Nice hidden gem. The room space is nice! We reserved the largest room the facility offers for a family of 4 and it was great! The kitchenette was useful and living space area was nice and open. Staff are very friendly and professional. There is no in room service and only offer continental breakfast (muffins, bagels, toast, oatmeal, Greek yogurt, cereal, orange juice and coffee).
I would have rate it a 5 however, the parking situation is limited. We purchased the space within their parking garage. However, came one day to a garage that had no slots. It appears guests were allowing others who weren't authorized parking in there impacting paying guests. There is no tracking system validating who has paid for a slot and that truly needs to be addressed.
Air conditioning was nice and cool!

Everything! It was as expected. I love the theme of art. And the beautiful works of the artists.
The lobby was fun, yet relaxing. The front of house staff was gracious and very personable. The room was a a spacious space to relax. Nice high ceilings, comfortable bed, etc. just what I needed. For a short comfortable stay. A nice quaint hotel. Lots of restaurants and dining within walking distance.

The staff was friendly.
There may be some larger than standard size rooms available if they're needed.
There is something like a complimentary, continental breakfast. I liked the granola.
There is artwork around the building on the first floor.
If a person books here there is street parking and a garage area to keep your car.
The garage parking is $25 for one night. We only stayed one night so the $25 may include additional nights.
I would recommend this hotel unless a person is on a tight budget.

We checked in late around 9:30 after a long trip. There was blood stains on our bedding and hair in the shower. After asking for a new blanket or room we were told it was not possible unless manager was present. The receptionist reluctantly gave us a blanket from an empty room after we suggested that option. There was excessive noise inside the hotel that made it difficult to sleep. We were woken by a very loud cleaning crew in the room next to ours at 8:30 am. We were still trying to sleep after all the noise the night before. They were just banging the vacuum against the wall and talking loudly. The morning receptionist the next day was very friendly and the free breakfast was nice. The lounge room next to reception was nice too. Maybe we caught them on a bad day. Unless it was free, I would not stay there again.

This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

The rooms have no functioning bathroom vent fans at all. After a rushed shower, the room quickly filled with thick, musty steam, which saturated the rest of the suite.

On top of that, the wall units had horrifically dirty filters, which had clearly never been cleaned. The air felt stale & unclean to the point that it was genuinely difficult to breathe.

The front desk interaction was completely unprofessional. Instead of calmly resolving things when inquiring about bathroom ventilation, it escalated to the point of threats towards me.

At one point I filmed the manager yelling at the staff member over the phone to “shut up!”, “be quiet!” & “stop talking now, you’re escalating it!” while the situation was unfolding, which says a lot about how things were being handled internally. I was then given a fan by the manager as a “solution.”

Additionally, there were issues at check-in with deposit requirements that were not clearly disclosed during booking. That delayed me getting into my room until very late & added a lot of unnecessary stress.

What makes this worse is that after everything, including documentation & follow-up, management has refused to take any accountability & is relying only on their own internal reports.

This wasn’t just a minor inconvenience. It was a combination of poor room conditions, unclean air & completely mishandled customer service.

We booked one of the larger rooms and it was nicely appointed with a coffee maker and a full kitchen! Very comfy bed and pillows, everything sparkling clean.
Small but convenient parking garage for which you have to call in advance and reserve a spot. A very basic continental breakfast was just meh, served in the gallery lobby with nice artwork. Staff is superb! And the hotel is mere 1-2 blocks from many restaurants. This place is great and a good bargain!

Clean — cozy bed — huge 700+ feet apartment with full (stocked) kitchen and living room. If you’re going out it’s nice, because every other room was 20 year olds smoking, drinking, listening to loud music and stomping until 3am. There is a hip hop club across the street / west of building. Loud as hell bass too. CLEAN building and nice bed, awful (2/100 rated YUKA App) soaps and shampoos. Don’t use it. But again, if you’re going downtown (out late) and don’t mind stale bagels and cheap Breakfest stuff it’s legit for the price. Huge space (cityscape room) ALSO we had to park our $250k car on the street full of homeless next to the place. They have 15 gated spaced, for 30 rooms (missed that memo)

We had a very nice stay at Art House Hotel and Suites in Santa Rosa. We selected Art House because it was dog-friendly and had great reviews.

The hotel looks very basic from the outside and lobby. Check-in was fast, and the person who helped us was very nice. Our room and bathroom were very clean and in order. The sheets and pillows were excellent. We had a small balcony with two French doors, which was nice.

Breakfast was included and consisted of bagels, English muffins, cereal, fruit, coffee, and juice.

Our only complaint was the water pressure in the shower, which was not very good but definitely was not too much of a problem.

We would definitely stay here again.

This is a great spot with LOTS of space in the room. It literally felt like our own apartment. It was listed as a studio but this could easily be considered as a LARGE one bedroom in SF. TONS of pillows and extra blankets. The ceilings are tall which makes the space feel even larger.

I appreciated that there was a good set of dishes so we didn’t need to tap into our camping kit. We loved that it was within walking distance of food, drinks, and entertainment.

Off the bat, it appeared very clean however, cleanliness could be improved upon. We found a few surprises in the kitchen but it helped to have dish soap, sponge and paper towels (and our camping kit was helpful in this instance). I’d suggest washing dishes and wiping down all the kitchen surfaces before use.

Other than that, we had a great time and appreciated the 12pm checkout.

We have been staying here on business for the past 6 weeks. After staying at a few of the more well known places we stumbled upon “The Art House Hotel”. We considered it our home away from home. Nice sizable rooms and clean with hardwood floors. I can’t say enough nice things about everyone that works and supports the Art House as they are very hospitable and professional. So if you are in Santa Rosa and want a place to chill with good coffe I highly recommend this place.
