A lovely room with a firm mattress, ample couch, TV, mini-bar (where we could store a few groceries). Great shower, nice decor, lovely view of the park. The staff is incredibly friendly and speaks English (but will also let you practice your German). Located 20 minute walk from the Bahnhof/Bus station. One special note: because we had the early tour at Neuschwanstein, we had to be at the bus station long before breakfast was available (it starts at 8a, and the bus leaves at 7:25). While the staff couldn't make an early breakfast, instead they made us up a to-go box of very ample proportions! In all, the nicest place we have stayed on our trip.

One walker's hint to get there: if you walk through the Aldstadt to St Mang's, and then walk along the river, you don't have to go over the hill to get to the Parkhotel.

Large rooms decorated in a rather quaint style but clean and comfortable. The hotel is located in Bad Faulenbach which is a adjacent to the town of Fussen. The area is beautiful with views of the Tyrol and lots of scenic walking and biking trails. The local restaurants were excellent and reasonably priced. The breakfast at the hotel is very good with lots of choice.

Lovely big room with balcony and park views. Street parking just outside hotel. Very reasonable for just 2 euros for 24 hours. 10 minute walk to town. Area felt safe. Beautiful castles just a short drive away. We were in the area for 2 nights. Dining experiences were mixed, one awful and one fantastic.

This was a nice, small hotel. It was very quiet and our room was awesome, with a lovely balcony overlooking the mountain scenery. The breakfast included was great and nice to have a restaurant on site for lunch. The staff was helpful (except for on grumpy one on check out!) We would stay again!

On arrival we were advised by the manager of all the facilities and then shown to our spacious room.
To use the spa need to request an hour in advance for it to be heated. For the size of the hotel the spa area is exceptional.
Breakfast was very good, with the usual limitless supply of breads, cheeses, meats, sausages and eggs. The machine coffee was very good.
Fussen is 10 minutes walk away by a riverside path, most of which is pedestrianised.
December is a great time to visit.

I found the hotel to be centrally located, which gave us access to visit the town by foot. very near to a grocery store, all restaurants near by and no need to take your car.

it was close to the town, hiking trail and at night so very peaceful

the hotels offers a very nice buffet breakfast. with lots of good choices for everyone.

Pleasant experience in a cozy vibe

Nice room, friendly, helpful relaxed staff, good breakfast, had a wonderful stay! The place hade almost family type vibe to it, but was still quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended! Only drawback was staff (except receptionist) spoke limited English, and the receptionist had to be called to the desk.

Very pretty location with lakes very nearby. Lechfall is a short walk away. Town is a little further but only takes approx. 15-20 mins to walk and has a good choice of restaurants. Very quiet surroundings. Good breakfast and dining area with outside section. Comfortable bed and good shower.

Romantic hotel and area

Loved our toom at Parkhotel Bad Faulenbach. Spacious, romantic room with balcony and gorgeous view. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. Location was good, 10 minute easy walk into Fussen, although you will need a taxi when you first arrive as the hill would be difficult to navigate with luggage. Beautiful, leisurely walks all around this hotel and into Fussen. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

DELIGHTFUL HOTEL

We stayed here for two nights. The staff were pleasant & polite and the rooms were clean and a good size. No AC but that did not affect us even though it was hot weather. Breakfast was good (fruit, cereals, meat, cheese, scrambled eggs, bacon etc) and was served in a lovely restaurant. There is also a lovely patio area and we enjoyed afternoon drinks bathed in sunshine. They also offer a free sauna facility and we made use of this during our stay. The hotel is a outside of Fussen but the old town is easily reached by a very pleasant 15 minute stroll. Ideal base for visiting Ludwigs Castles. Would recommend.

Wonderful local hotel

From the welcome fruit plate to the breakfast box made up for us because our train meant leaving before breakfast began, this hotel was special. It is not a fancy hotel, but it is comfortable. Location is on a walking path only a ten minute walk from the town center. The staff is accommodating and friendly We enjoyed the restaurant. The beds were comfortable and the room is a good size. There is no air-conditioning, but the door in your room can be tilted open to let the cool air in. If you are looking for a quaint, local hotel - this is the one.

Nice decorum, quiet place, but can hear others tak

The hosts were nice, however, none of them speak much English, we do not speak German. The lady made us leave our car there and walk to Fussen station where we had to take a bus (for a fee) to go to the castles. We could have driven. The lady who checked us in did speak some English to be able to check in.
Breakfast was good. many items to choose from and fresh.

One bad experience was that there were few mosquitoes in the room, really scared.

Good hotel to visit the castles

Very serene surroundings with a park right in front of hotel. The hotel room was very old fashioned. However, the bedding was comfortable. The bathroom amenities were from the dark ages !!! We reached late in the evening and no one is available at the reception desk. The rooms are spread over 3 floors but poorly numbered. So it's difficult to figure out on which floor your room is initially, especially if you arrive late. The breakfast was pretty good and was included. It was a 10 minutes walk to the city center which was refreshing.

Old school comfort

The hotel was nice albeit a bit old fashioned. The room we stayed had two single beds which were in their own frame and pushed together. The beds were comfortable but if you wanted to sleep next to your partner, then it was not possible. The room was big with a sitting area and a little deck to the garden but we could not figure out the latch to slide the door to the deck. I figured it may not have been in working order because we were able to figure it out in other hotels. We did not contact the hotel because we were always on the go so it was not important. The shower door was not sealed when you showered the floor next to the tub got soaked. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices and many regional foods. We did not use the spa because it was closed on Monday. Again no issues we went to a spa in the area for some r &r. One bad point was there was very poor wifi. It was difficult to sign on and very slow if you went back to your room. Overall the hotel and staff were very nice. If you are looking for a a hotel that is very modern you might be disappointed. When I travel I am usually only in the room to sleep and it was quiet. I would stay there again

Absolutely lovely neighbourhood. A few minutes walk further than some other hotels from the train station, but definitely worth it. It was very homey and the breakfast spread was fabulous. There isn't always someone at the front desk, and not everyone who works there speaks English, but they bend over backwards to help. Definitely check it out.

Great Hotel in a Great Location

This was a beautiful hotel in a wonderful location. It was hot during our stay, and the only downfall was the lack of air conditioning or even a simple room fan. The hotel staff was warm, welcoming and accommodating. The rooms decor and atmosphere was fabulous, and the location was great. It was a short 10 minute beautiful walk into Fuessen's old town.

The location of this hotel was lovely: quiet, near the river, and across from a park. It was easy to walk into town, and the hotel staff directed us to a nearby bike rental shop. With the bikes, we easily hopped on a biking/walking trail and were able to explore the area, including the castles a short ride away. The breakfast at the hotel was decent, and had a good variety. The only complaint I have is that the pictures make the place look much nicer than it is; it is definitely in need of some overhaul and updates. The property is just a tad rundown, especially the outdoor patio and the hot tub area. The rooms are very dated, which could be cute or quirky if things were spruced up, but instead comes off as tired. Nevertheless, for the location and price, and inclusion of breakfast, it is a good budget hotel. Note that the toiletries offered are basically from 1950 and include only the packets of body wash, so I suggest bringing your own.

Beautiful Manor - charming unique rooms

Amazing breakfast, great staff. I was worried the location would be far from town, but it was a really nice 10 min walk along the river. I saw some readers said the rooms were dated. Yes the room trim, wood and furniture was decades old but it was all very high quality, charming pieces. I would much prefer good quality character décor to brand new cookie cutter synthetic materials off gassing into our room. Front patio was beautiful. The \"spa\" is really just a small hot tub, a nice sitting area and a really nice sauna that would be great in the winter.

Pretty little hotel with great facilities

We (a family of 3 plus a little dog) hired the family suite during the low season. For 2 nights, we had this gorgeous little hotel all to ourselves. The suite we hired (aptly titled \"The Suite\") is spacious enough to fit three people comfortably, and the communal balcony offers great views of the mountains and forests. The suite has a queen bed and a single sofa-bed for children or additional guests. The beds are comfortable, and the bathroom was lovely and clean (shower + bath). The suite itself is made-up of a bedroom plus bathroom plus communal dining area with corner seating. The sofa-bed was situated in the communal dining area. Sadly, there is no dividing door between the communal dining area and bedroom. The room's decoration and furniture is basic, yet clean and pleasant. The breakfast buffet was very satisfying, and offered a range of cold cuts, rolls, yoghurts, cereals, coffee, tea, plus much more. The well maintained communal facilities include a whirlpool, sauna and solarium. The hotel offers a free bus shuttle service to and from Fuessen train station. The hotel is situated amongst other hotels in the tourist district, and is located approx 1.5km away from Fuessen town centre. The staff are all very kind, helpful and professional. I can certainly recommend this great little locality to others, and would not hesitate to stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at Parkhotel. It was a short walk to the train stations 15-20 minutes, even with our luggage. They served a wonderful breakfast, The room was very clean, the view from the balcony was great. We had an issue at check in with our booking, and the staff took care of it within a few minutes. It was a lovely hotel and we would definitely stay here again.

I purchased from Expedia. Upon checking out the hotel staff charged me a higher rate than quoted from Expedia. Also, my receipt from Expedia stated \"all taxes included\" which was not the case according to hotel. Tolle Lage und schönes Hotel

Die Lage ist perfekt, wunderbar ruhig und in wenigen Gehminuten ist man mitten in der Altstadt von Füssen oder an einer der beiden Seen mit Seebad. Auch ein Spaziergang um die Seen sind sehr empfehlenswert. Der Spabereich ist ansprechend und auch das Hotel macht einen ordentlichen Eindruck. Das Frühstückspersonal ausgesprochen freundlich. Leider haben vor einigen Jahren die Eigentümer gewechselt und da gibt es bei den neuen Eigentümern noch ordentlich Potential an Kommunikation, Herzlichkeit und Freundlichkeit...aus dem Grund wurde als einziges der Services mittelmässig bewertet.

O local é muito aprazível, com uma boa recepção, quarto grande, cama boa e ótimo banheiro. Estacionamento fácil e um ótimo cafe da manha. Recomendo muito.

Angenehmer Kurzaufenthalt

Als Ausgangspunkt (kurzer Aufenthalt) für Ausflüge in die nahen Königsschlösser gewählt waren wir zufrieden mit der Qualität von Zimmer und Hotel. Unkomplizierter Check-in, ruhig gelegen, alle nötigen Annehmlichkeiten, inklusive Gratis-Parkplatz hinter dem Haus. Sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis, ordentliches Frühstück.
Nicht in Bewertung eingeflossen die à la carte Abendküche des Restaurants. da war der Koch doch eher ein \"Freund der Friteuse\" - ob bei Cordon-Bleu oder \"gebackenem\" Käse. Aber auch da war der Service freundlich und unaufdringlich.
Wir würden dieses Hotel wieder wählen - auch für einen etwas längeren Aufenthalt.

Echt Duits Hotel

Het hotel is echt Duits met vele tierlantijnen. Het is een beetje gedateerd, maar schoon. Het personeel is vriendelijk en beleefd. De keuken is eenvoudig maar verder prima. Het ontbijt is uitgebreid. De ligging is perfect. Rustig aan het park. Je bent zo in de natuur, maar ook binnen een kwartier wandelen in het dorp.

Wir waren für zwei Nächte im Parkhotel. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Frühstück war ausreichend und gut.

Excelente quarto e em frente a lindo parque

Gostei muito do hotel. Tem algumas coisas a moda antiga, como chave do quarto e do cofre física, ao invés de cartão e senha. Fica a 1 km do centro, mas enfrente a um lindo parque. Só não dei nota máxima no serviço e nas comodidades pois a camareira costumava bater no quarto por volta das 9 horas e a Internet algumas poucas vezes não funcionava adequadamente.
