Good place to stay if you just need a bed for a night. The AC didn’t work, so be aware of that if staying in the warmer season. Shared bathrooms, and stained bedding, but for the price, it was an ok place to stay just for a night. Also, breakfast isn’t included, although it says it is. It’s cheap, but you still have to pay.

Friendly staff upon arrival. Room was equipped with extra blankets, hairdryer and cold water sink. I was given a towel at check in. Shared shower and bathrooms very conveniently located and easy access. The place was clean and centrally located just off the square. Highly recommend .

This hotel is a good, economical option staying in the old city just steps away from Jemaa el Fnaa. It is a bit noisy but this is the nature of the area. Room was basic but clean, beds were comfortable and everything was in working order. One thing to mention is that the hotel will only accept cash for payment, no credit cards were accepted for our stay. I think this should be mentioned in their policies. All in all, we would stay here again excellent location and decent price.

Room was very small with an uncomfortable bed. The hotel is in a dodgy area and is run by one rude individual. I could hear every word, footstep, and motorbike outside, which made me feel unsafe. To make matters worse, there was a dead cockroach under the pillow.

Improve: rooms were not clean, had to request new bedding. Shower pressure was weak and didnt drain properly. No mirror in bedroom only in bathroom.

The hotel is just what you need for an affordable clean place to leave your things and sleep. The location can’t be beat. It does get loud in the evening to sleep with guests being loud and the rooms opening to the courtyard. Even during the day if you need a nap it sounded like they were doing maintenance but it wasn’t incessant. A little more direction could be given about things like getting out early or late once the door is locked, we had a 5am pick up for a tour and didn’t know there was a man sleeping by the reception desk we had to wake up to let us out. Other than that everyone was super friendly, it was pretty and clean, the shower was lovely and the beds though not the absolute comfiest did the trick. They even helped us arrange a cab that picked us up to go to the airport. Would use again for a trip here if the price was still good as it was now.

We had a very mixed experience at Hotel Atlas.

Before our arrival, someone from the hotel contacted us asking if we needed airport pickup. They offered a taxi for 15 euros (150DH), which I knew was far above the local rate of 30–50DH. I declined, but despite this, a driver still showed up at the airport. The driver barely spoke English and claimed the ride was “free,” but then said I had to pay at the hotel. After refusing, I ended up speaking with the hotel owner directly over the phone and they lowered the price. It felt like a scam — the kind where they send a driver anyway to make it difficult to say no.

That said, the owner helped us the next day when we couldn’t find our camel tour guide. The guide had apparently contacted the hotel, and the owner kindly told us where to go.

The room itself was okay. Our room was on the rooftop, and while the hot shower worked and the toilet was fine, the area got quite noisy at night with people talking and eating until around 11 PM.

Honestly, I’m not sure how to feel about the experience overall. Some parts were helpful, but others felt uncomfortable and pushy.

FYI, there’s a local bus from the airport to Jemaa el-Fnaa that costs just 30DH one way. The bus driver might say different things or make it confusing, but it’s 30DH per person. The bus comes about every 30 minutes, so it’s a good budget-friendly option. If you’re planning a round trip from the airport, make sure to confirm everything clearly in advance. Hope that helps!

It was very noisy, the room was next to the stairs, and constantly had people going up and down throughout the night with heavy luggages, so i had trouble sleeping, there is no sound proof at all.

This is the only issue i had, and also towels are not provided.

Front desk staff was not friendly upon check in. Room was nice and clean. In the morning we realized shower was broke. Front desk ignored us for an hour and thought we just didn’t know how to work it. Eventually we got moved to another room so they could fix the other shower. They were apologetic when they realized it was broke. Location was really good off the main square.

Our room had some weird smell and when my friend went to tell the person in charges, he responded was he never had heard something like that and he never went to the room to smell it or give us something for the smell. We ended putting perfume and leaving the window opened. I also asked for help because I couldn’t watch TV and the person in Charged told me to wait until he’s done with his paperwork, he ended up showing up 20min after.

Staff were really nice and helpful we just didn’t understand the booking system. You have to book extra for private shower/bathroom, air con etc. otherwise you share the bathroom/shower like a hostel, rooms were also very small. This didn’t bother us much though as we didn’t stay long. However just be sure to double check if you are booking private or shared rooms. We were pretty content anyways- only issue was that the bathroom was locked at night so we couldn’t use the toilet 😅

The best part about the hotel is the owner. He is very nice and allowed me to pay the next day after check-in, since it's cash only and I needed to get to the ATM. He even lent me 200 MAD so that I didn't have to stop at the ATM before he walked me to the cafe I was trying to find. He's a very caring, sweet, thoughtful guy. There are pretty plants adorned throughout the lobby and pet birds. It was what I needed (a clean, comfortable place to stay with a bed and private bathroom, affordable and right near the shopping area, but away enough to not be directly in the shopping center, and a lot of shops and restaurants nearby in walking distance). The main thing that I didn't like was that there were a group of girls, who unfortunately were right next to my room, that were extremely loud all hours of the night, 1am, 330 am, all day long and they even mocked a woman who yelled up, Please girls, respect! I had one conversation in my room at 1am and wasn't very loud and she came out the room and yelled respect! After all that extremely disrespectful noise all hours of the night from them, I thought I had to be imagining she was talking to me. They had guys coming to their room, banging loudly on the doors. I hope they all leave before I do. Hope they're gone if you decide to stay here as well. It was a lot of noise from doors slamming throughout the day. I don't understand why some people can be so loud with no regard for others. You can hear all the sounds from the festivities too

Thsy should tell you that you will be getting a shared bathroom if you dont book a room with this feature. Its important to have your own bathroom when your on your own. It was freezing with no heating system which was also a downside for my stay. Other than that, the service and staff were actually quite amazing

Possibly the worst service I have ever witnessed. We arrived at the hotel around half 8 in the evening and had to wait around 20 minutes to check in. The guy at the front desk then showed us to the “terrace room” which can only be described as a store room for the terrace furniture on the roof. There was no bed and no sheets (there were two couches). When I complained that this was not a double room, the guy became rude and said that if we didn’t like it we could go else where. When I asked where, he said it was “not his problem”. He then bizarrely began to tell us how his boss occasionally slept in the store room (the perks at the top) and that it was a good deal for us for “only one night”. He didn’t seem to care that I had an actual booking at all. Again when I asked to get the room we booked, he said we would have to pay more for a better (actual) room. It’s hard to put in to words just how horrible this creep was. I said no, and we went back down stairs to speak to his manager (presumably the boss who sometimes sleeps in the joke of a room we were shown). He was less rude but still completely useless. After seemingly agreeing to give us a room, he didn’t actually give us a key and just stood in the reception with a stupid look on his face as wave after wave of people arrived. We got tired of waiting and ended up finding another hotel (which was pretty terrible but all we could get at around 10pm in the centre of Marrakech). Awful people, awful service, awful hotel.

Great if you just need to be close to main square

If all you care about is being close to the main square, its perfect as its just one block from the action. Be warned the bathroom is shared, but the room was fine and for what you pay for, the place had a nice rooftop. The service is meh kind of slow and do be warned that you have to pay the hotel fee in cash.

My kids were hungry for not having a breakfast though we requested last evening. It’s not only for 1 day but it goes for almost 4 days.
Specially someone Abdululla, don’t understand anything in English and commit YES, which he turned next day that he didn’t said last evening, he might be in drugs.
Not safe for families. Pls stay away from hotels near market square like Hotel Atlas.
Pls don’t book hotel Atlas , it’s my recommendation.

Camera claustrofobica, piccola e con una finestra dalla quale entrava pochissa luce. Personale dell’hotel scortese e chiassoso a qualsiasi ora del giorno e della notte. La camera è vicinissima a due bagni, uno affianco e uno di sopra..posso lasciarvi immaginare il via vai continuo ad ogni ora del giorno e della notte, odori e rumori molesti.

ATTENZIONE: Tutte le camere con bagno in comune non sono dotate di asciugamani!!! Nonostante averlo richiesto al personale al mio arrivo mi è stato negato l’asciugamano (anche pagando!!).

ATTENZIONE: per la colazione serve presentare un ticket (che non viene corrisposto dopo il pagamento, ma bisogna andarlo a chiedere in reception ogni mattina). Abbiamo perso più di 45min ad aspettare una colazione che non sarebbe mai arrivata!
Il personale è molto scortese e hanno voluto rifare i conti un paio di volte perché pensavano non avessimo pagato la colazione.

Se volete andare a Marrakech state alla larga da questo hotel. Che tra l’altro non è un hotel ma un Riad! Pessimo.

Foi ok, quarto simples e mas ate confortável. Não tinha ar condicionado mas como naonestava quente e nem muito frio, o cobertor foi suficiente. O hotel fica bem próximo da praça principal.

O ponto negativo era o banheiro quebficava no andar de cima.

Está muy bien localizado y bien de precio. habitación cuádruple es pequeña, sin armario, pero las camas son cómodas. El desayuno muy recomendable, es en la terraza de arriba.

Lo malo que pregunté por un secador antes de ir y al llegar solo tenían un secador para todo el hotel y encima estaba estropeado y solo salía aire frío, osea que no servía de nada.

Freundliches Personal, An- und Abreise mit dem Taxi vom bzw. zum Flughafen waren pünktlich und zuverlässig;
Auf Nachfrage erhielten wir zusätzliche Decken, es war Anfang März noch sehr kühl in der Nacht; Bettwäsche und Handtücher wurden auf Nachfrage gewechselt; Kleiner Makel ist das Licht im Zimmer, ungeeignet zum Lesen.
Insgesamt waren wir für den Preis sehr zufrieden.

Our visit was very pleasant and we both enjoyed it very much. Owner of the place and all of the others working there were super friendly and always ready to help you.

The only thing that can be improved is the cleanliness of the toilets and the lack of toilet paper. Toilets clearly weren't cleaned often or at least it was done very poorly.

Buena opción si lo que buscas es un precio ajustado y buena ubicación, ya que se encuentra a un minuto de la plaza Jemaa El Fna.
El hotel tiene un patio bonito, las habitaciones limpias. Eso sí, son pequeñas y los colchones viejos. Los baños compartidos estaban sucios cosa habitual al haber gente utilizándolos todo el día.
En fin, si buscas comodidades igual no es tu opción, pero precio-calidad es correcto y la ubicación facilita mucho moverse por las principales atracciones de Marrakech
