The staff and breakfast were both very good, and the bathroom with the large tub was great, but the reason for the low score is that the hotel is right in front of bars and clubs which play loud music until the wee hours, so not a place to book if you would like to sleep.

깨끗하고 친절하고 다 좋았습니다. 그러나 하얀 일회용 슬리퍼랑 실내 바닥이 같은 재질이라 물방울 조금이라도 있으면 완전 미끄러집니다. 4일 있는 동안 3번정도 세면대에 물때문에 넘어질 위기를 많이 겪고 마지막 체크 아웃라는데 새벽에 일어나 스타일리쉬에거 흘러 나온 물이 잠결에 안보여 완전 꺽어질 정도로 미끄러졌습니다.

다리도 완전히 꺾이고 뼈 안다칠라 그러다 엉덩방아를 심하게 찧어습니다. 급하게 씻고 나오느라 당시는 몰랐는데 시간이 지나면서 달걀 만하던게 복숭아 만한 혹이 엉덩이와 사타구니사이에 있어 앉지도 못하고 너무 힘이듭니다. 오늘 일어난 일이라 지금도 의자에 안질 못합니다.

나오면서 다른말 안하고 다른 손님들 위해 바닥이나 슬리퍼나 둘중 하나는 꼭 바꾸시라 의견드렸습니다.
뇌진탕 걸리기 딱입니다. 정말 위험합니다. 다만 스텝들 친절했고 호텔은 참 깨끗했습니다.

This small boutique hotel was a pleasant surprise. I gave it a 5-star rating on every aspect and need to emphasize how helpful the front desk staff were for us….. foreigners with no Korean language ability. When I return to Daegu one day, I will most definitely stay at Rivertain Hotel again.

Small boutique hotel, perfect location

Reserved the three twin beds - room in April 2025 - It's in the heart of downtown Daegu steps away from the jewelry section of town. Lots of places to shop, eat, and catch transit walking out the front entrance of the hotel. The staff are friendly, speaks English, and very helpful. The lobby is small and basic. Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast buffet which had a wide array of both Korean and Continental food and beverage options - impressive. The room is small, especially with three large suitcases to accommodate, however we made the most of it by lining up the suitcase on top of tables and chairs. Room is clean. Wet room spacious with bidet toilet. Vanity and sink were outside the wet room - full size shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, and hand wash. Complimentary water and instant coffee and tea with electric hot water pot. Beds were comfortable. Daily room service available upon request. Temperature of the room was hot. AC could not be turned on during the cold weather. Windows could not be opened. We turned the heater off, and the staff provided a portable fan which made our stay more pleasant and comfortable.

This is a nice clean no-frills hotel within shopping and dining locations. Exceptional location within walking distance to Daegu Station. Breakfast was very good. The beds were comfy and had clean linens The only thing was there was no fridge and complimentary water bottles. The clothing UV sterilizer was a plus. Will come back.

Pleasant last minute hotel stay

Had to make a last minute hotel switch because the previous hotel was bad. Rivertain blew me away with their quality for the price. Enjoyed the fresh fruit and decent eggs for breakfast, appreciated the clean main room aesthetic, and the front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. For any return trips, I am very likely to stay here again.

It was a great place to stay. It is located at the center of the city and closed to public transportation stations. Therefore, it was so convenient to travel around. Nearby there are lots of good restaurants to eat and shop. Loved their breakfast. It was delicious. Gave everything 5 of 5 except one because one of the personnel doesn’t seem to have the same attitude like the others. Her face was like emotionless and her attitude was like she didn’t want to be there or something. Other than her, others were friendly and kind. Will definitely revisit the place and recommend to others.

Everything was amazing except the front desk staff responsible for checking people in. In English and Korean, she had an attitude that I have rarely experienced from a Korean hotel staff. Seems like she may need a break. Might be worthwhile to reassess her total hours to ensure the employee can welcome guests with a warm smile and attitude. Other areas were great. My experience at the restaurant during breakfast was amazing - wonderful kitchen and table staff. Rooms were wonderful as well

Fantastic room (vip A) and great staff. The breakfast and coffee is very good. It is in an area of town where there were mostly young couples on the street. The surrounding resturants are open late so just be aware that there may be some noise from the street late into the night.

We were very pleased with literally everything! Location was great. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was always fresh and plentiful. The room was amazing and comfortable. On check out the front desk called for a cab, while waiting, the cleaning attendant found that I left my phone in the room. She called down to the front desk and brought it to us in the lobby. I can’t say enough good things.

Overall, it was a good stay. Spent one night on my transit to another city. Booked this hotel since it wasn't too far from the KTX train station (10 min. by taxi) and the airport (20 min. by taxi). Lots of eating options around the hotel. The hotel was very quiet although it was on a street where a lot of 20 somethings were eating out and dating. There was a faint old smoking smell in the hallway and the building, although updated, is probably quite old. The breakfast was included in my package; it was decent with a variety of fruits, veggies, hot food, and pastries available. Overall, good value.

Perfect weekend in Daegu

This hotel was our oasis in a very busy Daegu weekend. Our room was sparkling clean, full of nice features like clothes steamer and coffee corner, and an incredible shower. The breakfast buffet was huge! And lastly, the staff were so friendly and helpful with our many questions and requests for taxis. We are very grateful to them for making our visit to Daegu so perfect. Should also mention the location is great for coffee houses, restaurants, and 7-11. We’d definitely come back!

When booking it was not evidently clear what the room was like. When we got there we found a nice dized room with 1 very narrow re tangular window that made the room seem claustophobic and dungeon-like. We approached the reception who managed to find us a room with 2 windows and 2 exits to an outside deck. It was, of course, more expensive but we took it and were very happy.

I liked the location and the walkability of the area to interesting places. Two things I didn't like was that the room was hot and the windows were very very difficult to open because they seemed to be some sort of strong springs attaching them to the frames. Secondly I'd like there to be English explanations posted for using the equipment (e.g. a washing machine) in the room. Other than that all was great. I especially liked the included breakfast.

Pros: The breakfast was amazing! It had tons of variety of Western & Korean food for my son that is a picky eater. There was machine to refresh hang & steam our clothes in the room. There was also lots of space to hang our clothes. Shopping is very close in walking distance.
All the staff spoke English well & they always helped me call a taxi. Cons: I wish they put my name on my luggage when I left it behind their desk after I checked out & went shopping.

Such a nice and beautiful hotel. Everything was new (including the elevator) and the room was very spacious. The room even had a clothing steamer that looked like a refrigerator in the room, a totally unnecessary but really impressive bonus. Breakfast was awesome, tons of choices between Korean and Western food. And free easy parking, too! We came as an overnight stopover point on a road trip, but we might make the detour to stay here longer next time.

Could have been excellent except....

We are a French-American couple traveling with our adult daughters and S Korean son-in-law. We were in Daegu in Jan 2019 for their Korean wedding. Bkfst had decent choices.
Hotel is new, which is obvious. The bathroom is beautiful and spacious, though it lacks proper lighting for make up. The tub was gorgeous but no one had time to take a bath. We were glad to find \"normal sized\" bath towels as often in Korea they are only hand towels.
The room is tight (we had 3 twins) with almost no room for suitcases. We literally had to step over them to get to and from the bathroom or the beds.
There is plenty of space on the walls for hooks which would be useful for coats, sad they don't have this.
The closet-steamer was interesting but no instructions in English. We did need to steam my husbands suit so I pushed buttons until I made a good guess and it worked! Great concept but takes a lot of space.
Despite the lack of space, we liked how new and modern this place was until my daughter woke up with bed bug bites and we pulled off the comforter to see and catch several of them!! I literally took a live one down to the front desk (when I opened my tissue it jumped right onto her desk!). So this was a major disappointment but I will say that within 10 min (at 10 PM) someone was in our room changing all the sheets. Unfortunately, the bugs got into her clothes so she kept getting bit after leaving. :(
I was surprised a manager did not talk to us about this or offer any apology.

The staff was extremely nice, polite and helpful. The breakfast was very good and had a wide selection of food, both Korean and western choices. The room was very modern, and the LG Styler was very helpful for drying hand-washed clothes. And the whole hotel, both the room and the common spaces, was spotlessly clean. And finally, the location was convenient to dinning, shopping and public transportation.

My pick for the Daegu area. Visited more than 5 times already. Would recommend but this time check in progress had a hick up because I was asked to pay extra $40 because our party had a 3 people but I booked 3 people room and we always had a 3 peeps previously. 아주 깨끗하고 룸 상태도 좋고 주차도 편하고 룸도 욕조도 넓어서 좋았습니다. 시내 안에 있어서 이동도편하구요. 침구 배게도 4개라 더 편하구요.
다만 시내라 밤까지 음악과 고성 소리가 들리긴 힙니다. 창문을 이중으로 닫으면 안 들려요.
조식도 딱 먹을만한 메뉴들이라 왜 만족도 좋은지 알겠더라구요.

客室はゆったりとして過ごしやすく、室内に設置されたスタイラーも便利に利用しました。ホテル内にあるとされたランドリー施設は今は使っておらず、コインランドリー利用を勧められました。すぐ近くに清潔な24時間コインランドリーがあり、不自由ありませんでした。噂どおり朝食バイキングがよかったです。スタッフはみなさんとても人当たりがよくて親切です。快適な宿泊でした。
