We would absolutely recommend staying at this hotel! It was located a 5 minute walk from the train station, with easy access to surrounding towns — including Cinque Terre and Portofino. It was also just a quick walk to the sea and the city centre. The staff was so friendly and hospitable, and made our experience very special. The front desk was open 24 hours, and they stored our luggage for a few hours when we arrived and after we checked out. Our room was clean and comfortable and the rest of the hotel was also very clean. Overall, this is an excellent choice if you are looking for a hotel in Chiavari and we hope to be back someday!

Hotel Ferrari is perfectly fine from my perspective. The breakfast is very good and there is a café associated with the hotel. There are no meals at the hotel outside of the café hours 07.00 18.00hrs but there are lots of restaurants close by. Parking is free in the town car park on the beach front but that is about 800mts away, so not far unless it’s raining (which it was). Internet was ok but not fast enough to download data packages.

Great stay in a great location

Very well located hotel with convenient free parking. The staff are what really make this hotel such a pleasure, they are helpful in every way. Breakfast is really good and fresh. We asked for a quiet room with a balcony which is what we got .. very well located for the cinque terra only a few minutes from the train station and the beach for rejuvenation in the evenings. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

Clean hotel

The hotel was a quick decision when we needed a place to stay. It was easily reached by a walk from the train station, and it provided a purpose. We needed to sleep with the window open to be cool that night, and the hotel is on a busy street, so the noise was disrupting. It was a decent hotel, but it wasn't what we wanted so we left after one night. Evaluate your needs, and choose wisely. Nothing wrong, really; it's just not what I wanted.

Nice hotel...close to the beach!

The four of us (wife and two adult children), had a great stay! Very decent rooms (with cool a/c), centrally located...within walking distance of pretty much everything...clean and nicely set up. The staff were wonderful and helpful. The breakfast was 10/10, with everything from fresh fruit assortments, pastries, cereals, yogurts etc. Expressos and cappuccinos included! Overall a great experience and we highly recommend!

Wonderful place to stay!

The hotel staff made us feel like we were right at home; we felt like we were staying with friends. The hotel was close to the train (which could be a bit confusing at times). We used the beach near the hotel which was wonderful after a day of touring. The hotel staff were very attentive and helpful when recommending restaurants, etc. Our room was clean, beautiful, and one of the biggest rooms we've had in Europe. The bathroom was clean, beautifully tiled. Nice pillows, couch, chairs, desk, bed comfortable. I never did get the name of all the staff, but we want to thank them for their hospitality. The breakfast was great too; once we sat down, our coffee came to the table just the way we like it. We never had to ask, it was just there......and they US a gift on our departure!!

Ok place to crash for a night

Just an ok hotel. In the uninteresting downtown of a fairly uninteresting city. We stayed one night during a trip to Cinque Terre. It was about an hour drive from the 1st town (Riomaggiore). Decent quality for the price, but otherwise uninteresting. Air Conditioning is controlled by the front desk (you have to ask to get it turned on, and we didn't bother), which is annoying.

Chiavari Hotels.....chose the Ferrari

Charming hotel, which although modern has clearly not forgotten old-world courtesy and service. My wife and I were staying for 3 nights in May as a base to visit Cinque Terre and Portofino etc. The desk staff were full of helpful information about how best to get where by train and boat....where to eat and drink etc.
Only criticism is the road and train noise, but we stayed put at the front and had no problem sleeping. The other couple were moved without complaint by the hotel to a more \"protected area.
All round an excellent experience.

The hotel was spotlessly clean with big rooms and very comfortable - the only downside is that there are no lifts to the rooms, but the staff are more than happy to help with your bags so no big deal.

I celebrate my 50th birthday in Italy, my plan was to visit all the Italian Riviera (which I recommend to everyone), Chiavari is a beautifull town, lovely people, perfect hotel location,(exit train station right hand 5 blocks away) great breakfast. the guy at front desk was the first one to help me with my luggage and took it upstairs to the first floor to my room. *thanks*. I recomend to everybody to stay at list 2 days at this hotel and you can visit CINQUE TERRE from here.) one day in Chiavari and one day the tour of 5 towns.

The hotel has only 1 floor with no elevator. They did take our luggage to our room. There was no air conditioning and the weather was warm so the room was warm. The breakfast was included and was very nice. Very convenient to the Train Station.

A fantastic find on the Italian coast.

Aside from being a little difficult to find when we first arrived in Chiavari, we had a wonderful stay at Hotel Ferrari. The rooms were large for European standards. Housekeeping always had our room and beds looking fantastic. The air conditioning, which was monitored by the front desk was awesome - we had to have it turned down at one point as our room was too cool. There was a great balcony with table and chairs where we enjoyed a few picnics. The bathroom was large and had a terrific shower which was welcome after a day at the beach. The hotel was within walking distance to the beach and the train station. We had a car and found the parking was okay; if we couldn't get a spot at the hotel we had about a five minute walk to a large free parking area. We all enjoyed the great breakfast - fresh fruit, cereal, croussants, yogurt, etc. The restaurant also served a wonderful lunch and dinner menu which we did enjoy as well.

The staff was fanstastic! The majority of them spoke fairly good english which can be rare in Italy. They were very friendly and their dinner recommendations were perfect.

The hotel itself was nice. It was clean, rather modern, pretty typical eurpoean size room. My only compaint with the room is the bed was a bit hard, not a big issue in my opionion. No wireless internet in the room, but it was free in the lobby.

The location in Chiavari was great, it is a very short walk to water and less than 5 min walk to the old town where the shopping and dining is. Parking was as advertised, a free unpaved public lot about 1/4 mile from the hotel, no complaint. The only thing I will mention is that if you are travelling here make sure you do your homework on Chiavari. It is not a glamorous Italian Riviera town, if you want that try Santa Margherita Ligure or Rapallo just 15min north. However if you need or want to stay in Chiavari I would highly recommend this hotel.

Mycket trevlig personal som var hjälpsamma vid frågor gällande utflykter. Rummet var rent och fräscht men litet och vi bodde utmed gatan som var väldigt trafikerad. Hotellet ligger nära strand, tågstation och centrum.
Parkering finns på en stor grusplan nära hotellet och är gratis.

Un albergo semplice che ha i suoi punti di forza nella pulizia delle stanze (impeccabile) e nella colazione (la più fornita mai trovata). Non c'è ascensore. Personale gentile e disponibile, sempre con un sorriso. Rapporto qualità-prezzo corretto per la zona (Liguria) ma sproporzionato se confrontato con altre zone italiane. Non fanno le uova strapazzate a colazione; questo e la metratura sono le uniche cose che distinguono l'hotel Ferrari da un hotel a 4 stelle; per il resto non gli manca nulla.
