We came here for our 10 year wedding anniversary hoping to just relax and enjoy our time in Georgia. Well that’s exactly what we got . The staff was amazing and very polite . They made it feel like a home away a from home. Lots of things to do on the property and really never even had to leave. 10/10 definitely recommend. We can’t wait for our next trip!

Although it is fairly expensive to stay and eat in the restaurant, it was good food and good service. We had a room with two queen beds, and both beds were overly firm for our liking. Staff was friendly and helpful. I was surprised at checkout with the $40.00 per day resort fee.

Amazing stay! Plan on taking advantage of all they have to offer. If you plan to do any of the ropes courses make sure to bring tennis shoes. They do not allow sandals or crocs.

This is a truly beautiful place, it’s all about relaxation. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff are very attentive. I wasn’t able to utilize many of the amenities because I was there for a wedding so I was preoccupied, but I definitely plan to come back when I can spend a few days exploring, riding a bike on the trails and just relaxing. The butterfly garden was pretty. The beach and pool looked fun. The gardens are definitely worth a few hours to enjoy. I highly recommend!

It is a very beautiful and peaceful place. The rooms at the Lodge were immaculately clean. Restaurants were good. Beautiful nature trails and also engaging attractions.

On the downside, The pool was a long walk and was chilly. Hot tubs were small and deep - be careful.

We visted Calloway Gardens May 10-12, 2026. Beautiful propery, polite staff, room designed well and beautiful, the restaurants in the hotel had awesome staff. The menu never changed, and somewhat pricey. There is another restaurant The Kitchen store and restaurant where breakfast and lunch are served. The staff was nice and helpful, the dining room overlooks the moutains, the scenery is awesome.
At the main hotel Marjorie the Concierge was extremely helpful and very friendly

Rooms were not ready at check-in time. Lobby bathroom was gross with urine and feces. Our room had a strange odor. Understaffed restaurant at the resort. The cantina at the beach was unexpectedly closed. The main gate to the beach was closed causing a long drive to get lunch for our hungry children.

The staff was friendly and the food was good when we finally got sat in the mostly empty dining room. The beds were comfortable. The scenery was nice.

I will never book a hotel with Wikipedia again. They did not say the villa was away from the main hotel. I wanted to change my stay but I did not get any help or a refund. Booking the place was to be at the hotel, not driving 15 minutes back and forth for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with kids.

Wikipedia this is so disappointing to me. Spending all that money and 2 hours' drive for my son's birthday and Mother's Day, then that. I was so disappointed.

The food at the Piedmont Restaurant was not good. The menu was too sophisticated for the staff to execute.
The lodge rooms were updated, but not very clean.
There was a bridge in the gardens with rotted wooden slats and steps, and one section of the rail was missing altogether.
The staff was friendly and helpful.

My door was left open by housekeeping for 6 hours while we were not at the resort. When I advised the front desk, the gentleman was very apologetic. He eventually gave our party free breakfast the next morning, but the fact this happened at all was very unsettling.

The Callaway Resort & Gardens was an exceptional place to focus on my first sabbatical with my grandchildren. The cottage was absolutely gorgeous and offered every amenity we needed for a comfortable and peaceful stay.

It provided the perfect environment for rest, reflection, and quality time together. This experience was truly memorable, and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking both relaxation and a meaningful getaway. We will be back soon!

Callaway Gardens has very nice cottages for rent that are spacious, clean, and quite Pleasant. As for the gardens themselves, we were less happy. The place is not properly named since they were not really Gardens there but rather large tracts of forest with Native azaleas, numerous Lakes and a large Golf Course. Our main problem with the place was getting around since the signage was often confusing and unclear. Certain exits were randomly locked, and forced us to turn around and hunt for another exit. The Butterfly House was pretty nice, and one of our grandson's went on the zip line which was actually very challenging and fun. All in all I would give the gardens a fair rating

Everything is too pricey in comparison with the quality provided. Room had a noise in the wall (underneath the air conditioning display). The noise persisted all night despite the air conditioning was off. Unacceptable for a place where one of the greatest features you expect is tranquility.

Check in was pleasant. The rep made us feel welcome and other staff even opened doors for us while coming inside. Our stay was good, the bathroom had a smell but it looked clean. All was well until the next morning around 9 AM house keeping knocked on the door saying she was just checking her rooms because their system was down. Not a big deal, I laid back down since check out was at 11. About 30 minutes later still in the 9 o'clock hour housekeeping came back to our room knocked on the door and asked us when were we planning to check out? Huh? Check out isn't until 11 so why does it matter if it isn't even 10 AM yet? We were so annoyed that we got on up and left. Never have I ever had hotel staff bother us twice asking what time we were planning to check out. This may be our first and last time staying there.

Quality of service declines each year we visit . The spa is incredible and the entire reason we come stay a weekend in the lodge. Room service staff seem miserable but the servers at Casons are always good. Food is just okay. I've lowered my expectations sadly because staying at Callaway and spending alot of money at the spa is a big splurge for me. We will come back just with less expectations.

Spent two nights between work obligations and was looking forward to the spa and lovely surroundings - spa was closed on a Wednesday do to fire drill?!?!? So that was a big disappointment - and I ask about occupancy rate for my stay - 8% - and they give me a room facing the parking lot not the lovely view on back side of rooms - - I will say the manager even though she called at 930 in evening and woke me - called to apologize about the spa and gave me a complimentary breakfast. Will say the 40 a day resort fee was an insult since I could not enjoy the resort amenities- they said they would refund and will check my cc statement to see if they followed thru - staff was aware and very nice. Will point out when I called to make a spa reservation for two services which were on line - one was not available anymore - which was moot but they also need to update the spa menu

The restaurant closed at 10. We got there at 9 and were told they wouldn’t seat us. The pool was dirty by the end of the day, there were three fire pits but only one worked. When we asked if someone could light the other one, they said no. There was rust on the door frame to the bathroom and no microwave in the room.

Your 4 o’clock check is too late. It being that late you have too many people trying to come in at one time. Your check in hours need to be longer to decrease the amount of people trying to come into your facility at one time. It’s not the employees fault. You have so many people coming in. They have so many questions that just takes up so much time. If the process would start early in the day, I believe it would cut down on the hectic check-in. Other than that, our stay was very good!👍

The cottage was very clean on the inside. The outside could use renovating. Brian in Cason's Tap House was fantastic as usual. His food, drink and dessert selections were right on point and his honest opinions were appreciated. He is very friendly and made great suggestions for activities to partake in. The young lady at check in was fast and incredibly friendly. She answered all of our questions and also made great suggestions for activities. I highly recommend seeing the holiday lights and visiting the spa. The massage therapists are wonderful and the salt room is very relaxing. The locker rooms have all the supplies to give yourself a complete facial.

Initially the room seemed great. Lots of space. Private balcony with a lake view and large bathtub. The second night tho, there was a spider and several beetles in the room! The butterfly conservatory was the highlight of the trip along with a group of deer we spotted on the way back. Had a ribeye in the restaurant. I requested medium well, bit received medium. Will be returning for the Christmas lights. Hopefully there wont be any bugs this time. :/

The PEOPLE were fantastic! From Marjorie at the concierge to Sara and Ebony our servers and Ashley at the Spa.
Signage and communication were subpar, we were unable to visit the corn maze or sunflowers, best we could figure you can't go if your staying on property, didn't know the pool was open, no map or directions for getting around property on golf cart.
Room was outdated and overpriced, unpainted parts of ceilings, holes in bedding.
Really wish coffee service was available,.beyond your \"complimentary cup in the room the only other choice was a sit down meal, if they were open, or a 45 minute wait at the coffee shop.
We will be back but don't intend to stay on property.
