A very nice 5-Star hotel for business and personal vacation travelers visiting China from around the world.
Excellent breakfast with rich selections of western and Chinese food and drinks.
The hotel staff, including the Assistant Manager, the Reception team, Restaurant personnel, and the Concierge are all very much friendly and helpful to guests and visitors.
New Century Hotel Beijing also provides great services for business meetings and commercial activities with well equipped conference halls and meeting rooms.

Overall a good hotel to stay.

First time staying at Nikko New Century Beijing. Overall stay was good. Well located in Beijing as it not too far from most places to visit in Beijing. Hotel amenities is a bit aged but still acceptable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Will stay again for sure when visiting Beijing.

Extremely warm in the room, first day when i arrived

they told me,the air condition isn't on due to the weather in Beijing is still low (average 13~25)

but my room due to the location, it's always 25 degree in the room

during noon it hits 28 degrees, i complained to them

but they didn't do anything about it

I couldn't sit in the room for 30minutes

Decent business stay.

The hotel is a ten minute walk from the National Library subway stop and across the street from a Carrefour grocery store. The main hotel restaurants were crowded at mealtimes (some were full and turned me away) and the food was fine but not outstanding. The wi-fi was fast and reliable. The gym and pool were nice and service was quite friendly. It was a very comfortable place to stay for business, but I don't know that I would go out of my way to stay here again unless I was looking for something in this particular area.

One Tired Hotel

Rooms badly in need of facelift. Room had residual odor of cigarette smoke and a gas smell emanated from bathtub drain. On the positive side, staff was very pleasant and service oriented.

Huge Cockroaches in the room

Woke up seeing finger long fat cockroach in the room, terrible experience, being told by hotel they tried to kill those cockroaches but can't entirely take them out, only got simple apology from front desk, no compensation from hotel at all. Monk(maybe fake) sitting in the lobby try to make conversation with you by start with words like I see problems in you, overall a terrible experience from this hotel, not recommended.

Superior rooms are much better than standard rooms

I booked the superior room with a king size bed. It was not bad and both the room and the bathroom are clean and of good size. Wifi speed and ventilation are good too. My friends however booked the standard room - the deco was quite outdated, bathroom was smaller and the room has much fewer electric sockets. We booked taxis through the concierge and travelling around the city by taxi was quite convenient. There is a Starbucks in a building opposite the hotel.

Stay at Nikko New Century Beijing, March 2014, 12

The location was perfect to attend the Mens World Curling Championship 2014; right across the street. The staff tried to provide as much service as they could in english . The concierges were extremely helpful taking care of all our requests.

The room was very clean with a fair bathroom. I loved the blond wood finish on the floor we stayed; it did however have a number of scratches that should be taken care of.

Furniture with drawers would be much appreciated for extended stays.
A guest laundry facility coin-operated or not (washer and dryer) is a much needed amenity. The Marvel Hotel Chain provides such an amenity which we availed ourselves of with great delight.

The shops were well stocked with high quality inventory; the staff was very helpful.

The service in the Japenese restaurant was poor; waitreses neglected their duties being to busy checking their phones.

Nice hotel close to the National Indoor Stadium.

Choose this hotel as was close to the National Indoor Stadium where watched the 2014 World Curling Championships. The hotel building itself is fairly impressive as is the foyer. Stayed in a superior room which was spacious enough and clean although décor a little tired. When mobile phone stolen the staff were outstanding especially the Duty Manager Diane and Kevin from the front desk. They even arranged for a taxi and bell boy to go with me to collect it. Yes! I got it back! There was a good mixture of European and Chinese food on offer and really nice too. Although there is not much else around this area apart from the Zoo and shopping malls the subway is easy to use and extremely cheap as are the taxi's.

Clean and decent location

I had a dated room (my colleagues were assigned rooms with newer interior), so the room was a tad darker at night. The subway stations were at least a ten-minute walk, which wasn't too bad. Biggest perk is having a supermarket (Carrefour) right across the street. All in all a comfortable stay.

This hotel is located across the street from the Capital Indoor Stadium where the Cup of China competition was held. We reserved a business/deluxe room, which was very comfortable and spacious. When we decided to stay an extra day, we booked the lesser priced standard room, but were allow to stay in the same room - very hospitable, friendly and eager to help. We request the breakfast buffet when checking in (which is discounted). The selection is large with American and Chinese dishes and was very satisfying. Transportation: The subway station for National Library is the closest stop. If you need a cab to the airport, ask the doorman to get it for you. The taxis are right outside and cost around CNY150 per car (ask to run the meter). If returning to this event, I would definitely book this hotel again.

While the hotel had recently been renovated, there were issues with public area cleanliness and maintenance, such as filthy carpets. The guest room cleanliness was better. Staff friendliness and helpfulness varied by individual, some were terrific others less than helpful. There was no heat in the hotel for several days with no offer of possible alternatives or solutions.

A great way to spend a weekend ...

My husband and I flew here as spectators of the Cup of China (a Grand Prix figure skating event). This hotel is located across the street from the Capital Indoor Stadium - a perfect location! We had a business room on the 11th floor. The room and common areas were kept very clean and neat. The maid cleaned the room every morning while we were downstairs for the breakfast buffet - a good deal if purchased while checking in (saves you almost 30%). There is also a very good restaurant in the adjoining building called South Beauty - I highly recommend it. I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again.

There are better alternatives

I frequently travel in AsiaPac, and stay at the major US chains. I looked for a 5 star hotel with easy airport connections, but this is at best a 3 star with difficult connections. Their are no food options near the hotel except for street food and a KFC across the highway. We were hot and tired so had dinner and the following breakfast at the hotel. The dinner was what you would expect to get and to pay at a 3 star hotel, but the breakfast buffet was aweful and cost $66 for two (this was for cold dishes only, not hot or Asian dishes which were available at a higher rate). The breakfast ripoff will keep me away from future Hotel Nikko stays. In addition, the sink drain was attached to the floor with silicon glue. This leaked all over the bathroom, and they finally moved us to another room. Te sink was the same, but leaked slowly enough that we could wrap towels around to contain the worst of it. Really, there is no reason to stay at this hotel or in this location - there are much better options.

딱 하나 웹상으로 호텔에서 북경 국제 전시장까지 45분으로 나왔는데 이것은 거짓말입니다 90분 정도걸리고 차기 막히면 2시간 걸립니다 이때문에 저는 너무나도 힘들었습니다

Overall good but time to refurbish

Nice location with the beautiful bamboo park and the zoo just across the road. The 40 sqm room felt spacious and the staff was helpful and friendly, the room was nicely cleaned. The hotel is named New Century but really it feels like stepping into the previous century, it's time to refurbish the rooms. The lobby looks nice though. From time to time there was smell of smoking in the room, not terrible but not very pleasent either. Unsure where it came from.

Like many other places in Beijing not all members of the staff speak English.

We did not try the breakfast or restaurants at the hotel. There is a Starbucks in the next building with decent sandwiches which is where we had breakfast instead.

因班機延誤所以清晨才到酒店，櫃台植班人員態度極不耐煩，堅稱找不到我的訂房資料，要我自行和Hotel.com的客服核對訂房資訊，有失五星級酒店應有的服務態度！
酒店設施老舊、健身房和游泳池沒有毛巾提供，房間設備也都很老舊，失望！

バスタブの栓が壊れていて、埃が落ちていました。日本語NGなのは仕方ありませんが、夜の緊急事態等で英語も厳しいスタッフがいるのは困ります。食事は美味しく、今回携帯紛失のトラブルにもスタッフ3人が各所への連絡等に尽力してくれました。以上を総合して普通の評価です。

ロケーションは捨てがたいが…

イベント会場に近いため、割と定宿的に使用しているが、英語・日本語が通じるスタッフがかなり少なく、スタッフ同士の連絡も悪い。チェックインして部屋に向かうと清掃中。2日目は滞在中に掃除に来たので、13時以降食事で外すのでその時に頼んだところ15時過ぎに戻っても見清掃。同時に初日にシャワーが出なかったので修理を頼むも未修理。2日目はコンシェルジュにtクシーを呼んでもらうも前日の公共タクシーが40元だったのに対し、何の説明もなく同じ場所に行くのに89元を要求される。ことほど左様に「日航クオリティ」とは言い難い。定期的に開催されるイベントに近いだけが取り柄で料金もそれなりなので、より良いサービス、もしくはより近いホテルがあれば変更を検討中。

Overpriced and inconvenient.

It’s a terrible hotel. The tap was blocked and it was impossible to take a shower. How could they let customers check in to a room like that. It’s overpriced for the old and not well-maintained facilities. The nearby area is dark and not many shops.

今回の滞在は、短かったので、まあまあです。
ホテルから飛行場までのリムジンバスはなかったのが残念です。それで北京空港からホテルまでタクシーで行こうと思って、タクシー乗り場で、ホテルまで３１０元要求されました。それは高すぎるので、バスで途中のバス停まで行って、そこからタクシーで行きました。合計４３元。翌日はタクシーで空港まで行きましたが、それでも１００元でした。北京空港のタクシー乗り場の高額な請求には憤りを感じました。３倍も高いですから、ぼったくりですね。改善をすべきと思います。適切な監督機関に要求をお願いします。中国玄関口北京のイメージが悪くなるので。

日本人スタッフの常駐を

前日は、天津の日航飯店に宿泊したこともあり、同じ日航ホテルとして差を感じました。天津のホテルは、日本人スタッフの方がフロントにいて、とても丁寧に対応していただけました。そのつもりで、チェックインしましたが、日本人スタッフの方はいらしゃいませんでした。客室は、建物自体が古かったので、電源不足など多少不便さを感じました。トイレも、天津のようにウォシュレットではありませんでした。全体としては、いいホテルと思いますが、施設・設備の近代化を進めていただくとありがたいです。

閑静な環境のホテル

今回は長城マラソンに参加するために2泊3日で泊まりました。
部屋はスタンダード、ダブルベットの部屋でした。少し古めかしい感じの部屋ですが広く、ベットも広くて快適に眠れました。
TV,有線ＬＡＮ、Ｗｉｆi,ポット、金庫、冷蔵庫、浴槽、ドライヤー、ボディシャンプー、保湿クリーム、シャンプー、リンス、歯ブラシ、櫛、綿棒、インスタントコーヒー、無料の水2本、一通りそろっています。
スタッフは中国人の方しか見ませんでしたが、丁寧に対応してもらえました。
換金は１Ｆロビーの受付カウンターの近くに自動の換金機があるの24Ｈ使えて便利です。

1) 21時頃のチェックインにかなり待たされた。
2) 部屋に石けんがなかったので、持ってきていただく手間が生じた。
3) やや古いが掃除は行き届いている。ベッドシーツは、気持ちがよい。

とにかく、笑顔もなく不親切。
日本語も、英語も通じない。二度と北京には行来たくないと思った。
VPNもレンタルしていったが電波状況も良くなく途切れることが多い。これは北京全体に関して言えることかもしれない。
高級なレストランでもデビッドカードが使えないところもあり現金は必要だと感じた。

住宿品質不佳，煙味濃厚 Thick smoke, poor service quality

已經備註請給予無菸房，一進房仍聞到濃厚的菸味，與櫃台反映，皆以無房可換為理由拒絕，連住2晚也無法改善煙味問題，此飯店的服務與品質，令任感到不值得信任
Has been remembered Please give non-smoking room, into the room still smell the thick smoke, and the counter reflects, all without a reason can refuse, even living 2 nights can not improve the smoke problem, the hotel's service and quality , Make the post feel unworthy of trust.
