We loved our room “boat house room 1”, it felt comfy and tired in places but the view was exceptional. The staff were always helpful and a special mention to Somsak - thank you for carrying our bags up those stairs.

Both rooms were sloped (not level). The mountain has shifted over the last 40 years or so so the cabins have as well. Everything was clean and well maintained. The number of steps required to access the office, beach, bar and rooms is beyond the ability of anyone with a disability.

Beautiful, rustic, just what we wanted. Some might say wooden and worn. But we loved it, we booked the honeymoon suit, and I felt like we were on out own desert island staying in a tree house. Very authentic. Im glad we had the Honeymoon suit as many of the cabins we on a very steep hill. The boathouse and honeymoon suit are close to the beach. Very quiet and peaceful. Room was clean, food not great, I would avoid eating in there, the hotel nxt door, their food was much better. There was a lovely young man that carried our cases for us. I cant remember his name, hes was so kind and helped throughout our stay, very friendly.

Place is run down. 1/2 the dinning chairs are wobbly like to break. Tables missing boards. The honeymoon room has termites bug poop in our face all night. Staff said it was an existing problem. Road to resort is a goat path last mile. Food was good (over priced). Breakfast was fine schedule a 5 day left in 2. Nice honeymoon.

Remote, jungle by beach vibes. Location is great (if difficult to get to). Rooms acceptable for price (like the veranda with sun loungers). Restaurant is over priced and poor quality - breakfast not great.

The resort is located away from most tourist places and provides a relaxing safe place to stay at - or to take day-trips from. The personnel is friendly and helpful. The only minus would be that during the busy season the resort would need more people manning the restaurant and bar.

Very disappointed as was excited about trip
Hotel very shabby and not worth the money but it was new year so high prices
Honeymoon room lovely lay out but had to ask for towels cleaning etc
Lots of monkeys amusing but scarey in packs trying to open the bungalows
Monkey poo not gleaned from balcony for 4 days
Food not great and expensive as were drinks
Staff not well trained in service but felt sorry for them they seemed sad
Very quiet area great for total chill out
Dangerous mud road to get there washed away by rains with steep scary drop
Owner needs to keep it maintained , it’s a pity

Beach and staff are lovely. Resort is nicely located in a jungle setting. Room was a good size with a big sun deck with loungers. But its foundations had sunk so it was not level. The doors had become out of square and did not close easily or properly. Was very glad we had a villa near the beach. Only 45 stairs to go up and down. And a similar number up to the pool. Calf muscles got quite stiff.
Staff were lovely but very limited English. Breakfast surprisingly good. As was dinner. Small menu but well and tastily prepared and presented. And at very reasonable price.
Road in is a bit hairy. Narrow and rutted dirt track bulldozed out of a slippy hillside with drops down to the sea. Having travelled in Nepal we were ok with it. But another guest was sufficiently spooked to go back to the ferry wharf by longtail boat.
It is not a one night stopover place. Getting there takes time and effort. It was second day before we started to relax into the get up. Have breakfast. Sit on beach. Have a swim. Sit on the beach some more. Have lunch. Go back to villa for air conditioned rest in afternoon heat. Go up to pool for a swim at low tide. Back to each for a sunset cocktail - they did a good pinacolada -then leisurely dinner and bed. Next day rinse and repeat.
Some instructions from the resort as to how to get there would have helped. With advice from Dr Google we booked speedboat ferry from Phuket. Leaves at 9.00am. Got off boat at stop three Koh Jum wharf. Then taxi to resort.

This is a charming place to stay. If you want to unwind in a natural setting, away from the sterility of a hotel, this is it. If your idea of nightlife is to linger over a delicious dinner within sight and sound of the ocean, look no further. The staff are what make this place: you will come to regard them as friends. They will arrange whatever outdoor activity you seek. We had a private boat to swim and snorkel in the beautiful coves of Phi Phi Island. I’m am writing this with a heavy heart was I’m leaving, but I know I’ll be back. Meanwhile, your adventure awaits!

Very disappointed

The hotel grounds along with the swimming pool are very dirty.
There are a lot of intimidating wild monkeys running around the grounds and across the room roofs all day long from early morning until late at night making it impossible to get a good nights sleep.
If you have any difficulty climbing stairs this is not the place for you. There are over 100 steps from the top road to the restaurant and the reception at beach level.
The rooms require updating although the bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked well.
The hotel is in a beautiful setting but needs a lot of work to bring it back to its prime.

GORGEOUS LITTLE RETREAT

I was at this resort in 2019 and it was amazing - it's still fabulous but the property could do with some TLC (been closed for two years due to Covid) the rooms are gorgeous but make sure you get a room close to the beach as it's a very steep climb to the top. Great service, good food and the beach is beautiful. Views straight over to Phi Phi.

This is far from a 5 star hotel but it is just fabulous! Large rooms, great views and a beautiful position right on the beach. The breakfast wasn't great but the food at night was excellent and really cheap! We got moved to the boathouse which was definitely 5 star with the most incredible views out to Koh Phi Phi. Staff are helpful, friendly and lovely - a special mention for Pop who was brilliant. Just loved this island - far from the madding crowd and a truly relaxing experience. Not for anyone looking for entertainment, this is only for relaxing and enjoying the sound of the waves. The boat trip to Koh Phi Phi was perfect, our own long tail and we went wherever we wanted to. Taxi into the little village is cheap and worth a look round. The Thai cooking class looked fab but we didn't have time to go. The monkeys were a bonus, it was amazing seeing them, especially since they were free to roam around.

It is a nice property, though overpriced compared with the other places we stayed during our seven weeks in Thailand. We were disappointed that we paid for a deluxe ocean view room that did not in fact have an ocean view. The beach water is nice but rather murky and not good for snorkeling if that’s your thing.

Die Lage war perfekt. Direkt am Meer, der Sand war klar und es gab wenige Menschen. Fühlte sich fast an wie ein Hotel Privatstrand. Die Atmosphäre war ziemlich ruhig und entspannend. Man hatte definitiv Jungel und Paradis vibes. Jedoch kann ich nur 3 Sterne geben, da dass Resort ziemlich im nichts lag und die Strecke dorthin war ziemlich crazy und gefährlich… rechts der Jungel mit vielen kleinen Affen und links der Abhang ins Meer. Das Hotelgelände ist sehr steil und es gibt sehr viele Treppen. Für ältere Menschen definitiv nicht geeignet! Zudem sind die Taxis nicht inklusive, man muss für das Taxi 150 Baht pro Person zahlen um schon nur in die Dörfer zu gelangen. Also für hin und zurück demnach 300 Baht pro Person. Man kann jedoch auch ein Roller für 300Baht mieten. Das Personal kann nicht wirklich Englisch. Sie wirkten ziemlich demotiviert und waren unaufmerksam, viel am Handy.

Detta ställe r mycket prisvärt. Det ligger vid en ljuvlig strand. Frukost ingår. Det finns pool på området. Bra mat och mycket trevlig personal. Vi tog massage vid stranden. Det ligger ganska avsides men det finns andra restauranger och barer längs stranden.
Bungalowerna är utplacerade över hela området med stor höjdskillnad. Vi var två par och en av våra bubgalows låg mycket högt upp. Hyggligt ansträngande att gå upp dit…
Bungalowerna är fina men lite slitna.

L’endroit est paradisiaque, le personnel sympathique et prêt à aider.
Nous avons eu le bungalow numéro 29 qui dispose d’une vue magnifique sur la mer et très bien agencé. Même si le repas était un peu cher, il était très bon et copie. L’hôtel est superbe et calme, il est très reposant. Nous avons voyagé en couple et on conseille cet hôtel. Informations importantes, vous aurez besoin d’un Pickup pour venir à l’hôtel.

Et slidt resort. Det har bestemt været et skønt sted på et tidspunkt, men bærer meget præg af slitage. Vores bungalow havde gennemtæret trævægge på ydersiden, og gnister i stikkontakterne. Massagehuset ved siden af vores bungalow, var gennemrustet, og havde store huller i taget.

Det var ikke ting der gjorde noget negativt for vores ophold, men billederne på nettet svarer ikke helt overens med virkeligheden.
Vi boede der i 6 dage, og havde nogle dejlige dage, men restauranten haltede ikke meget styr på tingene, så vi valgte at spise andre steder de fleste dage. Maden på restauranten var udmærket, men ventetiden og manglen på overblik var til tider ret kritisabelt, og blev kommenteret af flere gæster.
Personalet var super søde og imødekommende, men det hele føles lidt som om at der mangler et løft, for at det svarer til prisen på stedet. Vi ved at der er mange ting man ikke kan forvente har samme standard som andre steder i verden, men her hænger pris og kvalitet ikke sammen.
Vi besøgte flere steder, også tæt på, hvor både pris og kvalitet var bedre.
Vi kommer gerne tilbage til området, men vælger nok et andet sted.
Det har stort potentiale, men kræver et løft.

Wir hatten einen Familienbungalow Sea View. Dieser war in zweiter Reihe am Strand und somit mussten wir nicht ständig die vielen steilen Treppen hoch und runter laufen. Zimmer waren gut ausgestattet und die Betten sehr bequem.
Wir waren über Weihnachten in dem Resort - Hochsaison. Beim Frühstück (welches überraschend doch inklusive war) war es oft voll und man musste mitunter auf einen Tisch warten. Aber ich denke das ist zu anderen Reisezeiten nicht der Fall. Auch gab es. Ich genügend Liegen für alle Gäste aber irgendwie hat es sich doch immer ergeben dass man am Ende des Tages ein bequemes Plätzchen ergattern konnte.
Die Preise im Restaurant sind im Vergleich zum Restaurant nebenan eher hochpreisig daher haben wir nur 1x dort zu Abend gegessen. Das Essen war in Ordnung.
Das Hotel ist über die Straße über einen unbefestigten, sehr holperigen Weg zu erreichen- wir sind zu Fuß in den Ort gelaufen und haben uns dort einen Roller ausgeliehen. Bei trockener Straße kam man mit dem Roller auch bis zum Hotel fahren.
Alles in allem ein schöner und sehr entschleunigender Aufenthalt. Das Meerwasser ist aufgrund der Nähe zum Festland und Flussmündung etwas trüber als z.B. auf Koh Lanta aber dennoch erfrischend.

I would never recommend anyone to book this hotel!
Even if the view is amazing and really easy access to the beach.
1. I’ve never been this disappointed over the none existing service, we tried to eat at the hotel restaurant a multiple times but no one wanted to take our order so after a while we ended up leaving… the problem the staff was just to lazy to take our orders because we were the only one there…
2. We found out that the restaurant at our hotel was so much more expensive than the two other hotels restaurants. And surprisingly they had excellent service.
3. We were so disappointed that we left 2 days before checkout, and when we checked out the staff tried to scam us. They said we had to pay 8000 tbh for our bills in the restaurant and when we asked to see the bills we calculated we only ate for 3800 tbh.
4. It is so remote located it was hard to see the rest of the island.

Magisk plats om man verkligen vill ta det lugnt. Apor som väcker en på morgonen och übertrevlig personal gör upplevelsen total. Härlig strand vid högvatten men inte lika kul sen em. Många trappor som kan vara jobbiga, men inga problem för oss.

Amazing jungle resort to relax by the beach. It is a very charismatic place to stay with lovely and helpful staff which organised our transfer to Krabi. Unfortunately, a tree collapsed which fell on the powerlines. So there was no Power on our last night. But I guess that could happen anywhere in Thailand. Absolutely recommend this place.

Avslappende, rent og personlig service

Jeg hadde to deilige avslappende dager her. Hytta var helt strøken. Rent rom og freshed bad. Betjening er veldig vennlige og er opptatt av at alle skal føle seg sett og de gjør alt de kan for at man skal få en hyggelig opplevelse. Spiste middag her en kveld og maten var nydelig. Dersom man er interessert i en roligere Thailand opplevelse anbefales Koh Jum, og dersom du ønsker er hotell med litt høyere standard med personlig service anbefales Ocean Beach resort på det varmeste.

Fin,ren pool. Dålig,ganska dyr mat. ( Beställ inte Carbonara!! )Har man någon typ av ledvärk ska man inte bo här. Extremt mycket trappor. Ca 150 trappsteg i olika höjder från rummet till stranden. Det går inte att bada i havet vid ebb. Mycket lera och sten. Men åker man en bit söder ut är stranden fin.Det finns varken butik eller bankomat i närheten så man får snällt köpa vatten i baren för överpris. Tror inte det finns någon bankomat på hela ön.Personalen är trevlig och hjälpsam men pratar dålig eng. Väldigt lugnt ställe.

Hotellet ligger smukt på en skrænt direkte ud til pragtfuld badestrand. Men et øde område, hvilket bestemt har sin charme. Maden er langt under det forventelige efter thailandske forhold.

Sehr schöne Anlage am Hang gelegen mit teilweise super Ausblick, das einzige was uns gefehlt hat, war eine Moskitonetz. Sonst Lage gut, Strand gut, Küche gut und preiswert. Es besteht auch in der direkten Strand-Nachbarschaft die Möglichkeit gut zu essen, auch gegrillten ganzen Fisch. Würden immer wieder dieses Resort buchen.
