The hotel is an old manor villa surrounded by a lovely garden with large, old trees and a nice swimming pool—really cosy. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful, and it’s also clear that many guests are regulars.
Be aware that some of the rooms may feel a bit small, but they are clean and functional. The villa is centrally located and feels like an oasis in the middle of the city’s traffic, and there is surprisingly little noise from the street. The beautiful villa is maintained on an ongoing basis, and there may be some noise from the craftsmen.
The breakfast served is typically Filipino; personally, I missed having the option of oatmeal or cornflakes. There is Wi Fi throughout the property, though the quality can vary somewhat, but there are several networks to choose from—if one is down, you can simply move a bit around the garden and find one that works.

The Place is absolutely Worth recomendming.

This location offers an ideal accommodation experience in Davao City. The staff, including Rey and Christian, consistently demonstrated exceptional friendliness and provided invaluable assistance in navigating Davao City. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a complimentary Durian fruit, a thoughtful gesture. The coffee provided was also of excellent quality. We anticipate a return visit to this establishment.

The resort has a nice swimming pool and a good location. It is within walking distance to a 7-Eleven, several restaurants, laundry services, and a mall that will be opening soon, which is very convenient.
However, the customer service needs improvement. The male staff were polite and greeted us every time, but the female staff often looked unhappy and did not greet us. The property also needs better maintenance, as we noticed mold and stains.
Breakfast options were very limited—only rice, fried eggs, and alternating sausages, hotdogs, or corned beef, along with coffee and chocolate. There were no other choices available.

Super nice place, a bit disappointed about our room, the air conditioning is not good , we complained and the staff just offered a fun and told us just to wait to get cold, until our infant sleep already and the room still not cold enough , we still wait but it didnt happen as expected, the room is not cleaned well under the table, and theres water coming out from the aircon, the place is beautiful , hopefully on our next stay with them it will not be like that

The hotel is older style but my room looked newly renovated (Room 2). It was clean, convenient and quiet. It shows that management has high standards as the workmanship and state of maintenance were very high.

I really loved the pool early in the morning and in the evening after a hot day in the city.

My stay was pleasant, employees friendly, good location, the pool, nice and clean. As far as up grades or room for improvement to make peoples stay more convenient or pleasurable.

If you hade a laundry service with a wash and fold, that would be amazing, plus it would generate more revenue if people didn't have to go out and get it done, having it done on site would be very convenient.

The continental breakfast was ok, but there can be room for improvement, by expending the menu just a slight bit.

Having fresh fruit available would be a major improvement since the Philippines has an abundance of fruit available.

As a guest, I would pay a little extra if you had a choice of both a Philippine breakfast or a continental and include a choice of French Toast, or Pancakes as well as fruit etc... Mangoes, Pineapple, Watermelon etc

These are really minor changes and could improve the experience. You could also increase revenue by having a Vending machine in the Lobby going up stairs offering sodas, snacks like cookies, crackers, chips etc...

If one want's a late night snack, we have to leave the premises and buy on the street, which is ok, but less convenient, why not make everything more convenient for the guest, so if it's raining, they don't even have to leave the premises?

I loved the fact that the guest have use of the kitchen, great job, that was a reason why we chose this place.

All you need now is a location one can barbecue or grill etc. Food for thought!

My recent stay at Domicilio Lorenzo left me with mixed feelings. While the property has potential, some shortcomings made my experience far from perfect.

Pros:

Quiet and Relaxing Atmosphere: The property itself is peaceful, with a pleasant ambiance that could make for a comfortable stay if properly maintained. The pool is perfect.

Location: Situated in a very noisy and c area, it’s accessible to restaurants and other amenities.

Cons:

1. Very noisy area
One of the most disappointing aspects of my stay was the noise.

2. Breakfast/Coffee Issues
The included breakfasts were ok for locals. Not up to standards for foreigners. The coffee was a mix of instant and tea and sometimes hot chocolate.

3. Late Checkout.
They charge for a late check out per hour.

Summary of My Stay at Domicilio Lorenzo

Domicilio Lorenzo has potential, offering a peaceful atmosphere and a great pool. Its location is convenient, but the surrounding area is quite noisy, which affected the overall experience.

While the included breakfast might suit local tastes, it fell short for international guests, with inconsistent coffee options ranging from instant coffee to tea or even hot chocolate. Additionally, the hotel charges an hourly fee for late checkouts, which felt inconvenient.

Beautiful garden (some mosquitoes). Nice decoration with many works of art. Bathroom neat and clean. A few broken things in the bathroom. The room and the bathroom both have an opening window with mosquito net. Air conditioning noisy uncomfortable but this place gets cool in the night. Street noise during the day, strongly decreases during the night. Breakfast is coffee or milk + egg + bread or rice, simple but good.

The facilities were very nice and clean. It was nice to be able to cook meals in their kitchen. The breakfasts were basic Filipino foods to which we added soy sauce and a few things. The pool was lovely and deep. It is located near a main road so public transport wasn't a problem.
We stayed here before Covid in 2019 and were just as happy this time. Our room was very nice with great air-conditioning and may have been recently updated.

A bad taste in my mouth

I stayed for 2 nights, and booked 3 rooms....my 2 dependent sons had their own rooms....no complaints of the rooms....nothing fancy, just plain ol' jane rooms, with no phones in the rooms....the pool is a nice touch....we needed to check out of one room a couple hours later, because our flights were in the afternoon....and we had no where to leave our luggage....the hotel charged us extra 600 php....after checking out....the hotel noticed on of the face cloth had a stain on it from an ink pen....they wanted me to pay and extra 500 php to have it cleaned?....I don't agree with is extra charges....the face cloth is only worth maybe 50 php, if it is brand new....it was very well used face cloth, and it had made a lot of php before we accidentally stained it....the hotel made a lot of monies from our 2 night stay with 3 separate hotel rooms, that we paid in full....they did not need to try and nickel and dime us out of more unnecessary monies for a rag....this left a bad taste in my mouth, and I do not wish to return to this hotel because of their greed....I don't think we will return to this hotel next time we travel to davao city?

Better bring your ear plugs! Great location - across from major eateries. Very attentive staff. Clean rooms. But ... 1. AC was VERY noisy. 2. Lots of stray cats in heat = screaming all nights = unable to sleep. 3. Located next to a major thoroughfare = sirens, car noise, etc. = can't sleep. 4. Do not provide drinking water in the room. The water dispenser in the common are was broken. 5. Clean bed linens but no blanket. WTH? It seems like they have different \"levels\" of rooms ... so maybe other rooms are better (probably reserved for the locals). Bottom line: OK if you are on the budget. Otherwise, pay more and stay in a full-service hotel.

The hotel is extremely peaceful. The pool is a great size, the water is extremely clean and the water is a great temperature. There are no stupid rules here. We arrived early and we were allowed to go to the room early. we checked out at 12.0pm but were allowed to stay and use the pool until 5.0pm with the use of towels. You can order food and eat by the pool. Overall a great atmosphere and very accommodating hotel.
