I was traveling by myself so it was fine. I will probably stay here again. The hotel is convenient to I-10. My room was very quiet and the bed very comfortable. But I couldn't bring my wife here. She would complain. Why? The AC was really difficult to work. Would only come on set on 60 F. And the bathroom door had been previously kicked in. I hope they don't think I did that. I arrived late so maybe I got a bad room.

I stay there about once a month and always feel safe. Property is old but has been updated. Rooms are clean and staff is super friendly and accommodating. Quiet for being right on the main road. Clean and comfortable! Owner lives on site. Lots of food within walking distance.

Very very dirty . Broken toilet seat, tile missing in bathroom floor. Visible dirt on doors, floors and tables. Electric plug ins didn't work. Bed was comfortable. If we had not been so tired we would have asked for a refund and gone somewhere else. Front desk clerk was very nice.

The shower had hair in it from a previous guests, the bed frame made an awful noise when you got up fron it. The room was not clean, no matress pad on the mattress. The hotel didn't even have a coffee pot in the lobby even thought it claimed there was coffee and tea in the common area. It was petty quiet there even though it was on a busy road, and it was pet friendly. There was a kitty named junior that was working in the lobby. Will not stay there again.

front desk area is locked. You ring doorbell and someone lets you in for check in. No common area with coffee set up as shown. Room smelled like old smoke and musty. We had to buy air fresheners to be able to stay. We booked two nights but left the morning after we arrived. Room was dirty. Shower curtain smelled like urine. Bedspreads had multiple stains on them. Bathroom had half roll of TP and a used empty shampoo container. The exterior grounds were not well kept. Trash and loads of cigarette butts on the ground in parking lot and around entrance.
On a positive note the staff members were very nice and it is in easy walking distance to several food places and shops.

Worst place we ever stayed.

Once you walk in the room you smell the heavy humid air, feels almost like wet. The towels in the bathroom were literally damp. But the worst part was when we lifted the bed cover there was some hair on the bed sheets. So we slept on the bed cover. Luckily we had our own pillows with us. We had a two night reservation but we left after one night although I paid for two nights in advance. And the old blurry tv and tv remote hardly working.

Well I was expecting basic and just hoping for clean.Initially I was pleased with cleanliness of room other than the comforter being a little stained. There was a tile floor which generally makes me feel better about a rooms cleanliness Then I looked at the bottom of my socks after walking around for less than an hour. And you can see the results by the picture below .
So I would say if the room was cleaner I would give it and 8 or 9 overall(AC works well, fridge and microwave on room) but it's hard for me to get past how gross these floors are. So the best I can give it is 6 out of 10.

The front desk lady was soooo sweet. But we had to switch rooms 2 times because the AC in the first room didnt work. The second one the water ran and made everything wet from the humidity. But she was so nice about it and moved us to another room. With great AC but the beds were hard. The outside of the place was dirty looking. Iv never stayed at red roof that was like this. Usually they are the best iv ever seen.

If you’ve been on the road for 8 plus hours, out of it and need a place to “crash”, this place will do. The floors were sticky, had to wear socks around the room and they were brown after walking around a few minutes. The tv was slanted and fuzzy. Two of the lights flickered in the room no matter how much I tried to tighten them. The bed sunk in towards the middle, not great for the back after a long drive. The only plus was that the shower/tub was clean and the staff were nice. Not sure how the review is as high as it is.

We got EXACTLY what we paid for

Our stay was Good for the amount of time we spent. The cover for the air vent in the bathroom was missing, the back to the toilet seat was missing, an empty toilet paper roll was left in the bathroom, we had to figure the temperature gages in the bathtub. The beds are listed as queen sized, those were definitely Full Sized. Not even my kids were comfortable. There was a fridge, but no microwave. However, the staff was extremely friendly and professional and the property was well kept. They are also pet-friendly which is a plus ( since we were traveling with our fur baby as well. We stayed two nights and that was enough. The stay was good for the price, but next time I think we’ll pay the extra for comfort and better room upkeep and amenities

Fine on the road trip

This hotel is located on the main road to Chipley. Near the hotel, there are multiple fast-food chains, and a big Walmart. It is very near the highway. If your plan is to visit Washington county or you need a rest for the night on your way to/from Panama City Beach or Pensacola, this is a reasonable place to stay. I have stayed at Red Roof Inn's for more than 30 years. The brand stands, and the basics are available. The room was decent but requires a facelift.

I could not be more pleased with the friendliness of the staff. That is very important! The room looked nice and tidy. The bed was very comfortable. The only thing that would be an issue if l was going to nitpick is that the vent in the bathroom was dusty and there was a little dust buildup on the floor molding area around the toilet. We will probably stay there again in the future.

Hotel is older but under renovation. Being close to I-10 there we’re traveling contractors staying overnight. Many were loud into late night early morning. Electrical outlets worn where plugs would not stay plugged in. Vent fan in bathroom did not work. Biggest complaint was the bed mattresses were extremely uncomfortable making restful sleep near impossible; lumpy and creaky springs. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Convenient parking with several good restaurants & fast food places close by.

Rude attendants. Doors to reception area locked. I sign in at a window covered in paper messages. Can't see the attendant, who disappears with my ID and credit card. We had to change one of the rooms. We paid for a non smoking room that smelled like cigarette. On the other hand my room had a dirty toilet that we had to clean ourselves and a dead bug in a corner of the room. The ice machine doesn’t worked, neither the refreshment vending machine.

Other reviews said this was a clean hotel. This hotel was very dirty, inside and out. Certainly you get what you pay for but my 1st room, bedsheets, blood stained, now smoke detector, wires hanging out of the wall, no in room telephone, I changed rooms.2nd room, no blood on sheets but bed didn’t look clean, sheets old and tired, drink rings, uncleaned on night tables, hold punched fist size in bathroom door. Night person very apologetic. Sorry but not a stop for a family. I was solo and had to rest from driving but wouldn’t stop again.

Bed and pillows were molded (did not take a picture of pillows). A few roaches were killed. The floors were so damp and dirty you could not go without some type of shoes. When we brought the molded pillow to the front office. They apologized and gave us a new pillow said they were renovating. Mold should not be present wether renovating or not. There was no elevator. We rented two rooms. One had towels soap etc. The other had one bath towel and one hand towel. Very overpriced for the condition you had to stay in. We were evacuating a Hurricane Ida so choices for hotels were slim to none. We had no choice but to stay here because it was the only place we found available. Makes me ill thinking about how much was charged to stay here in this unhealthy and unsafe environment and not offered any type of refund or discount.

This is probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The room smelled of mildew and cigarettes. There were insects climbing the walls. Most lights did not work. The outside window was cracked. There was a hole in the bathtub, etc. I could go on and on. We asked for another room, and noticed that there were other empty rooms, but were told they could not accommodate, but were very nice about it. The staff were very nice considering what they had to work with. The issue was not the staff, but the owners/management obviously do not care to maintain this hotel. I WILL NEVER STAY IN CHIPLEY AGAIN.

Reserved a main level floor as my husband had a back surgery a few oaths back and stairs are hard still. I called 2 weeks ahead to verify main level floor as there was no elevator. We got there they had none for us. Very disappointed, ran out of toliet paper in room had 1/2 roll and no extras. Very dated would not recommend

Service desk was nice but rooms left me disappointed. Stains on sheets, shower/tub would leave floor wet, mold in air conditioning unit. Location had lots of outside noise (heels, steps, traffic, frogs) co-worker had holes in walls and tiles coming off as well as mold in bathroom.
