We'd like to thank the staff of La Conchiglia for a wonderful stay. We'd especially like to call out Salem for staying late for us on our check in day due to flight delays that made us arrive much later than our original expected arrival time. Salem was very patient with us and we really appreciated the above and beyond service he provided. The breakfast each morning was also very good and is one thing that we are already missing now that we're home. Thank you La Conchiglia!

AMAZING!!!!!! Oh my gosh. The view in this cove is unbeatable. The staff is so so nice. They make you cappuccino’s right downstairs in the morning and free breakfast. The beach was calm and perfect. You can walk to the two dinner spots around the cove and it’s a beautiful view. So lovely!!!!!

This property had everything you would want in a resort. Clean, authentic, super friendly staff, on the beach, you can rent boats, go on excursions, free breakfast freshly made morning. This was the cutest place ever nestled in between the cliff side. Rooms were super cute and spacious. It’s great if you’re looking for something more affordable but still close to positano. We took the bus or water taxi and were able to do day trips to positano and amalfi. There’s only 4 restaurants you can choose from so don’t expect a whole lot going on next to the hotel. The daughter helped arrange us a taxi to the airport on our last day which was awesome. 10/10! Perfect if you want something quieter and more isolated but still gorgeous. Breakfast was great and they made eggs to order and cappuccinos!

If you like a very quiet location, with nothing to do after the sunset this is the place. Next time I will stay in Positano, The best city at the Amalfi Coast.

the absolute BEST place to stay in the amalfi coast. There's 4 restaurants, including one cooked but the grandma, a day bed at Il Pirata is a MUST to jump off the cliffs and eat fantastic food. the locals are super kind and welcoming. Lastly, a water boat tour to the other cities along the coast, or to just snorkle was perfect. This is a good place to just go for 4 days and just relax. It is a bit challenging getting to the location, but being there made everything worth it. the hotel itself and the room has AC and were an ample size. 10/10

Absolutely loved this place! It is family owned and operated and they are so kind and friendly! The breakfast was wonderful! The only downsides were that right next to the hotel they were sanding some boats and also had some heavy equipment operating during our stay that was rather loud and really took away from the peaceful and serene beauty of the property. Also their restaurant was no longer open for dinner but at least we were able to get a simple lunch and a cocktail- which was nice. From the daughter to the mother to the grandmother they were all lovely and so accommodating!!!

Our view from our terrace was spectacular. The hotel was so clean and beautiful. La Conchiglia has been family run for decades and it shows. From the moment we walked up we were greeted warmly and the family did everything they could to ensure we had a lovely stay (e.g. helped us with the bus system, talked to us about travel ideas, etc.). It truly felt like they wanted to enjoy their hotel rather than it being a transaction. The hotel is located directly below (5min walk) a bus stop, has water taxis available, and is a short walk to multiple restaurants. Overall it was like taking a step back in time and we greatly enjoyed our experience and the family’s hospitality. There was a wide variety of breakfast options (croissant, many coffee options including alternative milks, bacon, eggs, granola, etc.) and the dinner options have a home-cooked feel and heartiness. We would definitely stay again!

I loved this hotel. Perfectly situated in front of Marina de Praia. I literally only had to walk a couple of steps and the beach was right there. We had breakfast included and it was heavenly. The view and the food every morning at breakfast made me excited for the rest of my day. Lunch there was amazing too. The staff were so friendly and helped us with any questions we had. Bus stop at the top of the hill was convenient. It’s only 25 mins by bus to Positano. Only bad part was that we couldn’t go out at night bc the buses only run until 11 pm and start at 8:30 am the next day. The taxis from Positano at night were over 100€. Definitely something to think about if you’re younger and looking to go out at night in Positano.

The views are spectacular, small beach and the water was refreshing. The property is between Positano and Amalfi Positano is the place if you can only do one. Transport is key know it before you go

The views of the marina from the restaurant and hotel are spectacular with access to many restaurants around the corner for dinner with a view wherever you turn. Otherwise it’s a bit far out from any of the towns (recommend having a car or scooter to get into town however there is no included parking at the hotel). La Conchiglia is the best find! It’s small, family-run, and the staff makes you feel so at home. The rooms are beautiful and quaint, air conditioning worked well, and the daily housekeeping is fabulous. Breakfast is included and comes with the best view. Martina, the manager/conceirge helped us with anything we needed, from bus schedules to excursion recommendations. The beach at marina di Praia is just steps away and there are several great restaurants in the cove. There is a bus stop just a few minute walk at the top of the hill.

We loved our stay! This is a family run business in the heart of Praiano Beach/ Marina. They greet you every morning at breakfast (included and homemade) - the best croissants ever! The rooms were clean, spacious, had air conditioning. There was a small restaurant attached to the with pasta and sandwich options, as well as drinks and snacks. Great area with access to the local beach and the staff was extremely helpful in booking us a boat tour. Also with in walking distance to restaurants on the water with amazing views!

This family run hotel is undergoing some renovations. The room was nice and the area it’s in, Marina di Praia, is a little away from the bustle of Amalfi or Positano, but still has great restaurants, a beach, and easy access to buses or boats. In fact its situated halfway between Amalfi and Positano. Staff was friendly, breakfast was included and delicious. Possibly due to renovations, the WiFi was a little spotty in our room, although most areas of the property it was fine.

Great little hotel in a very underrated area

We had a wonderful 3 night stay here! The hotel is tucked into a little cove that is actually outside of most of Praiano, which is a huge advantage, as it's the only part of Praiano that sits at sea level. The area has an uphill walkable path near the water to reach the rest of town, but this little inlet is quite secluded, private-feeling, and beautiful. The family that owns the hotel was very helpful on multiple occasions (directions, hiking ideas, help navigating logistics) and their breakfast is fantastic. We had never been to the Amalfi Coast before and, after spending time in other towns on this trip, I actually can't imagine booking a better location. There's a small beach, several restaurants, and it's easy to get to other parts of the coast either via water taxi or, much more cheaply, by taking the SITA bus, which picks up about a 5 minute walk up the hill. It doesn't have the views of some other locations, the views are a short hike or bus ride away. La Conchiglia is actually very conveniently located and we found getting around was much easier than expected. Were I to make another trip to the Amalfi Coast, I would absolutely book La Conchiglia again.

We stayed here for 6 nights. The room was bigger than typical. Small but nice deck with great view. Beautiful location, steep canyon walls of this beautiful cove mean that when it is summer, there's a short window of direct overhead sun. The shade provided most of the day means its a little cooler and enjoyable to sit out and enjoy it, not be blinded and scorched by the sun. The hotel has a restaurant on site, it is the most reasonably priced one in walking distance. Our stay included breakfast which was very nice, homemade everything, very good. It is a fantastic area for a quiet stay with beautiful views. Praiana is a 1 euro shuttle ride away, suggest taking shuttle into town, walking back (this avoids walking up stairs). There is a small marina where you can take excursions by boat, the area has a handful of pricey restaurants. Many people would taxi down to Marina di Praia just to go to the higher end restaurants here. At the top of the hill above the hotel is a main bus stop for all major bus lines going to Positano, Amalfi, etc. We bused to/from Sorrento, very cheap bus fares, assuming you can get seats. The only real negatives are the hike up/down from the bus stop with luggage on cobblestone. So if you're older or lots of luggage, try and coordinate with the hotel to get help shuttling luggage up and down the hill. And the beach is like small cobblestone, painful to walk on, have to rent beach chairs for $50 euro a day, even though there's not much sun!

A beautiful and quiet family run B&B

It was a lovely B&B run by three generations working together. The 85 years old grandmother refuses to retire. Her family style dinner delighted us with the yumminess and comfort, something you particularly desire when traveling. Mom’s freshly baked croissant every morning sets the mood for a pleasant day. We loved staying in the relatively quiet place with easy access to Positano and other touristy towns. The place is currently being renovated. We look forward to going back when all is completed!

This is such a fabulous property. Run by three generations of women. This year they also had a male employee. Breakfasts were fantastic, every question you might have was well answered and the ladies and Luciano were great. You quickly became like family here. The property is right on the beach allowing a wonderful dip after a day of sightseeing that usually included quite a physical workout (although that is strictly up to you). This is one of the best places for friendliness I have ever stayed. My wife and I loved it!

If you drive, there's parking across the hotel. Straight on the Marina with a small beach, have access to a few restaurant on the beach, Pirata (make reservation) we ate at the Francheno, its was expensive and delish but everything is expensive on the Almafi coast

Hotel la conchiglia was a nice spot in Praiano. The service was great and the staff friendly. The room and bathroom were clean, and staff made the bed everyday. Complimentary breakfast was a great addition. There are restaurants in praiano walkable from the hotel. Our only complaints are to do with the transportation. The water taxi is 80 euros round trip to get to and from amalfi (and probably Positano, too, we just didn’t go there). A car taxi was 80 euros one way. There is an option for the bus, at the top of the hill, that runs about every hour and is very very crowded. Accessibility to other towns and the train station relied on the above, which made the experience a little less enjoyable. Overall, the hotel was a nice stay!

Helpful and flexible staff with great advice for sightseeing. Delicious, fresh breakfast to-order with gorgeous views. We liked it so much we cancelled our islands trip and stayed 4 days to enjoy. Much less crowded/expensive than Positano/Amalfi. Walking distance to town center and Fiordo di Furore. Can walk from here up to Path-of-the Gods hike. From Sorrento, I booked an Amalfi Coast Day trip and asked the driver to drop me here at the end instead of returning to Sorrrento. Then we took the Sita Bus back. Warning that during high season the buses may be full and not pick up new passengers.

was very bad hotel. the hotel don't have parking place for gusts and they made me pay 35 Euro for one day parking. I think they have agreement with the parking guy. the room very old and not maintained good. this is very expensive compared to what you get. stay another place better.

Location has been in family for decades and she and her husband started their business in early 1960's if I remember correctly.

Owning family is very kind and helpful. Complimentary breakfasts were amazing! Location was great! The cove has it's own private beach. There are water taxi services and bus options to get to and from Positano and other areas. Great restaurant and bar options near by. Place itself was very cute and clean. Balcony was nice with great views. Highly recommend this spot!

La Conchiglia is the perfect place to stay while on the Amalfi Coast! My room was very clean and spacious. I easily took a water taxi or bus to / from Positano during my stay. The location was right near the beach and close to several restaurants. Martina and her family were absolutely amazing! Excellent service and value for dollar. I highly recommend everyone to book La Conchiglia .

This was a piece of heaven, the room was a little dated but spotlessly clean. The young lady who helped us at reception and breakfast was very genuinely kind and helpful. Breakfast was really amazing with the best view. We stayed here as we read about Nona who made meals but unfortunately wasn’t cooking this year. We found a beautiful restaurant on the beach on the right who has such amazing staff. We had a balcony off our room, hot shower. Beach towels and bag. The only complaint was the bed was very hard.

This place was a dream come true! It is a definite hidden gem along the Amalfi Coast…I’m almost hesitant to want to tell more people about it! We stayed two nights and it wasn’t enough. We had the largest balcony and it was just lovely. The property is in Praiano, which is nestled between Amalfi and Positano, and is just a 15-minute water taxi away to each. But, with the private beach steps away from the property and the delicious restaurants that are in walking distance, we really didn’t leave much. We will be back! We enjoyed breakfast at the onsite restaurant by the same name every morning. The food was delicious, too! The family that runs the property is so kind and welcoming. We didn’t want to leave! There are just too many wonderful things to say about Praiano and this property. We loved every minute here.

Private beach, restaurants, romantic hikes and even more including small markets at the top of a beautiful stroll up the cement paths and steps of the mountain side. Very happy I was able to stay in this fqmily run hotel. There is a beach right there that you can go at anytime. The breakfast was amazing especially since it was made from Nona.
You can walk to Fioro di Furore.
The bus station is right at the top of the hotel.
I really enjoyed my time here.

Fantastic FOOD, kind family, lovely location

We loved staying here! Absolute highlight of the trip!

Location: Nestled between Praiano and San Michele, you're just below a SITA bus stop, at the base of an entrance to the Path of the Gods hike, as well as perfectly situated at the footstep of the sea.

Room: Clean, cute, quiet. We had a balcony and enjoyed a sneaky sea view and the sounds of the local fisherman and life in the towns above.

Breakfast/Food: Phenomenal. The restaurant is run by Mama, the kitchen by Nonna, and the Bar by Nonno. Mama speaks enough English that you're set, and she bends over backwards to make sure you're take care of! Then the food, ohhhhh the foooood!!!! Make sure you spend at least one dinner there; ask what's fresh, say what you like, eat whatever Nonna gives you. Don't cheat on Nonna and go across the cove for dinner, we did one night and sat grumpily regretting our choice.

Amazing place

We loved everything about La Conchiglia! It was one of seven accomodations from our trip and we liked it the most. Why? First,the room was spotless clean, very well equiped with any amenities you may want, including a bag with beach towels. Second, the location is awesome, just half an hour drive to Amalfi or Positano, but incredibly quiet, being located near the beach Marina di Praia. The bus stop is 1 minute walking away as well.
The ladies working there are doing an amazing job, always smiling and ready to help.
Last but not least, the breakfast was very good, with homemade croissants and cooked to order egg choise.
