Poor hygiene: the floor is dusty and stained with lots of stains. There may be insects in the pillow. I found that my left cheek is swollen and itchy when I sleep. There is a problem with the drainage of the bathroom. I have the same problem when I change my room. It was not a pleasant experience.

Nice hotel for families

Overall super good experience. Very nice hotel for families. Service was so so at the beginning but it improved along our stay and it seems is much better than other hotels.
Family rooms are impressive (fully equipped apartment with 2 rooms). The children room is absolutely amazing.

The hotel is unquestionably beautiful. The grounds are lush and gorgeously landscaped and maintained. Our room and the public areas of the hotel are clean and well-maintained. We were very disappointed in a beachfront hotel whose beachfront we were forbidden to swim in. We understood that this was for safety reasons but we did not know this in advance. We were restricted to the hotel family pool because the \"grownups\" pool was closed. The family pool was crowded and very warm.

Lovely tropical weekend getaway

This was the first weekend getaway for a group of friends after the Covid travel restrictions. The hotel still had some limited services (no spa, no pool bar, some pools still closed), but what was open was wonderful. The hotel is beautifully landscaped, the rooms are large and very comfortable and it all feels like a wonderful tropical getaway. The breakfast buffet is extensive and very good. There is a food street mall right next to the hotel which provides different options for dinner. The staff were very welcoming, and if the level of English spoken was limited the desire to help was nevertheless clear.

It is a great surprise for me. Such a wonderful hotel at a good price. Nice facility, very clean, modern design. Beautiful landscapes. Access to a small quiet clean beach. Very friendly staff, nice and warm. The breakfast buffet is superb, big selection, both chinese food and western style. Plus, it is right next to the biggest food and shopping center in this area. There is a shortcut from the courtyard of this hotel, that takes you two minutes. Definitely will come back!

Room wasn’t ready until almost 2 hours after check in time and the staff didn’t do much to ease our wait. Pool had missing tiles and some loose tiles and some trash.

Nice hotel bar with views (the ones showcased in many of the hotel’s photos) is only open for club guests from 6-8pm and only till 11pm for normal guests.

Food offering does not match the five star hotel, except in price.

There was a mixed up with the bookings when we arrived. We booked the Huan Villa but when we arrived it was advised that there were no more villas. They placed us in two executive suites for the first night and upgraded us to the presidential suite for the remaining two nights. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel room was clean and had very good facilities. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Special mention to Terence Ng from Yu Cun restaurant who made our stay extra special with his hospitality. There was also a shopping/food complex just outside the hotel. Only thing that I did not like was the check-in which took very long with barely any air con at the reception area (had to also stand to wait in the queue).

Great hotel, but needs minor imporvements

This hotel is as good as the description. However, there are 3 things that was discouraging:
1. The hotel doen't provide chairs and beach umbrellas at the beach. Understand it's a new rule from the local Government (explained by a staff), but it does affect the value from a guest point of view.
2. Some facilities are getting old and stained, in need of some maintenance.
3. One of pools there was for adults only when I visited 2 years ago. It was a great area to relax, have a swim, drink and eat. However, it's now full of kids... jumping and yelling, the same as the other pools.

Great pool area, nice breakfast and high quality rooms. The beach is a public beach and not really so swimmable. There is a small mall with some restaurants attached to the hotel, otherwise nothing else anywhere near the hotel expect other resorts.

Well maintained 2 year old Hyatt hotel

There were 3 main restaurants. We tried them all. All were nice. The kids loved the fun pool (tipping bucket and slides). Hotel staff were helpful and the house keeping people were exceptionally efficient.

Staff are nice, services are generally good. Buffet breakfast contains mostly Chinese dishes. Grand cafe is probably understaffed especially during BF time, tables and chairs are not properly cleaned before seated, food is refilled only when it is empty. Gym is good. Unfortunately Can’t stay too long in this hotel as one will get bored.

Nice hotel linked to restaurant complex, nice surprise and definitely a positive factor in deciding which hotel to choose. Not so nice surprise is no swimming at the beach, and also there is nothing like tourist maps, Sanya attractions type of leaflets /information at the hotel. We came across a map of Hainan in the hotel next to Grand Hyatt, the day before we left Hainan :(

Nice New Hotel, need more in house food choices.

Check in was slow and the room wasn't ready when it should have been. Hotels.com said there was a sofa bed in the room, which is why we booked it as we have 2 young children, no sofa bed when we got there, they had the description wrong!!! We eventually got a roll away bed for the children, but it wasn't really big enough. Room service, the main grill, the lobby, the pool, all served the same limited menu, it needs more differentiating between them and the main grill restaurant had a great menu at lunch time, but then a very restricted one in the evening!!! Room was great, nice and big, great view and a huge bath overlooking the sea, but do try to get a high room or you will have to drop the blinds when you get into the bath! Great pools, if a bit cold, shame there is NO swimming allowed on the beach, think this should be down to personal choice and not just a blanket policy. Also the pool bar could have been a great spot for a sundowner, unfortunately there was hardly ever someone to serve there, no stock unless you wanted Chinese beer, and half the view is ruined by a big brick building right next to the bar, not sure what the architect was thinking!!! This all sounds negative, however we had a great time, sunshine, pool, food and drink, lovely grounds!

We decided to have a short break in Sanyan as its a well deserved after working this year. To get here from the train station is by bus 11 yuan but can be as high as 115 yuan from dodgy taxi. It's a least 1 hour away. We got there and the check in process was very easy and helpful. The team at reception including *Laura* were very intent on being very respectful to the customers. The grand walks to the reception and the walks to your room where quiet and relaxing. We entered our ocean view room and it was not big it's huge even the bathroom was like another room and a view while you soak your office life away with your favourite music in the background. The furniture In the room is just excellent with the bed like a soft bed of feathers and the pillows soft to the touch of white freshness. The TV was incredibly large and a demo of the vast activities that are on offer like massage, swimming, kids club etc. There is 3 pools which are clean and majestic and just next to very lovely gorgeous beach with that gold fine sand. We pushed to afford the include the breakfast and if you like food there is a mega huge spread of to choose like melon, cereal, bread toast, omelette, congee, noodles, eggs boiled, scramble, fried just everything, so much you want eat it all. The WiFi around the complex is very good I did some tests and got around 5-7mb dl and ul speeds it's good enough to write my reviews. It also spans right towards the perimeter of the hotel and even the beach ahhhh bliss.

Nice resort in Sanya

This resort is new and very clean. It's particularly suitable for families with kids as it has got a child pool, indoor playground (the Camp Hyatt). Camp Hyatt also provides various programs for parents and kids.

Hotel staff are very polite, patient and enthusiastic with their work, especially those from Camp Hyatt. We had a very good time at Grand Hyatt Sanya Haitang Bay Resort & Spa. I would recommend this resort for those families with kids.

Received and welcomed by a team of professional staffs. During the stay of 4 days, experienced exceptional hospitality services of an international brand style covering room service, catering as well as facilities all around.

The only criticism is that the location is quite remote from towns of Hainan.

Perfect stay in Sanya

It has been a pleasant stay with you. I was here to celebrate the anniversary with my girl and the Valentine's, and I must say you've made our day very delightful. Upon arrival the bell was very friendly, assisted us with our bags and guided us to the check in counter. It didn't take long till we check in and the process was smooth and quick comparing to most of the hotels I stayed in in China. The hotel facilities were being clearly introduced by the front desk and we were being partially guided. The room was fabulous, spacious in size, nicely decorated as we were honeymooners, clean and the sea view was lovely.
As we went to the grill for a late lunch, the waitress was friendly and smiling to us. The food was excellent and being served very fast.
We have them booked into one of the promotional spa treatment, which it was, I would say the best treatment I ever had. All of the staff in the spa was very professional with a warm smile on their faces. The treatment room was very quiet and during the treatment the music was just a perfect match alongside.
Later on at night we had ordered the set menu for room service and I must say it was a proper five-star room service. Table was nicely decorated by one of your staff (who I forgot to ask for her name), she has so much patient and well trained. The food quality was the best amongst all other hotels in sanya.
So after all I would like to say a big thank you to everyone of you, who made our stay perfect and lovely.

Definitely worth visiting again!

We went there for celebrating my grandpa's 80-year-old birthday. The hotel offered us free birthday cake and flowers, which made us very impressed. Staffs were attentive and passionate. Overall, services were good. Food was of Hyatt quality, and meet our initial expectation. Ocean view from our rooms were gorgeous and you will just never get bored when looking down from the balcony. They also organized various events for countdown 2017. It is a true 5 star hotel as what it's stated. I would definitely visit it again in the near future.

海棠湾很不错的一家酒店，吃饭方便

整体上来说酒店很不错，房间很大，房间用品不错，设施也很新，房间的浴缸很大，阳台很大，早餐非常丰盛。

不足的是泳池离酒店有点远，泳池偏小，没有太多景观，沙滩很好，但是风浪很大，没有太多的水上活动。

酒店直通食街，吃的选择比较多，但里面的超市价格黑贵。

Fantastisk hotell som anbefales på det sterkeste. Vi hadde et supert opphold. Dyr men god mat. Men rett utenfor hotellet er det mange restauranter, shoppingsenter og vannland.

Husk å ha adressen til hotellet på kinesisk da taxisjåføren vår ikke kunne lese engelsk.

We arrived at 2:30pm and waited for 2 hours till 4:30pm to get a room ! Staff claimed that my room are not yet ready! Disappointed for the late check in !
And in the second day ,after playing at the pool till 3pm and back to room for rest ,sadly the room has no housekeeping service ,I didn’t put any do not disturb alert n after clarify ,staff said too busy so not yet do the house keeping. What a bad experience ! The facilities overall meet a 5 star level however the services is much much below standard.

도착했을때 오후 5시까지 방청소가 되어있지 않아서
체크인이 딜레이 되고 다음날은 밖에 나갔다 들어오니 오후 6시가 넘었는데 방청소가 되어있질 않았음
청소를 요청하였더니 다른곳은 하나도 청소가 되어있지않고 단지 수건만 몇개 교체되어 있었음

항공시간에 맞춰 체크인, 체크아웃 시간을 조정해줬으며 아레나몰이 연결되어 있어서 편리했습니다. 트윈베드룸을 신청했는데 다른 휴양지에 비해 침대사이즈가 작은 것이 아쉬웠습니다

I stayed in this hotel last year. However, one year after, I really can feel the change. The facilities are older, the room, especially, bathroom is less clean. As well as, the bedding articles are moist and with wired smell.

Staffs are very friendly but need English training

Staffs are very polite and friendly and eager to help. However most of staffs have limited English communication skill. It would be helpful to provide basic English language training to staffs in order to serve international customers that don't speak Mandarin.

Staff can be better trained to advise families with kids to stay out of \"adult only\" pools since there are a lot others kids and children pools. Unfortunately a lot of kids are occupying the only adult designated pool and make it noisy (staffs are there but provide no advise to those families with kids).

My overall experience is very good and satisfaction.
