Killed a cockroach in my first room (1050). The staff offered to change my room which I did. Changed to level 8 and I saw another cockroach at the lvl 8 corridor. Both are baby cockroaches so I would think there are plenty in the hotel since cockroach lays a lot of eggs.

Staff service was ok but not good enough for me to put up with the cockroaches.

Very convenient location. Friendly staff. Perfect choice when touring in Taipei. It would be nicer if they can allow 12:00 pm check-out rather than 11:00 am. Sometimes 1-hour extension makes a big difference.

Excellent location as only 2 mins walk to Ximen station and just opposite Ximending Shopping District. Breakfast has various variety options and the refill is fast. Thot room is small but facility is complete and ease of control. Check-in is less than few mins and Check-out is just seconds.

The room wasn’t clean and the pillow had black dirt marks on it so we asked for a new pillow. They said we had to walk to the lobby ourselves to grab a new one. We also booked a bigger room but they gave us the smallest one. We were too lazy to move all our bags. The room was super tiny and only 1 mirror in the bathroom where the plug didn’t work. The shower head was kind of broken too and kept falling down. The elevators are so hot and stuffy I dreaded going in there.

Also the room had mold around the corners and there was weird black fur balls everywhere. Staff was friendly tho.

At first, I was surprised the rating of this hotel when I booked online. But when I came in, I understand why the rating was what it was. There are only two bottles of water for the first day even though we stayed for 3 days. The laundry hours are from 10am to 10pm. For most people who stay in a hotel, they are out side most of the day time and leverage night time to do laundry. It is not fitting the interest of the guests at all.

Be very careful with this hotel’s front desk.

We arrived early (6:30 AM) after a long flight from the U.S. with 3 kids and asked to pay for early check-in. They charged us $551 for one night, while the normal online price was about $330. This clearly felt like taking advantage of tired travelers.

When we tried to file a complaint, the staff refused to give their full names and hid behind “privacy,” which makes no sense for customer-facing employees.

Things escalated to the point where they even called the police — completely unnecessary and very unprofessional.

Traveling with family should not be treated this way. This was one of the worst hotel service experiences we’ve had.

There was only a table in the room, with no sofa or chairs provided. There was also mould along the edges of the bathtub area. I even spotted a baby cockroach on the wall while waiting for the lift. Overall, the condition and cleanliness of the property were not as good as they used to be.

The room is very dated and has multiple issues, such as the shower that leaks lots of water in to the floor near toilet and the shower door does not close completely. The room smelt very musty as well as the hall way outside. Multiple stains on carpet outside room and not vacuumed once when we were there for four nights. The floor in bedroom is uneven in places. You can definitely hear everyone in their rooms next door. But for me the biggest was the smell and I had hay fever type symptoms while in there. It’s a lot of money for that type of accommodation. On the positives it is very central to subway and shops and eating. Breakfast was good but get there early as it’s like the hunger games. Had not much interaction with staff as they all seemed to be busy or not interested. Seems like the boss man is making a lot of money and skimping on repairs and employment of cleaners.

There was cockroach next to the bed inside the room. I was so scare when sleeping. Also, the concierge charge NT$800 per luggage if we leave it there for storage overnight even we will return to the hotel in 3 days,to stay for another 2 night. We end up needing to take all our luggages to Hualien.

Checked in the same hotel 2 years ago & was good. However this time round was bad:
1. Self service check-in system was not gd.There wasn’t proper queue system and travellers will just hogged on to the check in system although there are ppl who came first . The worst part lack of support as the system gave errors and the staffs weren’t polite.
2. Booked the same room type (family deluxe) except we opted for city view this time. Surprisingly the room appeared smaller than what we had last time. For a family of 5 the room is not very suitable due to lack of space for luggages , lack of hanging in toilet etc . Very different from our experience 2 years ago.
3. There’s mozzie in the room and my kid was bitten badly! I managed to kill it only after 3rd day of stay!
4. Very late and quite horrendous housekeeping. We returned back at 430pm and room wasn’t cleaned up. Told the housekeeping we can only allow them to come after 6 as my kids need to sleep. They just appeared at 5+ insisting to do basic clean up. In front of my eyes, the lady used a cloth to clean the toilet floor and using the same cloth to wipe the vanity top. I stopped her cleaning immediately as it’s too disgusting to view what’s next..
5. Very very run down. The shower head was spoilt with water spraying in different angle. The shower piping was also leaking. The toilet bowl leaked with urine twice and was choked (yes shouldn’t throw toilet paper in but this is so unhygienic!)
Won’t stay here next time.

I stayed one night here after staying at another property close by. The rooms are bigger but the noise level is horrible. My room faced the interior atrium. Someone was drilling loudy between 2-3AM. Also can hear everything in the hallways. I would avoid this place unless you are a heavy sleeper.

這次的入住體驗依然令人讚不絕口。前台Manuel接待到位。房間維持了一貫的乾淨舒適，讓人感到放鬆與安心。
特別值得誇獎的是酒店的早餐，種類豐富、為每一天的行程提供了美好的開始。此外，服務人員的表現更是讓人感動。楊怡欣服務生的態度非常周到且有禮貌，總是面帶微笑，讓人感受到賓至如歸的溫暖。我的肩膀疼痛，她也非常熱心的提供各種幫助，包括醫院地址，止痛藥膏和貼布，真的太感動了。而領班王巧馨也非常負責，忙前忙後地確保每一位客人的需求得到滿足，讓人印象深刻。

我和先生對這次的住宿體驗非常滿意，未來只要到台北，德立莊酒店絕對是我們的首選。強烈推薦給所有計劃來台北旅遊或出差的朋友！

A bit outdated hotel and not flexible in extending even for an hour late check out. Provide only one time 2 bottles of water per stay even though you may stay in the hotel for a week. I wonder how much will 2 bottles of water cost the hotel. Next trip to Taiwan I will chose another better more flexible hotel to stay in

The hotel is very small — there’s barely any space for luggage, so you have to keep everything packed up just to be able to get to the other side. The restroom is cramped, and honestly, everything feels tiny. Lowest AC is 24°C, they don’t go lower than this. You’ll likely bump into the edge of the bed more than once (and it hurts).

Front desk staff were not helpful and didn’t offer any assistance during the stay.

The only positive is the nice location.

I’d like to preface that my family and I stayed at the Midtown Richardson in Kaohsiung for 9 days prior to checking into this one in Taipei for 5 days.
