I would say this hotel is adequate. Not terrible or amazing, just ok. I didn’t expect it to be anything particularly special for the price, but a few things were disappointing. Firstly, there was no air con, which was pretty horrendous in the sweltering temperatures. Other let downs in the room were: no kettle/coffee making facilities, no soap etc on the first night (we did get them after that though), and, despite being a double room, it was actually two single beds pushed together. Also, the mosquito mesh at the window was old and wedged up. The worst thing was the breakfast. Ok if you like extremely sweet things first thing in the morning, lots of cakes etc. There was yogurt and cereal. Then there was rubbery scrambled egg, hot dog sausages chopped up, ham and dry bread. Not good. So not good that we didn’t bother and ate out instead. Other than that, it was clean and pleasant. The only other thing is that the hotel is quite far out of the city centre, but it’s a short walk to the metro, which, once we’d cracked it, was great. The other advantage is, there are three places to eat close by, we ate in two of them and they were friendly, cheap and, most importantly, the food was so good.

Absolutely disgusting, not a 4 star hotel at all. No water no refreshments in the room. Bathroom filthy. Even door have manual key no cards. Beds are hard and the sheets and blankets are dirty. The AC doesn’t cool the room even!

The hotel is good value for the money but it is not a 4 star hotel as indicated on some web sites. I think it should be 2.5 to 3 stars. The facilities are too limited for it to be a 4 star hotel. The bath towels are thin like tea towels.

There are a few good restaurants a block away.

Comfortable stay!

Myself and my partner stayed here for 4 days at the end of January. Before coming to this hotel I had bad expectations for the room and the hotel itself because of previous reviews, but after staying here its the complete opposite as to what other people have said.
The staff are so friendly and their english was so good. They helped us make our stay very comfortable and even told us how and where to get onto the metro/bus. They showed us on a map where to eat near by. The breakfast buffet was very nice and there were many choices for us.
The cleaners were very thorough and after coming back from a day of travelling it was lovely to come back to such a clean and tidy room.
The bus stop is right outside the hotel which was very helpful seeing as we were travelling for the whole of our holiday around rome and the metro was about 10 mins away. I have not got a bad thing to say about this hotel and the staff.
The room was a standard double, we werent picky about it being huge because we were only there in the nights.
All in all a lovely, comfortable stay. Will be coming back again!

The best hotel in Rome for this budget,guaranteed.

This has to be the best hotel in Rome for this price range. It looks kind of new, as opposed to the much older looking hotels you will find in the city center. The room and the bathroom are spacious, at least by Roman standards, which is something you will not easily find in the city center hotels. And last but not least, the staff is extraordinary. All of them are friendly, courteous, young and good-looking, as if coming off the pages of an Italian fashion magazine. I only have positive words of praise for Ana and Romina (the breakfast girls), Dario, Nicola, Gianluca and Mariano (Reception/ Front Desk), as well as the ladies that clean the rooms that were also super nice and did their job so well. My week long stay in this hotel (Jan 18-24, 2015) was a very pleasant experience and I will absolutely return to Alba Roma in my next trip. The only down point in my review is that the hotel is a bit far from the city center. It is like staying in the suburbs in any city in the U.S. by comparison, but that was not a big problem for us anyway. Bus 558 stops right in front of the hotel, then you take the Metro (line A) at Subagusta Station and you will be in the city center in 30 mins approximately. Even if you stay in the middle of the city center, you will need to take the metro or the bus at some point, which cost exactly the same amount anyway. You can't go everywhere in Rome walking, I guess...
I highly recommend this hotel.

Far from town and terrible noise

During our stay the was a fair next to the hotel. They played very loud music until about 10:30 pm. Sunday night and played the loud music until 11:30 pm. Just as we thought we could finally sleep they started a fireworks show for another 30 minutes.
The restaurant across the street from the hotel is very good with typical Italian food. They don't speak English but they have an English menu.

Il ragazzo alla reception è stato gentilissimo. Nelle camere non era attivo il climatizzatore e non poteva attivarlo, assurdo viste le temperature di 35 gradi. Il caldo in camera era insopportabile. È stato premuroso in ogni caso nel sostituirmi la camera ma purtroppo il problema è rimasto, risultato, notte in bianco.

LA struttura per come è conservata non è sicuramente da 4 stelle ma il rapporto qualita prezzo da me pagato è più che valido .In camera non cera una scrivania etc .La colazione però era molto ben fornita ,il parcheggio ottimo
certo considerando che a Roma si paga la tassa di soggiorno di ben 6 euro credo che non si possa pagare per una singoa uso doppio come la mia più di 45/ max 50 euro

O quarto era confortável e adequadamente limpo, mas o banheiro tinha um odor não agradável (mofo) e o frigobar estava quebrado. A questão do frigobar foi solucionada, mas o odor no banheiro não. A localização é boa, pois tem ponto de ônibus em frente. Bem servido de restaurantes, mercado e farmácia nas redondezas.

Hotel decente con parcheggio e camere ampie e pulite in una zona della periferia romana totalmente persa nel nulla e sicuramente non attraente. Comodo per il GRA ma non per il centro e i monumenti. C'è una fermata della metropolitana a circa 500m.

La stanza, era particolarmente fredda, con una climatizzazione scarsa, così come anche le lenzuola non erano al massimo della pulizia. Personal Hilfsreich und nett. Frühstück leider mangelhaft. Kein gute Kaffee nur Toastbrot.
Kein Brötchen. Als Käse nur Gaudakäse. Kein Tomaten kein Oliven. Also insgesamt Frühstück Angebot war sehr mager. Wir hatten zum Glück Mietfahrzeug, weil da Hotel etwas außerhalb von Stadt liegt. Hotel Einrichtung sehr veraltet. Renovierungsbedürftig. Hotel wird viel von jugendliche Gruppen und von Asiaten genutz und vodaher war teilweise sehr laut und ich müsste mich mehrmals beschwerden.
Hotel Bewertung niemals 4 Stern sondern würde ich weil Personal nett und hilfsbereit war nur 1 Stern vergeben. Wir waren 5 Nächte dort und würde ich nie wieder das Hotel buchen und weiter empfehlen.

Det eneste der var vildt belastende ved opholdet, var at der var skolebørn der, som larmede på gangene sent om aftenen, pga. voldsomt ekko i gangarealet.

Bortset fra det ligger hotellet relativt okay - der er forbindelse til offentligt transport, men selv med det er der dog et stykke ind til selve byen og seværdighederne. Der er indkøbsmuligheder og restauranter i nærheden, men ikke noget overvældende.

Håndklæder blev udskiftet dagligt og sengen blev redt; shampoo, håndsæbe blev udskiftet hver dag.

Personalet var altid smilende og hilste når man så dem - selv stuepigerne!

Alt i alt, fandt jeg opholdet godt og billigt. :)

Sono arrivato in una giornata piovosa e Non avendo dimestichezza con i bus, ho preso un taxi. L’accoglienza buona, camera confortevole e personale pronto a risolvere i problemi.... colazione discreta.... qualche problema con la luce e con l’acqua calda, ma tutto superabile!!! Anche se non ho trovato un coperta per coprirmi ....

Buen hotel para una estancia breve

El personal es bastante amable, el desayuno es muy bueno, sobre todo la parte del dulce (Cruasán relleno de nuttela, de crema, donuts buenísimos, etc...) la parte salada algo pobre (queso de sándwich, salchichas, huevos revueltos, jamón y beicon). Las habitaciones con amplias, con tv de pantalla plana pequeñitas. Las camas SOLO tienen una sábana, y puedes coger mantas del armario. El baño tiene secador, bidé y plato de ducha. Tiene nevera minibar vacia que puedes usar.
Las habitaciones tienen hormigas, pocas, pero tienen algunas. Aunque es un fallo, es algo muy común en hoteles por culpa más bien de los huéspedes. El hotel es muy tranquilo, salvo que como a nosotros, os venga un desembarco de chinos que ocuparon más de medio hotel, haciendo ruido, durmiendo en los pasillos, comiéndose todo el buffet de desayuno,....Cosas que pasan.

Die Zimmer sind klein und haben keinerlei Komfort. Die Badezimmer sind sauber jedoch in der Dusche am unteren Glas bereits Schimmel zu sehen. Die Ausstattung des Hotels ist Alt und teilweise schon kaputt. Lage ist suboptimal - knapp eine Stunde bis ins Zentrum is einfach zu lange. Resümee: Nur zum Schlafen okay - dennoch für mich nicht zu empfehlen.

Hotel per tutti i gusti.

Sono stato a Roma in vacanza con la famiglia. L'hotel è pulito, confortevole e lo staff è competente ed educato, composto da ragazzi sempre disponibili e sorridenti. L'hotel è collegato da servizi pubblici ed il centro è raggiungibile agevolmente (autobus per raggiungere la metropolitana e da lì qualsiasi destinazione). Sono molto soddisfatto del soggiorno e tornerò volentieri all'alba hotel.
