What I love most beyond the safari experience and access to nature was the thoughtfulness of care with staff. From having a bath ready for us whole we were in safari, to remebering my dislike of cilantro. Highly recommend staying here, the staff and property outistanding.

My stay at 57 Waterberg was amazing. The food was better than some 5 star restaurants. Ephriam, our game driver, was the best. He made sure our drives were relaxing and enjoyable. I would also recommend a scheduling a massage with Witness.

Good but room for improvement

We went here for my boyfriend's birthday and the villa is just stunning, very secluded, in the middle of nature has a private heated pool. The pool area at the villa does need some umbrellas for shade as it was super hot and unusable. The meals were great, I was very happy that they catered for vegan options. I'm just not a fan of artichokes and leeks so didn't enjoy those as much but still grateful that they chef catered for my needs. The game drives were great, we had really great sightings in the two days we spent there, the snacks on the game drive could be improved for vegans though.
I was also quite disappointed that we couldn't get a couple's massages done even though I requested them more than 2 months in advance. They could have told me and I would have booked else where. When asked about it, staff were quite rude and unprofessional as the manager said there's nothing he can do as the other lady didn't come to work. As we walked away, I heard him tell the staff that he's not going to get another lady in just got one couple. I think that could have been handled professionally. Anyway, that kinda rubbed me the wrong way especially since I've been planning this for a while.
I was quite grateful for the complimentary birthday cake and the chef even made it vegan which I didn't request, really really appreciated that. Thank you chef!

Perfect first safari experience!

My girlfriend and I stayed for three nights at the end of March to finish off what had been an amazing trip to Cape Town. We literally do not have a single complaint, all food was amazing from breakfast, lunch and dinner with two different starter and main course chefs and a dessert chef providing exceptional 5star food. A birthday cake and song was kindly given as a surprise for my birthday, as embarrassed as I may have been 😳
General service could also not have been better with constant attention given to ensure a perfect stay.
The location is peaceful and provides a great view over the lodge’s watering hole which if lucky has some great game viewing, and the surrounding reserve. Our lodge “Zebra 1” was consistently spotless with comfy bedding, and all the amenities and more, and some occasional lion roars from outside to make it extra special.
Both guides we had: Josphat and Ifram (apologies if this is incorrectly spelt) were both exceptional at spotting and getting close viewing of the desired “Big Five” as well as some other beautiful wildlife and fauna. Both were incredibly interesting and gave a great insight into the animals and everything about the reserve.
The perfect place to top off an amazing 2 week stay in South Africa and

Beautiful Boutique stay

Ótimo hotel! Safáris excepcionais.
Quartos amplos e com grande conforto.
O que fica a desejar é a comida, que depois de um dia começa a ficar repetitiva no sabor.
Piscina não aquecida, o que dificultou aproveitar essa área de lazer, pois estava frio

Mooi park, mooie locatie maar geen vijf sterren

Als je om iets vraagt moet je er 3x om vragen terwijl schoonmaakpersoneel ook had kunnen zien dat het op is.

Massage geboekt voor 2 direct na t ontbijt, boeken ze er 1 in tijdens een gamedrive.

Geen mogelijkheid tot banaan oid voor gamedrive terwijl ik diabeet ben.

Toetjes steeds t zelfde (iets met munt en lemon; vind ik niet lekker). Als je om iets anders vraagt krijg ke het overigens wel zonder problemen.

Chef hoofd en voorgerecht is vriendelijk en goed. Als je zegt dat je iets lekker vindt, zorgt hij ervoor dat je het krijgt.

Geen prijzen op kaart voor glazen wijn en fris, alleen voor flessen.

Aangegeven dat je cola light wil tijdens gamedrive en dit bleek teveel moeite. Pas na aanhouden werd het meegenomen. Er was wel steeds blikjes cola, fanta, gin tonic wijn, bier etc.

Micheal, een van de bedienden in het restauranf/de bar was echt heel vriendelijk.

Ontbijt was eerste dag echt heel slecht (geen fruit, geen toast, geen keus in eieren, geen brood, geen broodjes, enkel cakeje en yoghurt en mini stukje zalm). Met meerdere koppels geklaagd en de dagen erna was het opeens heel uitgebreid.

Mooie locatie, ruime kamer, massage was goed, schoon, zwembad was klein maar heel mooi park is mooi. Geen 5 sterren. Heeft zeker wel de potentie, maar zou het zeker kunnen worden. Tip is om vooral dingen aan te geven em te vragen, ze doen wel echt alles voor je heb ik het idee.

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour au 57
Le cadre est magnifique, le personnel aux petits soins.
Les chambres sont immenses et elles offrent une superbe terrasse d’où on peut admirer les animaux qui viennent se rafraîchir près du point d’eau.
Cuisine au top !
Game drive de reve.... éléphants, hippo, rhino, guépard, lions, girafes, zèbres....
On a deja envie d’y retourner !

perfect stay

57Waterberg is perfect. The only regret was that we had only 1 night. So we will be back that is for sure. The lodge was awesome the staff so friendly, the food delicious. the ranger Josphat very very informative and experienced.

Diese Lodge besticht durch alles!!! Ein perfekter Service, herausragende Küche und einen Tourguide, der seinesgleichen sucht. Von der Begrüßung am Westgate, dem Eingang zum Reservat mit Champagner für uns Gäste über den Empfang im Hotel, die Vollpension, die zwei mal am Tag stattfindenden Touren incl. Morgenkaffee und Sundowner in der Wildnis bis hin zum exzellenten Service aller Angestellten kann man mit Fug und Recht von einem Traumhotel sprechen. Wir hatten 5 Tage Zeit, uns ganz der Stille des Ortes hinzugeben. Mit nur maximal 10 Gästen fühlt man sich wie in einem privaten Ressort. Alle Mitarbeiter geben sich unendlich viel Mühe, diesen Eindruck zu unterstreichen.
Hier stimmt einfach alles. Die \"Zimmer\", eigene Bungalows, haben ca. 70qm Wohnfläche, also Platz genug zur vollkommenen Entspannung. Im Hauptgebäude sind die Gäste wie im eigenen Wohnzimmer untergebracht. Der Küchenchef leistet, wie oben beschrieben, eine hervorragende Arbeit. Sehr abwechslungsreich zaubert er vom Frühstück über Lunch bis hin zum Drei-Gänge-Abendmenü immer wieder Überraschungen, die er auch gerne selber am Tisch erklärt.
Das Highlight sind aber die Touren in das 35000 ha große Reservat. Jo, der Guide, hat einen Wissensstand über Flora und Fauna, der schon an sich herausragend ist. Sein Gespür für den richtigen Ort, um immer wieder einen der Big Five aus nächster Nähe zu bewundern, ist einzigartig. Und immer wieder verblüfft er mit neuen Highlights aus der Tierwelt.
