Location was as I had hoped, lovely beach access, bus stops, Currumbin Sanctuary and general store opposite, easy walks to Currumbin Surf Club and Tugun.
The apartment was quirky, furnished with odd furniture and op shop style decor, a noisy single bed was unsuitable with squeaky springs. People noise from other apartments was often disturbing and being directly under the flight path to the airport was also an issue throughout my stay, I wouldn’t recommend or return.

Be aware the entire unit has 1 single aircon (none in bedrooms).

Unit smelled of cigarette smoke.

Fan/light combo turns on and off randomly (fun times at 3am with a 4yo when the light suddenly turns on).

General cleanliness could do with some work. Carpets pretty dirty.

The guy who runs the place is grumpy and wasn’t very nice to other guests (overheard a simple conversation)
The apartment had a nice new couch but I’ll never understand how places cheap out on things like dishwasher sachets and bin bags. Surely more than one for a three day stay

A modern 2 bed unit, well set up for the holiday maker. Great kitchen lounge room, with a dining area. Kitchen has lots of appliances, plates and cutlery.
The unit I was in was clise to the pool, spa and bbq area. The complex is a very short walk to a great walkway, and the beach.
The unit I was in had 2 bathrooms, which included a laundry and bathtub.
It also had a walk in robe.
Was disappointed in the bed. I didnt find it comfortable, plus the last 2 nights the upstairs neighbour was doing something wierd. From around 11pm until 2pm they where running and jumping...just annoying.

Overall, though, a good stay.

Lovely renovated unit,spacious & very comfortable. Pool & a few steps to the beach. The Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Zoo is 2 mins walking. Fun place for kids, pat a kangaroo & fantastic wild bird show. Very close to the Gold Coast Airport so very handy and no worry about traffic to get to the airport.

Apartment was nice, very spacious. But very dated and in much need if an upgrade.
If not good on stairs, ask for grouns level or choose somewhere else as lots of stairs and no lifts..
No give on checkout time, yes we were half hour past checkout time, but pressure was ridiculous, knocking on door twice and pressuring people in car park, whilst parking there car, asking for apartment keys.
Which was a bit disappointing.Especially as we were for a wedding and one of the couples getting stressed was the Bride and Groom..

We had a 2 bedroom apartment with a sea view on the second level which had a walk in wardrobe and en suite along with a laundry with another shower and a separate toilet with a large well stocked kitchen/dining and lounge for the family to spread out in.
The place has easy underground parking with access up to the rooms. The pool area with BBQs was great and very tidy. The place also has easy and close access to the beach and is well placed for driving to all the attractions the Gold coast has to offer. We were on the second level and at the start we did hear the planes but they aren't consistent and stopped at a good time and we didn't notice them after a couple of days, other than this the place is very quite. We would stay again when coming to the Gold Coast.

Access to lovely beach right out front and around the corner from Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary (we attended the free bird feeding a couple of times). The location of the property was awesome - the beach was on the door step and it was easy to get around. The unit was spacious if a little dated, but it was clean and well looked after. The only issue is that it didn't have a lift and was on the top floor so there were quite a few steps for us to carry our luggage up. Layout of the apartment was a little odd too with the main outside eating area located upstairs off the main bedroom and the TV away from the main living room couch. All small things that didn't diminish too much our enjoyment. There was also a night market across the road with lots of food options on a Friday night. The hosts were also great with communication and made checkin easy. Thank you!

Christmas 2019 Gift Voucher-Getaway

Thanks to Covid-19, finally got to use our Gift Voucher. It was money well spent. The Resort, which really is right on the beach, was within easy walking distance of the Swell Sculpture Exhibition held on Currumbin Beach and the beach view from the balcony of our apartment was amazing. The apartment was clean, roomy and well stocked with kitchen essentials. The Resort is on four levels and there are no lifts so be prepared to carry your luggage up two flights of stairs on each level. This did not bother us, however it may do if you are disabled.

Ok at first glance but beware of the cockroaches!

Unfortunately there we a couple of things that have meant we cannot give Sanctuary Beach resort a better review. On arriving after reception had closed, (which was a very smooth process, so well done!) we arrived at our room(unit14). I had booked a beachfront apartment with a balcony, I received a ground floor apartment with a patio and very little/no view of the ocean/beach from within the apartment, unless stood with nose up to dirty window. I contacted the manager who assured me this room classed as beachfront as you could see the beach from the patio! I had originally changed my booking from oceanview as wanted an apartment on the beachfront, this was at added cost but was not what i got! 'Be careful what you wish for!' The apartment was in reasonable condition at first glance but did have a problem with ants inside the apartment from the start then 3 days into our stay we met our first cockroach! We mentioned to the manager and whilst we did receive a spray, we were told that 'people from the uk didn't come to Australia because of the insects! A bit patronising and funnily enough cockroaches didn't come up on any of my searches! Unfortunately that wasn't the end of the cockroaches, we had visits every night from tiny babies to full size, over 20 at least! We couldn't wait to leave, again told the manager but didnt feel that much would be done about it! I don't usually write negative reviews but have to be honest on this occasion. While the apartment we stayed in wasn’t particularly modern it had all the mod cons. Kitchen was well equipped and I was surprised it also had a full laundry. Was very handy to be able to wash and dry clothes while there. The on-site property managers were fantastic. Very friendly and helpful, they ensured our stay was a good one. Pool was fantastic and the property is well located for public transport. Excellent for families.

unit 34 is very spacious with big living area. We joined the bads downstairs and we found lots of dust on the floor under the bad. I don't think it was cleaned for weeks. Toilet holder broken tap leaking . Lots of sand and food on the leather couch under and between the cushions. Otherwise this unit has lots of kitchen utensils plates cups and glasses. Would be nice if more condiments like salt and pepper were supplied.
In Canada even spices herbs etc are supplied in the apartments. Despite all that the place was very pleasant very helpful manager even help to cary for us some of the language from the car. We effeminately would recommend the resort and this unit.

We had a lovely stay at this property. Its location is perfect. The wildlife sanctuary and beac are both steps away. The property doesn’t have a lift from the car park and there are steps from the road which made it quite difficult for us to load / unload. If you’re have a pram, or mobility device it may be an issue too. The property manager did warn us about a number of steps to our apartment too but we hadn’t realised how many. If you have young kids or wheels - ask for an easy access unit!l. The property is lovely and well cared for, the manager was friendly and helpful and overall we greatly enjoyed our time there and would def go back!

Grounds are beautiful and clean. Lots of area to sit in the bbq space. Lots of shade. Swimming pool is meant to be heated but both the spa and pool were freezing. Apartment clean until you moved the bed- lots of dust which isn’t good if you have an allergy. Old school building which means noise from other apartment carries terribly. Number 39 has VERY limited Ocean views and the unit is dark and dank, desperately in need of an upgrade. Plastc plants on the dresser have an inch of dust on them and the furnishings are still living in the 80's.
A little more attention to detail could improve this so much.

Beach Front Sanctuary

We spent a wonderful relaxing few days over Christmas at Sanctuary Beach Resort. The location and setting are excellent - beach front access so you are just steps away from beautiful sandy beaches, yet set in tropical garden surrounds to provide tranquility and shade when needed. Walking distance to shops and Currumbin Surf Life Saving Club with its spectacular setting on Elephant Rock. The resort has easy beach access for families with children - no roads to cross, just a footpath/cycle path between the resort and the sand. It also has a small pool and tennis court, and one parking spot per unit, which proved very handy. Our unit was spacious and well appointed with everything necessary: tv, wifi, microwave, oven, laundry, nice bedding etc. The management were friendly and helpful.
The resort is not new and our unit was a little dated and could do with an upgrade, in particular the bathrooms, [this will vary from unit to unit as I believe they are individually owned] but everything was perfectly functional - clean, neat and tidy and in good working. Overall, a great spot for a family holiday.

Had a wonderful stay at sanctuary beach resort

This was a perfect place for families to stay, had a clean pool and the beach was right at the back of the resort, nice and quiet away area from the city, rooms were clean and it had all the required necessities provided for our 10 day stay, the only little down side was we needed a change of towels as we only used the ones given on arrival and also our bed sheets needed change but this was not a big deal as we enjoyed every bit of our stay.

it was a refurbished apartment which is great. However, it wasn't very clean.

Lovely staff, right on the beach and close to GC

This resort is close to all action the GC. Right on the beach. Full kitchen, laundry and three bedrooms.
Our kids are a little noisey and busy but felt very welcomed by staff.
Only negative was the apartment walls were a little dirty in places but overall clean and tidy apartment.
