We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The first morning we woke up and peeled back our curtain, Mount Fuji was in full view. It was spectacular. It was also serene to enjoy the view from our private open air bath. The breakfast was fantastic with so many options, and dinner was beautifully played. The staff was very kind and welcoming — we were initially worried because we mentioned that my husband has celiac disease and cannot eat gluten, and they seemed unwilling to accommodate. But, once we were there, they made sure to review with him what he could eat — it was likely just a language barrier and misunderstanding of his restrictions. The hotel also offers a free shuttle to Kawafuchiko station, which is helpful if you want to explore the lake and when you are ready to leave town.

This is a very interesting property. We visited to glimpse Fujisan but were denied. The property is dated but has obvious charm with typical japanese 70s style architecture. The outdoor onsen is very nice. Not crowded even on a weekend. Food was really fabulous. There is good entertainment in the evening and plenty of little clubs to drink wine. I recommend this place

A memorable stay in this hotel during our family's Japan vacation. The Japanese traditional Kaiseki dinner is the highlight, followed by drum show. Hotel has a beautiful garden sterches out acres with rich vegetation and architectural details. Wine bar provides nice coffee, snacks and wine tasting. I only wish the breakfast doesnt close that early (9am).

This resort is an amazing all-inclusive place with the wine lounge access. The gardens are beyond amazing—they go on and on. They must have many gardeners on staff. Inclusive kaiseki meal was excellent, much better than normal resort food. Private onsen on the balcony was so special and perfect. The wine lounge was phenomenal with unlimited tasting portions of wines from all around Japan. The drumming performance was a nice touch for evening entertainment. The hotel bar and izakaya were great for later night options (the bar looks out over the magical gardens). A really special place that we’d return to. Mount Fuji is right there too, although if you want to see it, don’t visit in the summer. Loved the samurai pjs to wear around and the yukata. I’d give this resort 5 stars if only they would have certain hours reserved in the onsen for guests with tattoos. We did book a room with a private onsen, but would have loved to use the bigger facilities.

This is an experience I wholly recommend to all coming to Japan. Exceptional staff who did a great job describing the amenities and things to do from the check-in. As well as an amazing view of mount Fuji. The roof-top Onsen was a once in a lifetime experience for me and my friends and a memory we all cherish. The garden was also beautiful and great place to walk around and enjoy nature in during the day and night. The only bad part was leaving.

The hotel has many amazing amenities and the Onsen and food was amazing, as well as the garden around it. However, the service was very poor, and when we were checking out, they changed the fee to be over 400 dollars more expensive, denied that the original price which they had written on a sheet during our check in was cheaper, and threatened to call the police when we questioned them.

We booked a room with private onsen with mount fuji view - it was honestly a great experience (apart from the fact we were lucky enough to wake up to mount fuji). The resort itself, while built a long time back, is reasonably well maintained. The tatami room is a treat and my 1.5yo absolutely loved it. There were so much to do everyday, from trying out yukata to tea appreciation to drum performance in the evening and wine tasting. If I were to go back to Mt Fuji area, I will no doubt choose this property again. Also special mention to the wonderful Ms Fukunaga. She took such good care of us including our 1.5yo. She's an asset to the resort for sure!

This hotel offers SO much. Two onsens, restaurants, lounges, free kimono rental, drum performance, karaoke, beautiful gardens, tea, massages, facials, half-board dinner, and a fantastic view of Mount Fuji (if you go on a good day!) We stayed two nights and were not able to do it all. If you want a relaxing stay with plenty to do just in the hotel, this is an excellent choice and a major highlight of our trip to Japan.

The breakfast is buffet style and offers many choices from pancakes to miso soup and fish.

We stayed in a Western style Sanri room which had a private onsen with a view of Mt Fuji. The room is pricey but so worth it! The hotel provides shuttle service from 2 nearby train stations.The view was amazing! Mt Fuji was literally 5 blocks from the hotel! You could see it in full view from the window bench seat in our room and from the balcony. The onsen on the balcony was perfect! (My husband has a full sleeve tattoo so we decided to get the private onsen). Tattoos are only allowed in the public onsen if they are small and can be covered with a bandage. But I think it was better to share the experience of the onsen together vs going to a men or women’s one by ourselves. They provide you with a yukata which everyone wears around the hotel property. You can also rent a nicer one in the boutique in the lobby for free or there’s fancier ones to rent for a price. Pajamas are also provided. The reservation came with a kaiseki dinner and a breakfast buffet (with American and Japanese style food). I emailed the hotel in advance that we are allergic to seafood and they were so accommodating to alter the dinner for us. Service was awesome! The 2 lounges we had access to were great! Unlimited wine and a beer on tap! And a freezer with Haagen Daz & Godiva ice cream! They even have a nightly taiko drum performance in the lobby. The garden was also amazing which they light up at night. There’s also a foot onsen in the garden. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend!

The long-awaited Fuji Garden-style natural hot spring（Onsen） hotel with half board did not disappoint. Just like the name of the hotel, \"Garden and Touching Inn\". It not only has several natural springs public bath, but also the largest Japanese garden at the foot of Mount Fuji, which is beautiful all year round. The infinity multi-layer hot spring pool on the top floor offers an unobstructed view of Mount Fuji. There is also a large public bath on the first floor, divided into men's and women's baths, each with indoor and outdoor areas. There is also a QR code at the elevator entrance that can be scanned to instantly check the number of people bathing in the hot spring to avoid peak hours. My mom and I took a bath three times outdoors, which was very comfortable😌
The hotel also has a lot of activities, including kaiseki dinner,tasting green tea and snacks, hot spring foot bath in the courtyard, renting traditional costumes, even the cheapest colorful yukata like us looks good, and the Yamanashi Lounge with free and unlimited wine (produced in Yamanashi locally), beer, snacks, Haagen-Dazs/Godiva ice cream. I booked two different types of room for two nights. The hotel offers me to stay in the first room until the second room is ready to check in. That impressive me and make me more relax. All the staffs are friendly and nice. And all the plant decoration in every corner of the hotel are fresh and pretty. Food quality is good and I love the Japanese style Buffett breakfast ( they also have western style buffet too). I will come back to visit for sure
