Staff was great when our room was not in working order, switching us quickly to another room. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However the shampoo was leaking all down the wall and into the tub, several light bulbs burned out, furniture in poor condition, although everything was functional. Weird, because the shower was nicely tiled and the shower doors were new looking. Did not have the breakfast.

Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing. The room we were assigned had a strong moldy smell, which made it very uncomfortable. The bathroom was also not properly cleaned and even had dead bugs in it. Overall, the cleanliness of the room did not meet our expectations, and I hope the hotel addresses these issues for future guests.

Expedia messed up our reservation but the staff was so friendly and offered to go above & beyond their job description to help find a solution. The grounds are well kept and our room was wonderful. But Expedia failed, so always call the hotel to ensure they’ve received your reservation so you aren’t left scrambling to find somewhere to stay when the whole town is booked up!

First step into the room was an awful odor of stinky socks and BO from a previous occupant. No effort to make the room smell better. Recliner was heavily stained with either body sweat and fluids and stunk horrible. Bed had protruding steel hooks that where suppose to hold the dislodged mattress. Those hooks ended up injuring my wife's legs breaking the skin and badly brusing. Mattress creaked and sagged very badly and is generally broken. Upon closer inspection there is blood splatter all over the floor boards between bedroom and bathroom as well as blood running down the bathroom door jam. No effort to clean what looks like an over looked crime seen!

Don't be fooled by the photos posted on websites. The rooms are not a nice as the photos they post. The following is not based on one persons opinion with one room; but, a combination of reviews from 3 people, each staying in separate rooms. When opening the basked of the coffee maker there was an old coffee/filter still in there and it was moldy! There is a desk with a desk chair - however the chair does not go up high enough to work comfortably on your laptop at the desk. Lighting in the room is yellowish and dark; which leads one to think they are hiding something disgusting...the mind reels. The blinds were broken. 2 of us, did not trust the linens so slept on top of the bedspread. Overall - an overpriced 19 hours (in 4 PM out 11 AM). I will say this - the young man who checked us in was very nice.

Despite arriving one and a half hours after checkin time the room was not ready and we had to wait a further half an hour in the hot sun before gaining access.
The central garden space had a little shade but the plants do not look well maintained.
The room once accessible was fine and reasonably quiet over night despite being located near the main road.
Breakfast was adequate with room to sit down.

Fort Bragg has several restaurants but the only place to eat locally in the evening within walking distance was a fast food outlet.

Very spacious and comfortable rooms. They were relatively clean, a couple of areas that needed attention but nothing to complain about. The hotel has beautiful outdoor areas. I ended up having to stay another night in Fort Bragg and wish I had booked here again. Definitely would recommend staying here.

I traveled all the way from Sacramento, which was 4 hours away. A bit tired and exhausted at that time. The room that was given to me has a connecting section on the other side, where the people there were loud and noisy. I don't have the energy to request a transfer due to exhaustion. At least from the reception, the staff should ask if the customer is ok with that setup. Also, the internet was very slow. I brought my laptop for some email checks and work-related tasks, but I cannot even open my email due to a poor connection.

The room and the bathroom had a terrible odor. The cheap carpet squares were stained and barely glued to the floor. The whole place looked run down and not well maintained. I wouldn’t want my dog to sleep in that room. We ended up leaving and cutting our weekend short. We drove nearly four hours home just to avoid having to stay there.

Property and area are beautiful.
Beds were not comfortable in room 174.
Seemed like the staff packs every one in towards the back when there’s almost no one in the front area of the motel. We had a neighbor that had people come in and out all night long so didn’t sleep well.
I think if they would’ve just spread people out a little bit more than it would’ve been a better stay.
Stayed in better and worse places. Location is convenient you can walk around to a great restaurant for breakfast or lunch at David’s and harvest market is next-door for anything else you need.

Well located. Room in need of some maintenance. Door housing mini fridge within, was askew and didn't fully close. Paint at base of door was badly chipped. Two drill holes to the left of bathroom door, need to be spackled and two missing caps at base of toilet were unattractive and discolored. Several dark marks in shower need paint cover. It is strange that these items, which are a simple fix, should go unaddressed. One must wonder if housekeeping doesn't pass these items to maintenance.

1. Location, Location, Location: You are literally in the heart of everything! It’s perfectly situated right in the middle of all the best spots the area has to offer.
2.From the front desk to the cleaning crew and the groundskeepers, the staff is world-class. They aren't just polite; they are exceptionally nice, attentive, and genuinely care about your stay.
3. The rooms are consistently clean, and the staff is proactive—always checking in to see if we need anything at all. You never have to chase anyone down for a fresh towel or extra supplies!
We just wrapped up another incredible year, and I’m already counting down the days until the next trip. If you want a stress-free stay with top-tier service, this is it. we are kind of loud and in attendance of 30-50 guest wand the other patrons not once complained and have joined in. We really love this spot, it’s in a perfect place for a good price. They take such good care of the property, and it has everything you need. Even a fire pit and a little dog park. The surrounding area is amazing and there’s so much to do. Don’t forget the Botanical Gardens.
The staff here is lovely and the owner is really kind 💛. We will be back.

Touch-ups needed for holes in the walls and grout moldy. And the heater made a very loud noise.
But considering the price these were all minor hiccups.

Staff was not knowledgeable about the area or attractions nearby which was very surprising being a tourist area.

We booked two rooms at the same time. One room was acceptable, but the other had a strong odor when we first walked in. There was no room service at all. Each bed only had one sheet and no blankets were provided, even after we requested them. They were also unable to accommodate our request to have the two rooms close to each other.

Room on check-in was not fully cleaned - beds were not made, some trash still left in room, tv was on. There were no other same size rooms, but front desk was very accommodating and switched to a slightly larger one at no extra cost.

As has been mentioned, the heater was noisy. Not constantly, but would periodically become louder, then softer. Not sure why. Otherwise, new room was clean and serviceable. Breakfast was very basic. Overall value for price was good.

Despite checking in at 4pm, the room was not ready until 5:40pm. Front desk person didn’t even know or inform us, nor apologized or offered anything for the inconvenience. We noticed the guests next door were also waiting for their room to be cleaned and the housekeeper didn't start to clean their room until they finished with ours. Poor communication and hospitality, but the room was clean. Wifi reception was weak and we were kicked off routinely.

We walked in and basically walked out. We canceled our reservation within minutes of arriving. It reeked of cigarettes, the furniture was broken, the bed was like a hammock, there were stains in the carpet and cloth amenities, the bathroom was gross, you could hear the drunk ppl on either side clearly, and the key entry took multiple attempts to work. This place is a total dump. The check in staff was extremely rude. She put up a 5 min sign and was gone for nearly 15 min, and when I went looking for her, met me with rage about how I was grossly out of line for requesting help. Absolutely unsafe to stay here and I'm so glad we didn't.
