A great hotel . We have been traveling to Kaslo for the the past 12 and try to stay in the Kaslo Hotel each time if it is available . It's modern but it's design gives you this feeling that you may have gone back in time . The staff are exceptional and I have to say Frank at the front desk was so very courteous and went out of his way to accommodate us.
We have recommended the hotel to several of our friends and they have enjoyed it immensely . If you have never been to Kaslo put it on your bucket list and if possible stay at the Kaslo Hotel . On another note we met a young lady who served us for a dinner . She moved to Kaslo for the summer from Montreal . She was very polite and gave us great service which we wish to thank her for

The Kaslo Hotel is a beautiful place to stay. We've never been disappointed. When we are traveling it's at the top of our list of where to stay.
Eat at their restaurant! The food is fabulous and the bartender, Jace, is another reason to belly up to the bar. ❤️

The room was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The staff was extremely friendly and offered a free upgrade to a lake view room which was a pleasant surprise and very much appreciated.
Having a restaurant in the hotel was very convenient making it easy to enjoy dinner without having to drive somewhere else.
Highly recommend for your stay in Kaslo!

A/C effective. Parking limited but OK. Very clean.
Our single disappointment was we were not allowed access to the balcony right outside our room. We had a locked door to it but our key didn't work. Front desk just told us we were not allowed to use it but gave no excuse.

Hi Thanks for reaching out. This was our first time in Kaslo and didn't know what to expect. We very much enjoyed our stay and were grateful for the upgraded room and $20 food and drink credit provided by Mike at check in. We were pleasantly surprised by the room and very much enjoyed the meal in the Wayback restaurant that evening. We were somewhat disappointed by our checkout experience however as the desk agent Ryan had difficulty in printing out a finalized receipt for us. We wanted to confirm everything was correct as the $20 credit failed to be applied and it also appeared that the price of an upgraded room was applied as well. As the manager was in a meeting we were forced to delay our departure by 45 minutes to an hour until this was sorted out. I don't want to single out Ryan as I believe to be a training issue and want to emphasize he was composed despite the stressful situation.

The Kaslo Hotel has been nicely restored. The rooms are well appointed. The Staff are very friendly. We stayed in room 210, and were a bit startled with the sound of the elevator rumbling near our room. but since there weren't a lot of folks using the elevator, it wasn't really a big issue. Asking for rooms on the river side might eliminate that issue.
Other than that, our room had a nice balcony and was very nice.

Our stay in Kaslo at the Kaslo hotel was our favorite stop while road-tripping the Selkirk Loop. Kaslo is not part of the Loop but it was well worth the detour. The hotel has the best view of the Lake and the restaurant at the hotel was top notch. Rooms are clean, spacious with great amenities and the views are incredible! Our room had a wrap around deck that we enjoyed relaxing on. Best place we stayed!

I love the Kaslo Hotel. It has incredible views - choose from mountain/street side or the lake (and mountains). You can't really lose. The restaurant is great and we ate there twice in 24 hours to try out their new breakfast service. Perfectly prepared both times. The gentleman at the front desk greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home. He also arranged for us the last reservation of the day for the big hot tub that you can book. We only had one night as we were coming through on a motorcycle road trip but will definitely be back.

The pictures posted on both websites of the Expedia and Kaslo Hotel, show that the King Room with Lakeview is on the upper floor(s) with good view of the lake.
When checked in, we were surprised to find out that our King room is located on the main (ground) floor instead of the upper 2nd or 3rd floors.
It is the only one guest room adjacent to the restaurant kitchen, and the balcony (patio) of our room is facing directly to a large propane tank and the utility box.   The lake view is at eye level instead of overlooking the lake.  The guest room is separated by the exterior door that we didn't hear sounds from the kitchen.  But quite often, we bumped into kitchen staff when we walked in/out of the guest room.  There is another guest room next to us but is now being used as an office.
The attached pictures should show the location of our guest room and the obstructed view which is different from the pictures advertised on the booking.
As I paid for the full published price for the 2 nights,  I didn't expect that we were given the most \"neglected\" room in this hotel.  I had asked to speak to their manager to voice my concern but don't think my message is ever delivered to the manager.

I had investigated this matter with Expedia and appreciated the efforts of their customer services to reach out to the hotel for my concern. Hope my honest reviews will bring attention to Kaslo Hotel to make changes in their booking for Expedia's customers.

What a fun stay. This old hotel has been made modern. We loved our stay, sad we had to get back on the road.

This hotel is beautifully renovated with large rooms that have lovely detailing like large windows and crown moulding.
The downfall was the condition of the carpet in our room. There were many stains and it was quite dirty.
We enjoyed the restaurant as well As the patio

First Time in Kaslo

First time in Kaslo. Front desk personnel was very helpful and the room was wonderful, clean, and quiet. Larger size hotel style fridge was also a welcome surprise. I hope to come back for a better look around the city and surroundings.

Beautiful hotel, mediocre rooms

Such a great location and beautiful hotel! The rooms however could use an upgrade to be at the same level of the rest of the hotel. The room was large and should have had a king size bed. Only one bedside table and lamp was very inconvenient and the pillows were in a word, garbage. I would definitely stay again and hope to see some room upgrades.

Wonderful stay!

Frank checked us in and made us feel welcomed. The room was very comfortable, ample parking and the restaurant was perfect. This has been a favorite getaway of ours for years now. Love it!
