We stayed at Cinnabear for a night. Convenient and easy access to restaurants. Breakfast was great. The only problem was that wifi was not available or was out of range for the rooms away from the reception building.

My family and I had a great time. The breakfast was really good and made starting our day easy. The property was clean and well-maintained. The washer/dryer was smaller but worked great. The loft was safe for the kids and they loved it. The jacuzzi was clean and hot, although the jets needed time in-between cycles, but a great way to end a day of activities. I would stay again and recommend.

I stayed one night at the single room, it was a last minute booking so I didn’t do much research.
Super old room, toilet need to flush twice to work, no air conditioning, shower door didn’t shut.
The building looks cute outside and the reception area looks nice, that’s about it.
Everything is old, the wall is thin, you can hear your neighbors walking or turning on the water, they provide free ear plugs.
Room has microwave and a small fridge.
Free breakfast was ok, hot tub is a joke, no body using it.

I don't understand why everyone says the staff is friendly. If you smile at them or say hi, they respond with a blank blinking stare. They acted like serving us was a huge inconvenience. It seemed like the town was under construction and most everything we wanted to do was closed. The room was not spacious at all, it seemed very small. The walls were dated with peeling paint. The best part was the proximity to the amazing bakery. The beds were also pretty comfy.

It was okay. Generally clean. One of our faucet handles was missing a part to hold the handle on, but functional. Older place. Small older toilet bowls. Hot breakfast offered scrambled sausage eggs, cheese quesadillas, French toast, and soft hash browns. Some cold cereal, canned fruit salad, and instant oatmeal available, with coffee, OJ, and milk. Not really gluten free and/or dairy free friendly. Very small serving room with large dining area. Beds were okay. Not a lot of walking space in the room. We had 2 queen beds. If you're a big and tall person will be very cozy.

I was in mammoth for 2 nights and I stayed in room 12 on the second floor. it was ok, but I cannot recommend it to anyone. One of the towel in the bathroom has a big black stain, obviously not clean. Sheets and bedding obviously look used. There were few ants on bed on day 1. For the price that they charge you, you can definitely find a better place. Breakfast that they call it buffet was not good at all. Eggs and sausage seemed to be warmed up from previous day or days. On second day, I notice they are serving potatoes and scrambled eggs, abd the day before they had these seperate , and I could see they chopped all the potatoes and mixed them with scrambled eggs. So they didn't make it from scratch. I cook every day, abd I eat everything fresh, so I can easily tell the meal made from scratch or not.i only give them 1 star for having parking space in front of the buildings.

They’ve redone the economy rooms since the last time I was there, and they’re much better! Wish the breakfast was offered until checkout, and the room was warm so they might want in room AC units, but otherwise it’s a cute charming place to stay in the middle of town.

The property is certainly mature! It been sometime since any updates were made. Initially, with a 5PM check-in, it was a bit noisy since the place is right on a fairly busy street and our room was right next to the actively used hot tub. There also seems to have been some maintenance or construction occurring above us even after 6 PM.

Things did quiet down though and we had a restful night in comfortable beds. Breakfast in the morning was not elaborate but more than adequate. Reception and breakfast staff was cordial and helpful.

First impression of the building is poor as the steps and second floor decking is not in the best shape. The mattresses were okay and the room was clean. The breakfast area is very small and could only fit two people at a time to get food and not much seating is available. The food was good, though! The hot tub is in a tight outdoor space and is very small.

The inn has 3 buildings. 2 look to be newer or recently remodeled. The 3rd building is very, very old. The stairs are worn badly and in poor shape. My room was really clean but old. The heater in the wall didn’t work so they provided a small plug in type heater. There had been some drywall repairs by the heater that had not been painted after the repairs, there had been new baseboards installed but the wall above the baseboards had not been painted to
Match the walls. The window blinds had been previously broken and never replaced. I can’t speak about how the newer building compare.

Breakfast was delicious! That was our favorite part about staying there. We did have a few issues with the room we had originally booked - including no working mini fridge/freezer, no working toaster oven, a heater/fireplace that went out in the middle of the night (with the lows in the mid 20s), and the wifi never reached our room. We did ask the next day to be moved rooms, and luckily they had one available for us, which was very nice. Would stay again because the breakfast potatoes are out of this world.

The condition of the room #19 was extremely out of date and only had on small sofa that had hard cushions and one chair. The outdoor furniture that was listed as an amenity had a broken plastic chair on the deck. However there were picnic tables out in the open yard that would be fun for people. The shower was something that looked like it was from Star Treck where Scottie was “beamed up” but was clean. We did not try the breakfast buffet. The bed was comfortable and linens nice and clean. We probably would not stay here again. There appears to be more up to date places in the area to stay.

Other than my shower dripping, that's the closest thing to a complaint I can think of for this property. It wasn't necessarily a problem for me.But I think it's probably a problem that they're battling with overall. I think for people who were super picky and upity.You would say that this place needs an upgrade, but for me it was totally fine, albeit prices are elevated just because of the area that it's in. Say what you will, but I skied 45 days straight and I went out for dinner every night and for the most part didn't have to drive unless I chose to. That being said, I'm not lazy. So I was willing to walk to the downtown area, where the ski lift merges into all the eating areas.

I stayed in Room 5. Ground floor and door was inside, so the room stayed toasty warm with the heater on.

However, the room was also in the housekeeping area. The bed was against the wall where the washing machines are, and at 6:42am, they all went into the spin cycle, shaking the wall, bed, and windows. I thought it was an earthquake. Once I was awake, I could hear them as well so I had a hard time falling back asleep.

With that said, I love this property. The staff is always so friendly! Check in is a breeze and the property is generally quiet. Breakfast is delicious. The other two times I've stayed here have been 5 Stars so make sure you have your earplugs (they provide foam earplugs) if you're in Room 5 unless you're planning to get up super early anyway!

I had a wonderful stay at the Cinnamon Bear Inn. The location is perfect—close to everything in Mammoth Lakes but still peaceful and relaxing. The rooms were clean, cozy, and had that charming mountain feel that makes your stay extra special.

The staff was friendly and welcoming, making check-in easy and the whole experience feel personal. One of my favorite parts was how quiet and comfortable it was—perfect after a day of exploring, hiking, or enjoying the snow.

My experience mirrors other recent reviews. Good budget option. It’s loud, slamming doors a constant day and night and inconsiderate loud people. Earplugs or fan white noise a must. But where else can you get a good clean room in Mammoth for this price that’s got walkable great food options? I wish the hot tub wasn’t so gross. At least the bath tubs are big. I thought the value was higher n par with the cost and I would go back.

The room was clean and well-appointed including a gas heating stove.l The property has a lot of deferred maintenance and shows a lot of wear and tear, and finish work is amateurish. For example, the tub filler neck has @ an inch gap from the tile. The dispensers in the shower offered body wash, shampook and conditioner, but would dispense little. There is a bare 2X4 suspended from a ledge from which a light hangs. The hot tub was "out of order" and did not look clean. The roof is well-aged wood shakes.

Nice quiet little hotel just off of Main St. The free breakfast buffet included in the stay was great. Not your average free continental breakfast like most of the other corporate hotel properties offer. They make fresh pancakes, breakfast potatoes with peppers and onions and great scrambled eggs with some ground sausage mixed in which was delicious! I would absolutely stay again. Super friendly staff that also quickly handled a little issue I had with my room after checking in.

Check in would have been a breeze had the check in person taken more time to explain where Room 16 is located. My family and I had spend more time looking for the room location outside in the cold.
I decided to checked the email from Cinnamon Bear and I remembered there was a map of the property. I can’t believed the check in person didn’t even asked how was our room…

The sofa bed was also broken ( can’t open the bed). My son slept on the sofa instead.

Breakfast was a plus but food were cold when served. How about coffee maker in room?

I recently stayed at Cinnamon Bear Inn and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. The room did not feel very clean—the walls looked dirty, and there was a strong floor cleaner smell when we arrived. With all the snow outside, it would have really helped to have an entry mat by the door to wipe off our boots, but there wasn’t one. As a result, we ended up tracking snow inside, which quickly turned into water.

Staff was kind and courteous. The room was okay looks wise. The floor was incredibly loud as was the bed - just moving or sitting on it led to loud creaking. The room was not completely tidy as there were noticeable spiderwebs, small bugs crawling on the wall by the bathroom, and the bathroom floor appeared dirty.

Staff was unhelpful, guy walked in while we were raising our complaint to say, “ our drain is plugged… again”. Owner refused any refund, told us it was Hotel.com’s issue because they posted the pics. Where did those pics come from ya think? Very dated and worn down place. We actually refused to stay and left the property loss or not.

Room B was a little difficult to get through (lots of stairs and hauling luggage). But the room was clean and cozy! Shower had good pressure and was nice and hot. Bed and couch was super comfortable too.

Breakfast was provided. I went to eat my second morning and the person in front of me used her hands so I didn't eat anything. It smelled amazing though (I could smell it in my room - what a wake up call!)
