Like many onsen resorts, this is intended for you to stay within the facilities. Many of the neighboring restaurants either don’t take children, or are so small that it’s difficult to accommodate them. With that in mind, the biggest issue is the on-site restaurant. It was serving pre-reserved tables only (no walk-ins) but because we booked on Expedia we had no idea that not booking a meal in advance would limit us. The staff made no indication of how to make a reservation for future days nor did the front desk mention anything at check-in. If there were ample dining options around this would be a non-issue. What makes up for this poor restaurant experience is the amazing in-suite / indoor private bath. Very convenient and wonderful experience!

Very beautiful, clean and large room with tatami living room and a western bed. Good amenities and nice large window panels with a view of the town.

The in-room hot spring, I am a bit skeptical that it is actual hot spring water because unlike the hot springs I have been to, the water doesn't have that murky color or even sulfur smell. It might just be normal hot water mixed with mineral powders of some sort at most to create an artificial hot spring bath. \"I may be wrong\".

Breakfast was good with a nice selection of Japanese style breakfast. Western choices was somewhat lacking but who would care for western choices when you are in Japan with all that delicious Japanese asa gohan.

Lovely stay all in all.

Very kind staff and clean rooms. I had booked a private bath as my father had a prominent tattoo but the reception was able to provide tattoo covers, which was very kind of them. The surrounding town tends to have quite a bit of cars, and there isn't always a clear sidewalk so potential visitors please keep that in mind. It is about a 10minute walk from Ito Station. Lovely overall, would love to return.

Awesome stay Ito

We stayed for 2 nights in the hotel without ordering meals. The hotel was clean and well maintained, good size room with private hot water bath (not hot spring), there was also public and family spring bath and it is not crowded. It was an awesome stay.

The night shift staff has a bit of difficulty to use English, but they always give help as far as possible.

As a young Canadian couple, we definitely felt the mood was a little old-school and maybe not as warm as anticipated.

Nothing was wrong with our stay, it simply didn’t feel as cool or luxurious as we would have liked. Also, very few foreigners were staying at the hotel.

The room was spacious and we enjoyed the private tatami room and private onsen bath with a great view on Ito
Be careful: guest with tattoos can’t access the communal onsen.

Great place to rejuvenate.

We enjoyed the stay at Laforet Ito. We booked a room with private bath and the experience was great. The dinner and breakfast were impressive. We could tell that the hotel and chefs put in lots of effort to ensure that the guests are well fed. Overall, I think this is a great hotel for a vacation.

I had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Laforet Ito Onsen Yunoniwa! The Ito area is so lush and green, it was a treat just getting to the hotel. We booked a room with a private onsen and it was really nice to not worry about going to/coming from the public onsen with all my stuff, but being able to just hop in whenever I wanted, whether that's super early before I head out, or super late after a day of adventure. me and my partner were also able to soak and relax together which we would not be able to do in the public onsen. The tatami room was very relaxing to eat and watch TV in after a soak in the onsen. The area around the hotel is very safe and walkable. There are plenty of small, unique and intimate restaurants and bakeries nearby. The laundry machines were easy to use. A great place to stay for a relaxing time!

The hotel vibe was weird and they wanted over 16,000 yen for breakfast. That being said, the room was incredible. We had a private hot tub. The public house was awesome. They had a reflexology pool by the lobby that was so great. We were a walk away from the beach and Joint (a very cool local brewery). I would stay here again!!

Wish I could stay here for another night!

This is a nice ryokan in Ito which is less than 5 mins walk from train station. It has a nice and cozy lobby and staffs greet you at entrance.
The Japanese room has a nice window with the view of local houses.
Dinner is served as a delicious 8-course Kaiseki set and breakfast is served at restaurant as self-served buffet style (Western and Japanese selection available).
Onsen is huge and even have a small outdoor option.

温泉がとにかくいい

部屋も広々快適で、温泉旅館にきた！って思わせてくれる部屋でした。温泉は家族風呂が３つもあったので、お風呂にいくたびに使ってました。寒い日でマラソン後だったので、身体の芯から暖まり、疲れがどっと放出されました。温泉の翌日はすっきり疲れが取れてました！夕食時には夫がアレルギーあるものが含まれており、配膳されてしまったタイミングでいったのにもかかわらず、迅速に他のものに交換してくださいました。本当に感謝です。

A fantastic getaway. A trip down to Izu peninsula is a common adventure for most in the Tokyo area, however the choice between towns isn’t always clear. This property takes away any concern. You can spend the entire trip in the luxury of the hotel or venture out to see the small city of Ito. A rich history of European visitors and access to the mountains within 5 minutes drive. The staff was very friendly, always quick to help. The dining was great. We only ate the breakfast, but it was fantastic! Options for both Easter and Western appetites. Love this hotel, would absolutely come back again. You can’t beat the Onsen options here, especially when you get one in your room.

This is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed! The service was the best.. we barely spoke any Japanese and they were still so helpful. The extra amenities of umbrellas, public baths, and restaurant were great. It also helped that the room itself was spectacular: a mix between western and traditional Japanese, not to mention the private bath was AMAZING. The views were stunning and the surrounding area was so rich in culture. Would definitely recommend.

A 5-min walk from Ito Station. If you don't mind exploring, you'll find many good local restaurants in the neighborhood. A few of them require bookings. The hotel is clean & has a traditional & modern feel. Our room has an indoor hot bath which makes it very convenient to us. It also has 2 Western twin beds & a big tatami room uses as a sitting area during the day. The hotel has a public foot bath located at the courtyard & public baths for their guests. Breakfast starts at 7am till 9am. Good amount of varieties to choose from.

Nice hotel but not a good value

Overall the hotel was average however I expected free breakfast as under \"included amenities\" it said \"full breakfast\" but found out onsite that breakfast was not included. In fact it was 27,000 yen more per person (54,000 in total) and the room and location alone was not worth the steep cost we paid.

It is a modern hotel and new deco compare to others in the area. It is 10 min walk from the beach. Our room is big enough for 5 with in-room onsen (hot spring bathtub). Comparing the breakfast with other onsen hotel, this is a simple buffet.

객실이 깨끗했고 매트리스도 상태가 좋아서 잘 잤습니다. 지하철역에서 빠르게 가면 10분에서 12분 걸려요. 대욕장은 실내랑 실외로 되어 있는데 깔끔해요. 좀더 온천 할 곳이 있었음 하는 아쉬움은 있어요. 다만 방안에 있는 경우 대욕장은 안가도 되니 잘 선택하심 될듯요

Wir hatten ein großes Zimmer mit japanischem Wohnzimmer und Onsen. Es standen zwei Betten zur Verfügung, wir konnten aber auch Futons ausrollen, diese befanden sich im Schrank. Das Hotel ist gut in Bahnhofsnähe gelegen. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen!
