We were given a room that didnt have a safety lock on the door. The door didn’t even close correctly. Had to put a chair in front of the door. The room was dirty and the recliner chair looked as if something exploded on it. There was visible dust on the furniture and the shower was broken. You had to get on your hand and knees to shower. What was sad was this was a handicap room. It’s disheartening that they treat handicapped people that way.

Side walk caution taped off due to foundation issues, which is understandable, it happens. The lighting this area at night could have been much better. The signs all over indicated it was commonly logging for railroad workers. Cleaning if room was not the best. Dimmed lights, white walls, black/dirty hand prints in lights switches, walls, doors, and window curtains was quite obvious, I don’t understand how those details are missed. Looked bad. Bathrooms quite small but room served its purpose. Cleanliness and lighting should be improved.

The check-in was quick and friendly. We had two rooms. Both were nice and clean. The weight room was pretty large for a hotel. We ended up at using the onsite diner. It was good food, smaller portions. Nice, hot showers!

The diner, Pennys, had the most disgustingly filthy bathroom I have ever seen! Someone had even urinated in the trash can - probably because the toilet was so disgusting.

Clean, comfy bed, hot shower, very quiet ( a few trains went by but not horrible) felt safe walking the dogs on several huge grassy areas. Over all love this place! Towels could be a bit softer but as far as everything thing else excellent place to stay.

Lots of parking. Quiet area. Tons of grass to walk dogs. (But they do need someone on poop patrol unfortunately as there was quite alot of it) They even provided a clean up station (and towels specifically for pets!) as we were all there for the dog show. No sketchy people. There is a train that goes thru a few times a night. Diner and gas station in front of hotel. Room clean. Decent beds. Have stayed there twice and will stay again despite it being 20 miles from the venue.

The door to our room wouldn’t latch. They called Maintenance. He worked on it and got it to latch if you slammed it a couple times. He did say they were replacing the doors in all the rooms. We had our dogs with us but the areas to walk them were full of sandburrs, very painful to the feet. We stayed here last year and it was great.

Great stay!

Every budget motel should be like this: Clean, comfortable, safe, a full-line of TV channels, and with a 24/7 diner and gas station in close proximity.

My only small complaint is that the window drapes are sort of dated-looking and ill-fitting. I'd swap 'em out for a thermal blackout shade, and a sheer shade (when you want light in the room, but don't want people to be able to look in.

But really, this is a great place.

Trip to visit family in Scottsbluff

The room was small but adequate. The problem was that I use a walker and they had no downstairs rooms and I had to climb two flights of stairs to get to our room. It was a challenge but I pulled myself up and made it. The cafe next door was wonderful.

What a wonderful place. The check in was fast and efficient. As I unloaded my luggage, I noticed a chicken wandering about the entry door to the annex building. It was comically quaint. Inside the building, the smell was fresh and clean, and the carpet was clean and stainless. The room was well appointed and again, smelled fresh and clean. Everything worked as it should, and the building was quiet. It was a very nice stay.

We stayed here on our way through to Missouri. Booked room on day of stay and staff was able to meet our request of top floor room! Staff was very nice. Room was clean and quiet. The train did blow its whistle but it did not wake us up. Bed was comfortable. No free breakfast available but there is a diner right next to the hotel and Scottsbluff is right down the road. We would stay here again.

On the border

Stayed here about 4 years ago and had a good experience so stayed again while passing through the area. The rooms are clean and the property is well maintained. Quick and easy check-in. Away from everything, so a drive may be in order if looking for fine dining. An interesting point, "The Big Smoke," took place just west of here in 1851. Although relegated to just 4 historical placards on the north side of the road, it's also worth a visit.
