Ocean view abs pool lovely. Property looks tired and has awful meal options besides breakfast. There's no lounge or place to get a cocktail, there's zero amenities besides a pretty sad gym.

Staff were exceptional. Room was spacious, modern & very clean. Lovely view of the ocean & garden. Suite had a kitchen with kettle & toaster but no dishes, cutlery etc?? Good size fridge / freezer but very very noisy. Had a small balcony but only a plastic stool to sit on. Metal railings & air con housing were very rusty & badly corroded so didn't look 5☆ quality. Few local restaurants & spas across the road from hotel, which were good & a 15 minute walk to An Bang beach with lots of places to eat & drink.

The place is huge but very down and many shops and rooms closed. Staff are wonderful and pool is nice and big. Lots of trash and finish made the beach unusable. About a 15 minute walk in to A Bang town where all the action and restaurants are.

The service and policy at this resort is not customer first or friendly. The food quality at the breakfast buffet was not great…there were no cups one day and had to drink tea out of a small 50 ML paper cup… there was no tables to sit at. It seemed that the resort was understaffed and so as people finished eating tables were not being cleared fast enough for other guests…given the busy tet holiday season it was disappointing. If you served yourself, you could not take your meal back to your room. You had to eat it at the buffet hall. This made no sense to me even a teacup wasn’t allowed. I would not recommend this resort no come back to stay here.

Our family of 4 stayed in the two bedroom apartment and had no complaints with the room. It was clean, spacious and had two balconies and two bathrooms. Beds were really comfy too!!

Although it was equip with a kitchenette, it was clear that no cooking was allowed in the rooms and there were no utensils or plates so im not sure why they are in the rooms.

The hotel is massive but was very empty which we found odd. Nicely situated on the beach but had to walk down to other resorts that had chairs/beds. Would be great if they provided that. The pool was great for the kids and was clean. Lots of chairs there.

Breakfast buffet appeared big but was just okay. Definielty nice it was included.

Location is far enough from anywhere where a grab/taxi is required. On the flip side you get the quiet which we appreciated.

All the staff were awesome and so helpful and the spa is amazing!!! I had the best massage and facial for such a great price with top notch quality service. Highly recommend!

Overall I would recommend this hotel for family stays and more so if you are looking to relax and get out if the hustle and bustle of the city.

The staff and the facilities were good. The beach was full of garbage from the ocean every day and they didn’t clean it. Was quite disgusting and for a 5 star hotel was very disappointed in that regard. No beach chairs or umbrellas so I guess they assume everyone wants to sit by or swim in a pool

The staff so really helpful and accommodating, the the bell hops at the main entrance, the reception staff (really helpful) to the waiting staff in the restaurant - they all made sure you were looked after and were very attentive to what ever you needed.
Special mention to the little Pizzeria place down the bottom as you go down the escalators… life saver when the restaurant is closed and love the burgers (must try).

We stayed at one of the Villas to accommodate our family of nine. It was the perfect size with a large kitchen and sitting area on the main floor. The Villa was clean, and while some parts of the property were dated, only the adults noticed, the kids did not. Some of the AC units in the rooms were not functioning properly, with one being too hot and another too cool. Service was great because maintenance workers came shortly after we informed the front desk. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet, but my husband and children did not. I thought the variety was great with Asian and Western dishes to accommodate all palates, but they would rate it a 4/10 at best. I'd rate it an 8/10. The resort was understaffed at breakfast. Service remained good but you could tell they were stretched thin. We spent Christmas at this resort. The resort grounds were weird. There were many vacant storefronts. It seemed like they built it with the hope that there would be many more patrons, but the only time it felt busy was at breakfast and other times, it wasn't as busy.

Although a little dated, the property had one of the most lovely Christmas displays we have seen in our travels in Vietnam. The hotel management were very attentive to us and did their best to ensure our stay was enjoyable. It’s situated right on the beach, which would be great in warmer weather. The town is about 15 mins drive away and cost about 100,000 dong one way.

The rooms were lovely, but the whole property needs a good water blast. Breakfast seemed to never be fresh and the blasting aircon was needed but surely there is an alternative to air blowing on your table. A basic place to stay with a decent pool for young kids - excellent service at the front desk and door. The massage and facial was terrible and the lady needed training, I could have got better in Hoi an on a side street. Whole thing just needs a \"face lift\".

Beds and linen were lovely. Cleaning staff in rooms did a terrific job. I came here to be in Vietnam and this property doesn’t offer that.
Big pool, well maintained. Everyone is making an effort but it’s a huge property and it lacks an atmosphere. It’s the little things. Like charging for pool toys, breakfast in a massive space with no view. It’s an isolated location and down the road is this amazing Anh Bang Beach with a vibe to draw from but we were constantly spoken to in English not even a Vietnamese Thankyou. It’s a hard property to spend time in after being in Ancient Town but if you want a ‘western’ style experience and a big pool and a really comfortable bed then it’s terrific.

We had an excellent stay at The Pearl Hoi An! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. To our surprise, we were even upgraded to a spacious beach view apartment, which made our stay even more memorable. The room was modern, clean, and beautifully designed, with everything we needed for a relaxing visit.

The facilities are top-notch, and the atmosphere is both peaceful and luxurious. We especially loved the attention to detail and the warm hospitality that made the whole experience feel so special.

We would absolutely recommend The Pearl Hoi An to anyone visiting the area and can’t wait to return!

The rooms were spotless, spacious, and very comfortable with good storage, a free weekly-replenished minibar, and British plug sockets with USB ports in convenient places. Beds were excellent for a good night’s sleep, and daily housekeeping was always to a high standard. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. I also really appreciated the complimentary laundry service – six items per room per day – which is something I’ve not come across before on a two-week stay and it made a big difference.

Transport was straightforward: Grab taxis were cheap and reliable (around £3 for a 6-seater to the old town), and the walk to An Bang beach with its restaurants and bars was easy. ATMs were everywhere, and with the right card (I used TSB and Monzo) there were no extra charges, which worked far better than bringing too much cash.

What was unique

The free daily laundry allowance was a real standout – it’s rare to find that in a hotel stay of this length and it added real convenience. Having British sockets already fitted was another unexpected bonus, removing the need for adapters. The combination of free minibar, high-quality room cleaning, and consistently comfortable beds made the whole experience very easy and stress-free.

An ok hotel. It could do with a refresh as my room had dirty marks across the walls and was I desperate need of some paint. The balcony railings were rusty and were too small to sit out on. The reception staff often struggle to communicate in English, meaning that things often needed to be explained over and over again. Mall doesn’t exist as it is numerous empty units. A bit hotel but it has no soul.

Very spacious and clean rooms (two bedroom family executive suite) with cleaners everyday along with 6 items of clothing available for washing free of charge every day.
The pool was warm and spacious.

The only downside was the bar which closed prior to the advertised 10pm on a number of occasions.

Would recommend to any family visiting Hoi An.

Very hard to converse with Customer Service, Google translate had to be used. room was cleaned / tidied daily ...cups and glasses were washed and left on sink ( no new ones given) breakfast buffet was a nightmare ..yes it was included in the price however at least 300 people each morning in a huge hall with limited air-conditioning was not very pleasant, not to mention hands touching food and putting things back. You were lucky to find a table...if you did.. you had to walkthe length of the hall to get to the one food area. We had a two bedroom apartment with a balcony ..however only one person could stand on the balcony at one time...a lot of vacant shops within the hotel made it look dated and rundown. Pool was nice but you could never get a sun lounge as there was not enough for the amount of people staying at the resort. The pool bar was badly managed and we waited 45 minutes for two cocktails ...after approaching the staff for our order ...we received a very substandard cocktail .. that you could not taste the alcohol ..not enjoyable. Would not recommend.. and wouldn't stay again... After ten days there Idefinitely would not consider this hotel 5 star as its rating suggests. I would not stay here again.

We booked this resort as a fancy treat during our backpacking trip, and it did not quite live up to expectations. The hotel is fine but a little run down. Many of the shops and restaurants on the property appeared to be permanently closed or never opened. Our room had a beautiful view of the beach. It was tidy, but not spotless, and the it looked a little worn. The hallways and elevators smelled.
Overall, it was a perfectly acceptable accommodation for a budget or mid-range traveler, but because we were looking for something special, we canceled and went elsewhere. The staff were very helpful and understanding.

This is a resort quality lodging that is right on the beach. It is vast complex the includes a movie they're. Rooms are spacious, clean, and well appointed. Stay includes a sizeable buffet breakfast that has Asian as well as western food. The pool is huge and by the beach. The private beach is never crowded with fairly calm waters. It is a luxury resort like feel at a budget friendly price perhaps due to booking through Expedia. Reception and check in was hassle free and was able to get room early. Room was spacious with a great view of the garden, pool, and the beach catching some nice sunrises. Their complimentary breakfast buffet had a variety of food items to satisfy anyone's palate. The place is clean and well maintained. Nothing negative worth mentioning. Riding into town is only a free shuttle away or through Grab for a more expedient offer

Our stay at The Pearl Hoi An was a wonderful time. We loved the breakfast buffet, it was always a great start to our day, with plenty of variety to enjoy. The location was excellent with a beautiful beach and a short shuttle ride to Hoi An. The service was exceptional, and the staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. The laundry service was very convenient for our long 19-night stay, and despite staying so long we never got bored. Every day was paradise. Thank you for everything, I would definitely love to come again some day!

The staff at this hotel were exceptionally helpful, both before during and after our visit. We were a large group of adults and children and were given rooms close together. The rooms were spacious and clean with everything we needed. Breakfast was a large array of goodies and the other meals we ate in the hotel were all of high quality.
The staff keep all public areas clean .and the reception staff are helpfu and friendly. They went above and beyond to arrange some complicated transport for our large group and when one of the children left a toy dog behind they went out of their way to find it and arranged for it to be returned.
Very much hope to return for another visit. No hesitation in recommending.

Not long after arrival, I walked around the complex and couldn’t figure out what was going on here. The lobby is beautiful, the restaurant and food are really good, the rooms are clean, modern and spacious. Yet, there’s abandoned shops, all through the complex. It turns out that covid decimated that side of it.

It’s a really cool place. My kids and I had a great stay. Throw a few dollars into a coffee or two in the shops that are open and encourage it to grow.

Absolutley fantastic stay for 21 nights 4 of us. We had a warm greeting on arrival and we were informed we had been upgraded to fabulous rooms. Staff were all fantastic and we felt so well looked after throughout our stay. We were given numerous complimentary items durig our stay. I must give a special thankyou to Mr Dung whom we felt made sure wehad a great stsy along with all the staff. We were also spoken to by James asking about our stay and gave us a farewell gift!! We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment with our families 6 and we all loved it. Resort pool was amazing and sensational views. External building Paint work is getting dated but otherwise an amazing stay. The room was clean and comfortable with a good bathroom and shower. The wifi worked well. The problem with this place is that it is enormous in size and the place is like a ghost town. The shops are all empty and there are areas completely deserted. It is not near any town or shops or alternative dining places within walking distance.
As you walk around it is a bit creepy and weird. We shortened our intended stay here as it didn't suit us.

The resort has the potential to be great, but it is huge and has hardly any guests in it - and the vast majority of the retail spaces are empty. This means it really lacks atmosphere.

The staff are lovely and accommodation is clean and neat. The spa is great and provides great valu for money.

We booked a deluxe room but had a poor view ,we asked for an upgrade and were shown two rooms at no extra charge. We chose a premier ocean view room.
Only good thing about this room was the view all amenities were better in deluxe room .
PRO’S and CON’S
Best thing about this place is the staff , everything was done with smiles and really looked after us ,they could not do enough for us when my wife’s suit case arrived damaged.

Tiny fridge no ice maker and didn’t get cold even though changed out 3 times but deluxe room had full size fridge freezer.
Outdoor lounge supplied in living room very uncomfortable better for a real couch as per deluxe room
No rain shower as per deluxe room just hand held not a lot of pressure and dies off after a few minutes
Pool area .
Pool lounges have no Foam Matt’s very hard on back and butt
Asked them why not supply them and have no answer
Pool towels are small ,old and very thin wornout ,need 2 each time .
Pool bar is great not a swim up but has food and drinks made and cocktails are nice
Only beer is available for 2 for one happy hour .
Beach
Beach was filthy with tons of sticks ,plastic and foam washed up all over it
No beach area set up at all by the hotel to relax on like other hotels have
Shops.
Shops are mostly all closed which is a shame there were so many places in the resort to shop before Covid hit but still a couple of small marts and a couple restaurants only.one restaurant

I really liked this property. I know there are lots of bad reviews on here but I don’t think it’s as bad as people are saying. Yes it has a lot of empty spaces but I already expected it by reading everyone’s reviews. The room we had was a sea view and it was nice and clean. The washrooms were nice and not smelly at all. I LOVED their Korean Sauna spa and they have a huge gym. Our room was very clean and most of the staff was really nice.

We ate at the Korean restaurant 2 nights and both times were really good. The owner/staff was very friendly as well.

The front desk team made it special for my mom’s bday and surprised her with cake. (Shout out to tram and nga and everyone else there)

The spa staff was always very helpful and kind. (I don’t know their names but they were honestly the sweetest)

The housekeeping staff was always cheerful and sweet.

The only thing I could think of is they need to train up their breakfast staff as they are often standing around talking, not friendly and not doing their jobs.

Also yes they don’t allow food but that’s only heavy smelling food. If you bring most foods it’s fine just not the super smelly stuff.
We ended up extending our stay for 1 extra night.

I would still recommend this place and also would come back.

I enjoyed a three night stay at Citadines Pearl Hotel. I chose it for the beach location and enjoyed my room with an ocean view. My room was clean, spacious and as described on the web site. I enjoyed the combination wood bathtub / shower in my bathtub.

The breakfast buffet had a large selection, I think the pastries could have been a bit fresher or higher quality. I also noted trash at the hotel’s section of the beach.

A great aspect of my stay was that the staff at the hotel were fantastic. They were friendly, knowledgeable and very eager to help me and ensure that I had a great stay. They provided suggestions for visiting and shopping in Hoi An and coordinated spa services for me.

The property is kind of off the beaten path from anything but it was a large complex and very self contained if you weren’t into exploring the actual city. There were a ton of amenities and this appeared to be a terrific hotel if you were traveling with children. It was not the vibe my trip was going for but it would be great for a family with young kids. The room was large and had a nice useable balcony. Very quiet facility and the breakfast was very diverse in its options and tasty. The beach area looked to not be super swimming friendly but we did visit while it was stormy out so that may have been why. Good price and the beds were comfy. Also the gym was incredibly well equipped. Good stay if you’re looking for a more all inclusive type feel with lots of options on site for things to do.

Nice stay but like ghost town

This is a massive resort and sadly was like a ghost town while we were there. The spa facility is amazing and reasonably priced. The pool is also large and nice to be around. However there was not many people staying for such a large resort, you can tell they are struggling to maintain the grounds. We ate dinner at the restaurant once and the only ones there. Reception staff were friendly but other staff not so much. Easy to get to Ancient Hoi An town. Door out to balcony could not be opened although I never asked either. They only issue one key, which was inconvenient. Buffet breakfast was ok.

Context of our review, we are full-time travellers, with 4 children under 6 years that stay in low budget hotels, Airbnb’s, all the way to 5 star.

Let’s start with saying, that this hotel experience to be honest was just weird and eerie.

Absolutely massive resort complex with retailers however all vacant and closed giving it an eerie feel.

The resort is right on the beach, which is amazing to be able to walk to straight from your room. The beach was nice and calm for swimming with kids and great for long walks into the sunset

The pool we always love a good pool was absolutely enormous, the downside. It always looked very cloudy and extremely hot so in 33° hot weather jumping into the pool felt like going from hot to hotter like a spa.

The resort would not allow food from outside, however hotel food was not great so that made it challenging for our family.

The breakfast is huge, but just horrible quality, the staff in the breakfast are also very cold feeling. There’s no warmth in engagement with them.

There’s a kids club, which wasn’t bad. There’s an outdoor play equipment also not bad.

Rooms have been recently renovated. We had glue seeping up from the wooden floors throughout our whole apartment onto our feet for the whole week which you can imagine we were sleeping with.

Housekeeping stuff on the other hand were, Ahn - she was fantastic.

Not sure we could recommend this hotel as there are too many other competitive hotels around

Stayed for 10 days and while there was a bit of a language barrier at times the staff were always friendly and helpful. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.
This is a family friendly resort with great facilities for both adults and kids.
