Very nice place. Well located. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were nice and clean. I definitely will stay here again. Good restaurant. We didn’t use the amenities because we spent most of our time at the Irtra parks which are just 8 minutes away.

I have stayed at this hotel off and on for 40 years, no major changes in all this time. The staff are very courteous, food is good not spectacular, pool is nice, rooms are a decent size. Beds are hard. There is wifi, hot water and a tv.

El hotel es basico, pero suficiente para solo pasar la noche. El staff muy servicial, el restaurante basico tambien. Si usted tiene sueño ligero, pida cuartos del fondo, pues el hotel esta ubicado a la orilla de una carretera con gran trafico de equipo pesado las 24 horas y eso hace ruido.
El restaurante esta bien, sin ser nada especial.
Otra ventaja del Hotel es que esta a 10 min (sin trafico) de los parques Irtra y de restaurantes y supermercados.
El hotel le puede alquilar toallas para ir a Xocomil a un precio de 10 quetzales, regresandole 5 quetzales al devolverla.
El restaurante esta bien, sin ser nada especial.

Almost perfect, bed comfortable, almost all food at restaurant was good(didnt like burger) pool is nice but waaaay too crowded on weekend as its open to non guest and private pool is not guest only but only avaiable to rent...silly...if youre going to open main to pool to public then other pool should be guest only unless its rented...having it sit there closed is just ...:(

Room for improvement
The location is super convenient and directly off main road making it very easy on a road trip. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The onsite restaurant is delicious and everything was great other although the burger was a little soft and strange...everything else was amazing and i ate there many times as i extended my stay multiple times. The grounds are also really beautiful, lush and green. They have a pool but its open to public for a fee on weekends so its too crowded to use as a guest wanting to remain safe during pandemic. Its unfortunate that the other private pool isnt for guest use only on the weekends when its not being rented out. That would have been nice as i was only able to use pool late at night one time during a long stay. The beds are comfortable and room is quiet of in the back in the roman rooms...as i mentioned before i extended my stay twice, i was able to rebook no problem both times through the hotels app..however...even though my 2nd booking was confirmed i did have to move rooms the 2nd time to a room toward the front, i was bummed :(...went from the quiet king room i had booked and for sane price was put in a loud rooom with 2 dbl beds for same price and as it was last room at that point i was given no other options even though the app let me reserve it..overall id give it a 3.5

The stay was alright. The place was ok for the price. The only things were thin walls between bathrooms and no hairdryer. We would stay there again.
What we would recommend is that the hotel invests in a light up sign outside. Since at night you can easily miss it if you drive fast, too dark.

Great place to stay for business trips
They need to keep the noise down early in the morning, we were working until late, and at 7 am they started cutting trees and using motor the noise was unbearable, why not at 9 am?

This hotel was fine. The room was very adequate for its pricepoint. It was clean and had a decent bathroom. The room was a little dark as lighting was dim at night. Air conditioning present but not used, room had an overhead fan as well. Grounds are lovely and has a nice pool. Other reviews said pools but one is a private pool. A few lounge chairs. Office staff helpful. Our poor Spanish got us by. We would stay here again if in Rehu. No Wifi in room but free in outdoor lobby.

Our stay in Hotel La Colonia was pleasant. The pool area was nice, and the restaurant served delicious food. The rooms did have air conditioning which was nice, but there were small things here and there around the hotel that could have easily been improved or fixed. For example, our bathroom had 3 lightbulbs above the mirror, the middle of which was shattered. An easy fix, yet one that went without. The shower's faucet handles keep coming away from the wall and the sink was clogged up with cigarette butts from previous guests. The restaurant was a bit expensive, but we appreciated the security and the amenities such as the pool and A/C.

El hotel está bien pero si necesitan mejorar la limpieza en el baño encontré más de 6 cabellos en las esquinas y entre la tapa del inodoro, al día siguiente el encargado tomó represalia en mi contra y dijo que había manchado una toalla blanca como con chinola para cobrarme la toalla, cuando le hice ver que por qué no reviso la otra habitación que alquile, creo que se arrepintió de su mal actuar y me dijo que no era nada (mal intencionado), si uno está pagando lo mínimo es que esté bien limpio

El costo es algo elevado para el servicio que prestan, mi check in era a las 3 y me dieron la habitación tipo 4 casi, adicional la habitación tiene una puerta compartida con otra habitación, que se siente bastante vulnerable a abrirse, en la noche se escuchó que se intentó abrir varias veces del otro lado y la verdad genera bastante desconfianza
