The hotel was really nice and in the perfect location. The staff were super friendly on arrival and helped us out of the taxi with bags and showed us to the reception. The hotel atrium is very grand, the inside reminded me of a cruise ship. There was a fountain, large seating area and glass lifts. It was really plush and a nice welcome.
The room was large and nice. It had a little corridor and then the room had a nice bathroom with shower cubicle and separate bath. The bed was big and comfy and the maids were amazing. We left them a nice bit of feedback on how well they cleaned the room and they gave us more complimentary water the next time. The sheets were clean and the room had everything we needed, from iron, safe to fridge and TV.
If I was being really picky I would say that the view isn't good, but we were barely in the room so this was not an issue at all. The artwork in the room was also really nice and an insight to the city. 10/10, I would stay here again.

Everything else was nice, easy location, metro nearby, and staff were helpful. Location made getting around Beijing simple. Only downside was our room. The bathroom needs an upgrade, flush was broken and taps were loose. Not very appealing. If they fix the rooms, it would be a great stay.

Staff are very helpful. It was our first stay in Beijing and China so we needed some assistance and the staff were very helpful.
The room was a good size and the bed was super comfortable. Bathroom is dated and the shower is over the bath. But other than the shower, everything was great. Loved our stay.

I was charged RMB 0.25 for a phone call that was never even connected.
The front desk staff tried multiple times and knew no one answered.
The night before check-out, 1 was told there were no charges. Yet at check-out, this fee was still imposed.
It's not about the amount—it's about the principle. Charging for a failed call and then insisting on it reflects poor service and a money-driven attitude. Very disappointing.

I was very upset about the gym situation.
Each time I went to the gym it was closed. I stayed for 4 nights and continuously had to ask about the health club and each time there was an issue as to why it wasn’t open.

Also, the pictures do not do justice to the health club. There is no free weight area. Just 2 treadmills and an Olympical.

Secondly, my bathroom faucet in the shower was coming apart even after I noticed that the cocking job was done poorly. The room was spacious but our AC was not working properly. The room always felt humid and warm even at max AC power. The windows also do not open.
Maybe we just got a bad room but I was very disappointed given the decent reviews.

The house keeping staff was fantastic. The best part of my stay was the woman assigned to our room. She was polite, always made sure we had water and kept our room neat.

Location wise, it was okay. There are food options close to the hotel and it’s about 10 minute walk to the subway station.

Lovely location, very close to the 8 and 1 train lines and a decent amount of bus stops just to the left of the main entrance.

Theres two 7/11's a two minute walk away in either direction aswell as the main wangfujing shopping street.

The hotel rooms themselves are large and comfortable though slightly outdated (though it wasn't an issue) - the bathroom tub and shower showed their age the most but the water pressure was good.

One thing to note is if you have two king rooms (I was travelling with my mother) you won't be able to have a connecting room, you'll be a room apart as they only do a connecting with a king and two singles.

The staff was helpful, there was an issue with the lights which they fixed immediately.

The hotel is at a five minute walk from a shopping centre area with plenty of restaurants and a tube station (Line 5)

1st time in Beijing. Stay in GJYY Hotel because it has the great location the “Wangfujing” walking street just crossed the street. Dining and shopping around the areas. Staff are friendly, breakfast is delicious. Because the hotel is quite a bit old, the furniture needs to be replaced & room may need to get renovations. But overall it’s a nice place to stay.

The hotel is past its sell-by date. I believe it used to be a Crowne Plaza, but not much has been left since those days. Rooms are in definite need of updating, and there is a particular feel of neglect in rooms and public areas. Service was pleasant. Front desk staff were amicable, while at breakfast staff was fine but way too fast in clearing the tables while one went for a refill or something. Location, though, is fabulous. Pity that Wangfujing street lost its old charm, and is now just another street with famous brands lined up.

Old charm, comfortable room, the staff are ok, but we loved Bob from concierge, he is so nice, friendly and helpful. Probably the best out of all the staff we met. Housekeeping guy on floor 6, Paul was also very nice. Mattress was nice but the pillows are super soft and not very comfortable. Our room remained cold throughout, even with the heating. We had to change room on the first day despite the hotel being a no smoke zone, ours stank of cigarettes. No problem though, they changed the room immediately. Very convenient location, lots of food places and super close to Jinyu Hutong Subway Line 8.

The rooms and location are the best part of the hotel.

The wifi doesnt work and you will need to use your data. I complained to reception few times but they kept saying that some websites are restricted in China. When I was using wifi in different locations in Beijing I had no issue whatsoever so it definitely is poor wifi in the hotel only.

Sadly we used all our data so it was rather expensive experience for us

This hotel was excellent. The location was within walking distance to Forbidden City. Conveniently located to a lot of shopping- lots of local food near by. It had an excellent buffet style breakfast with many local and American options. Was extremely affordable. We had breakfast there everyday of our stay. The staff was super friendly and many spoke English.
The only thing which isn’t a deal breaker- the bathroom tub and toilet were a little dated but the rest of the room was excellent and beds were very comfy.

Hotel location was amazing, not to far from train station, use grab to call a taxi (its like uber), lots of food option in surrounding area, including Halal resturant. Forbidden city is walking distance. Whats app, youtube, google, facebook, and other apps dont work in china, also most shops (and i mean most) dont accept visa, make sure to have we chap or ali pay downloaded and ready, or take out cash from lots of near by ATMs or Money exchange. Roads are really quite becuase most cars are electric. Hotel room nice and clean, hotwater in shower is fast, TV all chinese channels. We booked a private car ro great wall of china, you can do a tour which is cheaper but wont have to option to return when ever you like.
Make sure to have translater ready on phone, most dont speak english.

Lamento no recomendar este Hotel, muy descuidado, sucio de mal trabajo al limpiarlo, no sirve el a/c, lo reportamos y vinieron a arreglarlo pero solo nos dijeron que no era temporada de usar a/c y nos abrieron la ventana y luego trajeron un ventilador, el baño lo trapeaban con un trapeador apestoso que hacía oler todo el cuarto a orín, el personal muy poco servicial. La comida regular, la ubicación excepcional. No lo recomendaría.
