were the hit of the stay! Varied in temperature, clean and beautifully situated amongst the garden vegitation with well lit paths (for evening soaks).
Staff are helpful and engaging. We would definitely stay again and recommend the hotel to friends and family. An incredible value for the price!

The rooms were very clean and well taken care of. The water pressure was weak and the hot water was not very hot. Luckily we enjoyed the thermal pools to warm up in the cool weather. The staff at all encounters were friendly and gave wonderful service. The food at the pool bar and indoor restaurant did not disappoint and was less expensive than restaurants we enjoyed around the area.

Travelled in January with my family of 4 adults. The grounds are expansive and beautifully landscaped and maintained. Check in was smooth and friendly, the desk attendant was very helpful and accommodating, he was able to set up a last minute birthday celebration within minutes of us checking in. The 5 thermal pools were beautiful with at least two of them having a great background view of Arenal volcano for great pictures. The swim up pool bar was very fun, Dilan, our bartender made wonderful drinks. The staff was very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. This is a moderately priced resort. The breakfast buffet was delicious. Dinner was ok but there were many options.Most of the rooms, including ours, looked like wood cabins and were comfortable with a lovely porch and rocking chairs. The room was large enough to accommodate our 4 adults with 4 beds. The room was comfortable and the bathroom can benefit from an upgrade. Highly recommend this place for comfort , friendliness, amenities and value.

The individual cabin style rooms are very private and cozy. Almost too cozy! We like to be woken up by the sounds of the jungle and these rooms with heavy curtains are perfect for sleeping in. It was both a blessing and a curse! I do wish they didn’t use BRIGHT WHITE lights. Soft lighting would have been better, and would go much better with their decor.

Having a front glassed in and a back open porch was great to enjoy the mornings…. We actually caught a glimpse of a Howler Monkey going by one morning! The birds we saw from our porch were incredible…. Great Curassows, Macaws, Toucans, Hummingbirds, Parakeets, Falcons, and Montezuma Oropendolas to name a few.

The breakfast was surprisingly good and the service was very friendly. We enjoyed the omelette station and fresh fruit for sure. One day they had huevos rancheros that were in a great salsa.

We had an hour long massage while there and it was great. You can’t beat the price! Be sure to tip in cash so they don’t have to pay any fees on it.

My only complaint is the hot springs are not 24 hours, and don’t open until 10AM. They don’t offer any services to speak of other than towel/locker, so I am uncertain why the hours can’t be better. Also there is nowhere to stash your towel and shoes while in the water.

Overall we were extremely happy even with that small criticism.

Our superior room had a perfect view of the volcano. Breakfast options were plentiful and delicious. The hot spring pools are stunning and there are so many different ones to try! The location is excellent, and the highlight of the resort is definitely the hot springs—very convenient and relaxing! The breakfast and restaurant were also great. The only downside (and sometimes a noticeable one) is the interior. It felt quite old-fashioned (not in an antique way), and the washroom was very basic with older-style fixtures like the faucet and shower. Still, we really enjoyed the hot springs and the food!

Hit springs in the resort are a huge plus. They are not crowded as well. You have different hot springs with different levels of temperature as you prefer.

Main drawback is that the cheapest rooms are located right beside the highway and it's very noisy during the night.

Overall, a great place to stay. The breakfast buffet had a large assortment of food options: something for everyone. The thermal hot springs were great; hottest at the top and gradually getting colder heading back to the bottom area. My only complaints; the bathroom window was missing a window slat and bugs and little lizards would come in through it, and the roof of our unit was metal so the rain storms were really loud.

Food was not the best, plus the thermal water pool looked green and murky. It didn’t looked like the other thermal waters around the area. The room was nice but some how not well maintained. I found a spider web around the light next to the bed and bathroom mirror was little dirty on the first day. After that, the lady who cleaned the room did a great job on cleaning the room. We stayed for 5 nights and loved the location as it was quiet but close enough to drive to La Fortuna and to activities. It was very quiet all the time, which is exactly what we were looking for. The grounds are absolutely beautiful with a view of the volcano too. Not all the hot springs were open and not sure why but the ones that were, were so great. We enjoyed them in the day and after dinner. The pool was refreshing! The breakfast buffet was pretty good and had quite a few vegan options. We did have to ask for soy milk daily but we were glad they had it. We bought some granola at the grocery store and had it with the other items available.

We had a superior room and feel this is where the hotel is not doing so great. The rooms are old and tired and really need updated, especially the bathrooms. The chairs on our deck were mouldy and really unusable. The rooms smell musty and are always damp, which isn’t really that surprising since it’s a rainforest but I think some extra cleaning and closing gaps in the doors and windows to outside could help with the dampness and also the bugs. The staff were friendly and always helpful. Overall, our stay was good but we wouldn’t stay here again, especially for how expensive it was.

I can’t say enough about this property. It truly is Paradise. It’s a hidden gym in Costa Rica. You can truly amaze with What you get the value for your money. This place is pristine in the middle of arenal volcano, next to shops and other restaurants and other Springs. It’s very drivable. The property itself is Paradise. It’s beautiful. It’s big, it’s guacamole in the springs are located inside the property and also offer zip lining a horseback riding. It has two restaurants in the property as well.

Rude girl at the front desk. I asked about a possible upgrade due to platinum status and she rolled her eyes and said it would be $40. Didn’t even look. She was also rude when I came by the office for a local question. The hot springs are brown water. I realize it’s the minerals but other hotels in the area as well as Rico springs are clear. Swimwear beware!

Wonderful view from our cabin. Mineral pools were very relaxing. Pool was good with lounge chairs in shaded area, complete with a big iguana rubbing around the deck. Their restaurant had good food at reasonable prices (most entrees were $15-25 range with some cheaper options and a few around $40). Resort is several miles outside of La Fortuna went on tours during day and enjoyed resort at night. Uber to town was $5 when we went to explore.

Arenal Paraíso Resort truly lives up to its name—it’s a paradise! The cabin we stayed in was incredibly spacious, comfortable, and spotless. The views of the surrounding nature and volcano were absolutely breathtaking. One of the highlights of our stay was the variety of Thermo Mineral Hot Springs pools—there were so many to choose from, and they were all so relaxing. There are even areas designed for kids, making it a great spot for families. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. Had a lovely stay, our hut was so great, very quiet and comfortable, very friendly cleaning staff, they made us laugh a lot with their towel Figurines. Amazing breakfast, great restaurants and fantastic pool & termal area. Parking close to our hut worked perfectly. In terms of cleanliness all was good for us, we found that the bats left their droppings on the porch at night but we found this was part of the nature Adventure. We very much enjoyed our stay and can absolutely recommend.

Arrived early but told we would have to wait till 3 for check in. We were able to use the thermal pools and have lunch whilst we waited.
Our room was a decent size with 2 double beds but unfortunately the walls were paper thin and the 'family' next door were anything but quiet.
Luckily for us, on requesting a move to another room, they were able to oblige and Alan, the concierge, was very helpful driving us to and from our old room to the new room and back to reception.
Our 'new room was quieter and comfortable.
The thermal pools were very enjoyable ranging from hot (around 40c) down in a series of 'fake' rock pools to about 24c. In addition a decent swimming pool and a separate swim up bar which we assume was thermal water as it was at her dark and murky.
The staff were all friendly and the food and cocktails were delicious, though we found the food portions on the large side.
What would have been nice was some bench seats around the property in order to sit and enjoy the wildlife/birds.
Also the sunbeds by the pool were in very poor repair and few in number.

One stop shop for relaxing in the rainforest!

We love to relax at this resort. If you want to just lounge around in the rainforest, this is a great place to do it. The cabins are modest, but the facilities are a little more updated. This resort has everything you need so you don't have to leave if you don't want to. The massages at the spa are amazing. There is a zip lining adventure right in the resort if you want. And the food is great too. Our favorite thing to do is to soak in the mineral pool with the swim up bar for a cocktail and bird watch while getting glimpses of the Volcan Arenal from time to time.

We had two very nice comfortable cabins, beds were fine, it was lovely being able to sit on the porches and listen to the birds. The thermal baths were fabulous, graduated from hot to luke warm, were well kept up and clean. However we had two problems. The water in our cabins kept going off for many many hours For all three days of our stay. Very awkward not being able to flush toilets! We actually would fill up bottles of water so we could brush our teeth if the water was off. The other problem was they told us that they couldn’t seat our party of 5 in the main restaurant, but they could seat us in the pool restaurant and assured us the food was the same. The food was not the same, it was a much more casual menu. The breakfast buffet was very good every day and the cleaning staff and other staff were helpful and nice. The hotel is lovely, even saw a toucan in the trees there, but they need to fix their water situation.

Our family of four, parents and two teens (16 and 14), had a great time! The property is beautiful, and the view of the volcano is outstanding. Our superior room had 2 queen beds and was comfortable with excellent A/C. We enjoyed trying out the different thermal pools and the regular swimming pool, moving from hot to cool, cool to hot, trying to figure out why different ones were empty on different days? They are much nicer in person than in the pictures! We enjoyed the casual restaurant by the pool more than the formal dining. The breakfast buffet had many options, but was better on the second day; the first day they seemed to stop refilling things after 8:30am. Most of the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful, the only exception being one (of the three) towel ladies who was repeatedly very unfriendly for no discernible reason. Overall we would recommend this resort and we would stay here again.

I like that the parking was close to the cabin. The walk up bar was a hot spring. That felt awesome. Overall, it was a good stay.

Great hotel in a great location

Incredible hotel located in the perfect part of town. The rooms are all separate and the pools and thermal pools are easily accessible and not too crowded. The thermal pools are all on site and all different temperatures so it’s easy to find one that’s exactly that you want. The staff are super friendly and the restaurant and bar are great. No noise problems at all. If you have a car, Parking is available right outside your door or in the lot at the entrance if you have multiple. You can see the volcano from every part of the resort. Definitely recommend.
