Charming old world ambience

This is a charming place to stay. Excellent value for money, nice pool, good food. The bedrooms are quite dated but large and comfortable, parquet flooring and bespoke 1950’s colonial furniture is lovely but can be less insulated so noisy neighbours could be an issue.

Beautiful but fading

We've stayed at Inya Lake many times over the years, and the lovely grounds, the clean swimming pool, and the balconies for every room have been the draw to come back. This time, our room was not cleaned all day and even after asking for it to be done before going to dinner, we returned to find it still not cleaned. A subsequent request for towels and water had to be made twice. The balcony offered one chair - no table, no seating for a second person. No usable outlets anywhere near the bed. Stains on the corridor carpet. Feels like a place that is coasting on the past; as many other reviews have noted, it needs refurbishment. A little attention would go a long way - this doesn't need to become a clone of the big international hotels, but some basics seem to be forgotten. The rooms are spacious though, and the pool and grounds are still beautiful. Staying here again will depend on overlooking the lack of attention to details and the haphazard service.

The hotel is in a great location (except for the convention facility in front), and the staff is great but it is in dire need of updating. When i stayed here 20 years ago, it was a deluxe property, however, it doesn't look like any care has been made since that time.

Nice hotel in beautiful location

This is second time we have stayed in this hotel and were happy that we did. Hotel is in beautiful and quiet location by a lake. Room is spacious and comfortable although looking a little tired. Nevertheless, room service was excellent and we always returned to a clean room and were provided with new clean towels and new bottles of water daily. Staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent choices given for breakfast.

Hotel with a lovely walk by the lake

The hotel offers a wonderful breakfast buffet spread and there is also a lovely walk around Inya Lake. Service from hotel staff (front-desk, restaurant, concierge, etc) was excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Excellent hotel that feels like a resort. Huge pool, beautiful area around the property, super friendly and helpful staff, spectacular breakfast (the best hotel breakfast I have ever had, and I travel a lot), surprisingly good and stable internet, spacious room & balcony, good value. The only negative thing to mention would be the lack of maintenance in the building, with a few pealing out carpets and wall painting around, but it is not a big deal, it is just the feel of worn out. If they do some small refurnishing, this hotel would definitely deserve 10 out of 10. We loved our week there and we would certainly stay there again.

Inya Lake hotel has great grounds, right by the lake. The staff is very attentive. The rooms are in need of a makeover. They are getting a bit old. They have all the basics and a nice bathroom. The food is good.

Spacious and quiet for a good rest after a day out. Gym is well kept. very good breakfast and stay is value for money.
However, smell from the fresh coat of paint they are painting on the corridors was a bit unpleasant but did not seep into the room.

Inya lake hotel has been very grand in its day.Reception and dining are elegant and welcoming.The rooms are a bit jaded but comfortable bed and very clean.
Breakfast is generous and good quality,but dinner menu a bit ordinary and expensive for what delivers...Good japanese restaurent in the grounds.overall a good experience..

This hotel has a lovely atmosphere and extremely good service. It is a taxi ride from Yangon shopping districts but if you are interested in a beautiful natural setting and a comfortable hotel, Lake Inya is an excellent choice.

Beautiful hotel on the lake

I really enjoyed staying at the Inya Lake Hotel. This is an older hotel with a colonial/Myanmar culture atmosphere, beautiful gardens and swimming pool right on Inya Lake. The rooms were big and well appointed and the ensuite was large, clean and luxurious and in keeping with the ambiance. The balcony was great for watching the sunset. The wi-fi was good which is not always the case in Myanmar at the moment. Breakfast was buffet style covering the cuisine of many nationalities, and the food was very good. Nice and relaxing on the edge of Yangon. A taxi to the city costs 5000 kyats and 7000 to the airport. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Air conditioning very noisy, making sleep difficult. Deep bath had no grab handles at all - danger of slipping when getting in or out. 'Hot' water was only warm most of the time. Very little pressure in the shower. Bathroom needs upgrading generally.
Room cleaning and laundry service both excellent.

Wooden floor are very old & needs to upgrade the floor.While I stayed there I experienced black color water came out when I open basin water tap & maintenance guy flushed out the system by leave opening the faucet about an hour to get clean water. I booked on line through Expedia including breakfast meal but they refused to provide it. I don't know whose fault it is, Expedia or the hotel?

Isolated Hotel

Reasonable enough hotel although very dated and simple facilities.
Main problem is that it is in the middle of the lake and there is nothing to do once your boatman leaves you. Even if you hire another boat, it is a long way back to any town. Restaurant was very ordinary. Fine for one night only as it makes a good base for lake day tour. But don't stay longer.

Tranquil setting amidst Asian urban busyness

While the building and furnishings are antique and physically worn a bit, the room was adequate, yet the service, dining room, pool, tennis courts, and expansive yards on the lake were first class. The hotel seems to almost daily host classy conferences or weddings which can add some \"noise pollution\" for several hours, overall they are not too intrusive into the tranquil environment.

Inya Lake is a mixed bag.

The hotel is old and a bit run down. One wing of the hotel has central air which can not be adjusted. It's either freezing cold or shut off. If you are unlucky enough to be on the top floor and under the air con equipment, you wont be able to sleep. The hotel staff will quickly give you a better room but with tourist season coming up, you may not get this option. The best thing about this hotel is it is secluded on Inya Lake with beautiful grounds. The bad thing about this hotel is it is secluded on Inya Lake and there are no stores or restaurants nearby. One is captive to the hotel restaurant which is overpriced. The food here appears to be gourmet but it's really not. I received food direct from the kitchen cold. I think this hotel is overpriced if over 100 US per night.

Overall, overpriced and overrated,poor quality, seemingly 1950/60s age, in need of much refurbishment. Fading 3-star. Isolated location. Two old and rickidy elevators serving 5 flloors. Leaking piping in bathroom. Wifi software is very out of date; modern internet brousers jam quickly; speed is extremely slow. Can't process access to hotels.com. Other hotels in Rangoon have quite acceptable internet access. No newspapers. Stately and sedate ground floor; the rest of the hotel should be gutted and rebuilt.

Wonderful lakeside resort! Restaurant food is great, pool is wonderful. Stayed here as a layover before flying out of the country. Very relaxing and pleasant. Outside of the hotel could use a new coat of paint, but otherwise it is lovely. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. Don't miss sunset!

A good option between town and the airport.

Staff, food and leisure facilities great. Lovely location next to the lake with beautiful views at sunset. Out of town so need to travel by taxi but a good halfway house between town and the airport. Rooms a little dated though, heavy use of air freshens to mask a musty smell (same in two rooms) and very little sound proofing from outside or corridor. Wifi is very, very slow as with most of Myanmar.

Nice relaxed environment next to the lake. As others have said, it is a little tired but nothing a lick of paint couldn't fix. Staff are lovely and friendly, breakfast is up to usual standards and lounging by the pool next to the lake is pleasant.

A taxi ride from anywhere except for a few good restaurants and one club within walking distance.

would stay again if I wanted a bit of piece and quiet at the end of an exhausting trip (as we did). Quick and easy to get to airport if you have an early flight.

Breakfast is excellent!! Very clean and lovely hotel. But there is no proper landscaping infront of the hotel.
I love the view from the dining area. The management should properly done the landscaping.
Wifi connection is very poor and also not much TV channels. The hotel should look into it.

Little out of the way but makes up for it

The location is actually very good if you don't mind being a little out of the way. The ILH has large enough grounds that you can have a good run, the pool is large enough for serious swimmers, and the breakfast buffet is very good. The hotel is a little dated but it's still one of the better hotels in Yangon. I would definitely stay there again.

Stayed two separate nights at this hotel.Staff were excellent and service was great.I was drawn to the location being halfway to the city from the airport.Liked that it was in a quiet area on the lake and being an older building it has nice thick walls...didn't hear a thing on either side.Massive buffet breakfast and storage for bags which proved helpful for me.Great visit...great management and staff-Would highly recommend if the location suits your purposes

The hotel needs a renovation from top to bottom. However, if the hotel was remodelled, they'd charge twice the current price. But room was comfortable containing teak-wood floors and old photographs of Rangoon on walls. Service was friendly.

Hotel is located in nice and quiet part of Lake Inya. Nothing is nearby.

Fitness facility was adequate. Outdoor swimming pool was big and pretty.

Although breakfast offered a limited number of choices, it was delicious, with egg station and great fruit spread.

I stayed here for a night recently. The staff were fairly helpful and the room was quite decent (but no better than a typical Holiday Inn in USA). The hotel is close to the airport (about 25-30 minutes) but a somewhat far from the river/downtown).

クラシックで綺麗なホテルです

ホテルはややクラシックな感じですが、清掃や補修も行き届いて好感が持てます。今回は子供がプールで遊びたいというのでこのホテルを選びました、プールは子供用の浅い部分もあって水も綺麗です。敷地内に日本食レストランはありますが、ちょっと買い物に行くにはメインの通りから距離があるので車が必要です。

ヤンゴンでも有名なホテルでタクシードライバーもホテル名で把握している場合が多い。
ダウンタンよりも北側、空港よりに位置しているので、空港へ向かう際に渋滞に巻き込まれる心配が減る。
インヤー湖畔に面していて、雰囲気も良い。
生活必需品の購入などに関してはちょっと大きなショッピングセンターは距離があり、少し難点。
敷地内、直近にレストランは複数あるのでそれは便利。

いいホテルです

天井が高くて開放的は部屋です。狭めの部屋でも狭さは感じません。
設備的には老朽化していますが、清掃は行き届いており、清潔なホテルです。
食事も美味しく、パンや、ミャンマーのチャーハン、焼うどん、麺などは日本人でも美味しく食べられると思います。
インヤレイクを望む景色は最高です。夜はとても静かです。
ダウンタウンからはやや距離があり、シェダゴンパゴダや、ダウンタウンに観光に行くには、立地的な不便さを感じるが、そこを加味しても泊まる価値のあるホテルです。
一階にはインヤレイクを望むバーもあり、敷地内にはイタリアンレストラン、和食のお店もあります。

とにかく静かで景色も良いです！！

インヤレイク湖に面した静かな雰囲気がとてもリフレッシュ出来て、
朝食のビュッフェはホテルならではの安心感があります。
買物や食事に便利なダウンタウンから少し距離はありますが、
ダウンタウンに近いホテルでは自動車のクラクションがうるさく、
ゆっくり休めなかった経験があります、その点、インヤレイクホテルはオススメです。

コスパが良い

古いホテルですが、奇麗にされていてとても快適でした。料金も安いのに朝食は、とても豪華でした。
和食、中華、ミャンマー、インド、洋食、いろいろあり3日間いましたが、全然飽きなかった。
従業員もみな親切で、プールも快適、敷地も広く、敷地内にATMも3台あります。

ダウンタウンからは少し離れているが
落ち着いて過ごせるホテル。
設備の古さが感じられるところもあるが、
従業員の対応もとても良くストレスなく
滞在できた。
大通りから少し入ったところにあるので
タクシーはホテルの人に呼んでもらう必要がある。客は欧米人やアラブ人が多く、アジア系は少ない印象。

ホテルのスタッフの対応は、とても良いです。深夜にお水が必要になりました。ホテル周辺はお店がなく、ホテル内のお店も深夜は閉まっています。そこで、フロントに相談したところ、部屋までペットボトルの水を届けてくれました。これは本当に助かりました。
ただ、部屋の空調がまったく効かず、廊下の方が涼しいような状態です。フロントスタッフに相談しても、壊れていないからこれが通常だと。冷風18℃にしても熱風しか出ず、お風呂あがりや睡眠中は汗だくの蒸し風呂状態です。昼間は外の気温が高いため、部屋の中で少し動くだけで汗がとまらなくなります。お風呂も換気扇がありません。残念ですが、もうとまらないと思います。空調を直してほしい。

敷地が広く、インヤレイクに接していて、リゾート感がある。
敷地内のプールとテニスコートも素晴らしいです。

こんなもんでしょう！

部屋は広いが全体的に古い。シャワーの水圧が低い。トイレがウォシュレットでない。メインの道路から入り込んでいて、徒歩での外出には不向き。ベランダに置いているエアコンの室外機の音がうるさい。朝食はまあまあ。

静かな湖畔のホテル

タクシーの運転手に名前を告げればすぐにわかるところがよい。深夜１時に到着するも、問題なくチェックイン。天井が高く、古くからのホテルの趣が少しある。WIFIも問題なし。朝ごはんはいたって普通のビュッフェで、満足できる。普段はホテルで利用しない、両替と長距離バスの手配を尋ねてみたが、あまり芳しくない答えだったので利用せず。朝湖畔を散歩したが、これがこのホテルのハイライトだと考える。

湖にいやされる

部屋は少し古いが、朝食はゴージャスでおいしいし、ヤンゴンの喧騒はないし、またなんやかんやで戻りそうです。空港にも近いし便利。スタッフは親切。
