Very friendly and helpful staff. The beds are very comfortable. Breakfast was fresh and delicious.
The hotel is a few minutes walk to Notre Dame and easy access to the sites in the Latin Quarter and the Marais district.
At. Severin church right across from the hotel is worth a visit.
There are lots of wonderful restaurants in the area. Odettes is a few minutes walk if you wish to enjoy their delicious cream puffs

Room was clean and staff friendly but surely hotel could have provided a more decent piece of soap for the price paid, and some fruits and/or salads etc for the full breakfast which was somewhat pathetic.
Hotel wanted to charge for the bottle of water in the room (which was not in the fridge with other chargeable drinks) which I feel not right and which I’m sure many guests may have unknowingly thought was included in the room.

The hotel is in an excellent location but very touristy. We had a fourth floor room which was small but had an excellent view of the church across the street, and a peek a boo view of the Eiffel Tower, room 402. Breakfast was alright but nothing to write home about.

One disappointing thing was the front door/lobby staff. The young lady who assisted was amazing and helpful, the second older lady was continually rude and inhospitable every time we had to enter or leave the hotel. If you are going to work the front door there is a level of customer service which is expected, possibly the worst host we have ever encountered. A simple hello or goodbye goes a long way, and if someone asks for toilet paper do not interrogate them about why it is needed.

The hotel is conveniently located and has a lovely view of a gothic church. The staff was exceptional (especially the night desk managers.)The room was clean and relatively spacious with plenty of room around the twin beds. The shower had wonderful water pressure and hot water. Also wonderful was the sweet lobby. We will absolutely stay again.

The location is fantastic and right in the heart of the latin quarter. Service was very friendly and although we didn't have breakfast whilst waiting for my friend to get ready the lovely lady at the front desk brought me over a coffee and a croissant. The hotel itself is small and not the most modern but it's well taken care of and to be in that part of Paris it was hard to beat.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location was excellent, with convenient access to many popular tourist attractions. The reception staff were courteous and welcoming, and kindly offered our children some Halloween treats, which they truly enjoyed.
Our room was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with plenty of storage space, making it easy to organize our belongings. We would be pleased to stay here again on a future visit.

Ten to the Pantheon. RER B two minutes away taking you direct to PCDG. RER B and metro one minute walk. Lots of restaurants nearby. I didn’t have breakfast so can’t make comment on that. Only slight negative is that perhaps it is now at a point that a paint refresh is required but this didn’t detract from all of the above. Would definitely stay there again.

I absolutely loved my stay here! It was in a perfect area of town- close to the metro for far out adventures and close to many local things for walkable tourist activities. The breakfast was delicious with a nice continental variety. All the staff I encountered were absolutely so wonderful and hospitable. My voltage convertor broke on my way to Paris and they had one I was able to borrow during my stay which was much appreciated. The hotel itself was clean, the bed was comfortable, and I loved being able to open the window to let the cool air in and hear the bells of Notre Dame. This will be my top pick of hotel if I return to Paris in the future!

We were fortunate to stay here for 4 days in October. The hotel was small and quaint which we appreciated. The room as a decent size (for a European hotel), beds were comfortable and wi-fi worked really well. The bathroom could use some updating as there was a cracked floor tile and only 1 of the toilet flush buttons worked - but there was always hot water and great water pressure. We got a deal that the included the breakfast - it was tasty, fresh and convenient to have avail.

This is my 5th stay here. It is a small boutique hotel (don’t expect large American Style rooms) in the very heart of St Michel / Notre Dame … minutes from the Metro & Notre Dame Cathedral … & a direct line to CDG Airport … convenience at it’s very best. Oh & did I mention the staff are wonderful & all very helpful?

Checked in and we were very disappointed at the room. Small window, no outlook, very small both bed area and bathroom. Asked at reception if we could be moved. Advised as booking made not long ago we had been given this room so feel it was one of the worst. We were kindly moved the following morning. Night and day! Moved to a lovely room. 2 double windows to the street front with amazing church view. Large bright room, so lovely.
Advice would be to check allocated room and ask for room with view if possible. Absolutely fantastic area and location. Safe friendly

Having booked a night for the assurance of a good sleeping experience, i was gutted to experience loud, thrumming sounds coming from the wall seemingly related to the air conditionning (which was not on) every ten to twenty minutes.

The night staff, albeit being agreeable and attempting to fix the issue, was unable to fix it after half an hour, and had no solution for me, forcing me to experience this all night, resulting in terrible sleep.

Additionally, some of the room's facilities were unclean and others in poor condition, such as the glass provided in the bathroom with traces of previous clients, or parts of the rug wall being loose enough to snag into.

That, in addition to the general awkward layout and tightness of the space did not make for an experience nearly worth it's price comfort-wise.

Finally, i found a fire security door in the room that was propped open with a wooden wedge, despite the door explicitly indicating it should never be stuck open in such a way to slow any eventual fire's spread if an alarm were to trigger.

In conclusion, my experience was very disagreeable and a massive let down in light of it's price point.

$300 will fetch you 21 hours (don't even try early check-in. The lobby was absolutely full of luggage to confirm we were not the only ones denied - and we arrived after 1pm) in a room with a view of an enclosed walled vestibule with *no wifi* (staff were dismissive it was just *my* phone - although I had wifi everywhere in the hotel EXCEPT in my room- and my phone worked in 5 other hotels all over Europe), and arrogant, rude staff who couldn't seem to care less about our experience. Included amenities? Shampoo. Period. Full stop. And a toilet that ran all night. We traveled to six different countries on this trip. This was, by far, the most disappointing stay we encountered. Don't bother complaining to the Director - she was the most rude and dismissive of the bunch. Paris was stunning. This hotel was a rotten tomato in our experience. For the price point, you can do better. In hindsight - I really wish we had walked out and found another hotel.

Great location, great staff, compact clean rooms

This hotel is amazingly well situated, less than 5 minutes from the front of Notre Dame Cathedral. There are good local amentiies for food and snacks. The hotel is on several floors, we were on the 5th floor and I was glad the lift worked! Our room was compact but had everything we needed for one night. Comfy twin beds and a very satisfactory bathroom. The view was over the back of other buildings but sheer blinds meant light was good and the view did not distract. We had no noise from anyone else, heard a few footsteps outside the door a couple of times not nothing travelled further than that.
We didn't have breakfast so can't comment.
Staff were exceptional, happy to speak English (which was a relief as my French was rusty!) and extremely helpful. We arrived early and they stored our bags and did the same for us the next day when we had to leave. We were able to use a bathroom downstairs when we arrived to change and get ready to explore Paris.
St Michel and Cluny Sorbonne metro stations nearby.
It was around 50mins from CDG airport on the RER B line, 13Euros each, and just a few mins walk from the station to the front door. Loads of places to eat, small shop next door open late where we bought cold bottled water.
It was just what we needed and the location was superb.
Travelled with my teenage daughter and felt safe. Would recommend and stay again.

Hôtel was situated in a great location. We did have to go up/down a few steps to get to our room from the elevator - just FYI for those with heavy luggage. But some rooms were accessible without stairs. Room was clean and spacious for me and my two teenage daughters. The A/C worked extremely well, which we were thankful for as it was very hot and humid in Paris while we were there. Our only complaint is that the WiFi was very very spotty. It would disconnect frequently. Besides that, no other issues and we had a very pleasant stay.

Family Stay at a wonderful boutique hotel!

I would consider this a boutique hotel. We reserved 2 double rooms, one with a street view. Rooms are small but very comfortable. There is a desk, small refrigerator, and a place to put your clothes including hangars. The bathroom is also small but great lighting. The room had excellent lighting and we could open the windows overlooking the street! Added bonus: air conditioning!

The lady that checked us in was great! Both mornings she gave my grandson croissants from the kitchen! She was so friendly and accommodating!

Will definitely stay here again! It’s also an easy maybe 5 minute walk right across the Seine River to the Notre Dame!

Misrepresentation of amenities

The room we reserved that was a triple and advertised with a city view. There was a view of a run down courtyard. I mentioned this to the staff and they said you had to specify you wanted the view. This was false advertising on your hotels.com site. The room was not ready but we got their early
and there was no where to sit in the lobby.
The staff was nice and hotel was centrally located. Those were the positives.

Quick trip to Paris. Amazing location. Staff was excellent. The decor of the room was worn out. It didn’t reflect the pictures at all. It was dated and the carpet needs to be replaced. The AC was poor. Pairs was 81 that day and there was no air movement in the room even with the fan on high.

The hotel is far from new,and the rooms are a bit tight-but the location is fantastic as is the staff,which makes up for the smallish room.
To be fair,it’s a typically sized room for Europe,but we had been in Portugal prior to going to Paris and had a large apartment,so we were spoiled.

I'm not used to staying at boutique/local hotels, and I had a lot of concern about doing so, particularly for such a long trip (11 days). Thankfully, my stay at Hotel Henri IV was fantastic for many reasons that I'd like to highlight:
1. The location is incredible. The hotel is in the midst of dozens of restaurants, bakeries, bars, and souvenir shops. There are multiple metros within a 5 minute walk: #10 (goes to Roland Garros, for example), RER B (goes to Charles de Gaulle airport), and RER A (goes to Eiffel Tower).
2. The room is equipped with well-functioning air conditioning (not common in France).
3. Housekeeping was very friendly, cleaning the room daily.
4. There is an elevator to get you and your luggage up to your room.
5. The front desk members are incredibly friendly, offering to look up restaurants or location recommendations. They also look after your key while you're out of the room (the keys are traditional heavy keys).
6. There is a working refrigerator in the room, easy to store water or other drinks purchased from next door convenience stores.
7. The bed is very comfortable, with ample power outlets on either side.

We had 3 women traveling so wanted to be close to Notre Dame and the hop on and off bus but we didn’t expect hookers at the front door when we left at 4 am! One of the female front desk clerks wasn’t amicable but everyone else was.

Gem near Notre Dame

We highly recommend staying at this hotel. We were in a 6th floor triple bed room with stunning views and a small terrace.

Samba, the front desk concierge was excellent and took great care of all our needs. He represented the hotel very well. We look forward to another stay and the amazing service Samba provided.
