The staff and the food were amazing. The included breakfast was fabulous and all meals were beautifully cooked and presented.

The only downside was that the location was on a very busy street with a lot of traffic. No interesting shops nearby.

The very clean pool was an added plus.

This hotel exceeded our expectations! All the staff made our stay perfect in all regards. A big thank you to Sherife who really helped us to catch the ferry to Zanzibar. I don’t think we could have managed without her assistance. We’re from Australia and travelling the world on bicycles so very grateful for that. The food was outstanding and catered for my dietary requirements with no problem. Highly recommend staying here!

Took me a bit to figure out hot water, but it was then reliable. Restaurant at hotel served delicious food (Indian). Staff was accommodating when I had made a mistake in my reservation. Road construction on the street made transportation a bit tricky but was able to manage.

This is my spot whenever I am in Dar Es Salaam. Every vacation I stay in this hotel like 3 or 4 times in a month cos I travel to other places from here. Hospitality was great and staffs are the best thanks Yovan for always putting smiles on us.. CBD has been one of my main Hotel Spots whenever my fiance and I visit Dar Es Salaam. The food is great and the staffs are wonderful. Flying from Houston, Texas to Tanzania one place I spent more time before going to Zanzibar or South Africa or Kenya is CBD in Dar Es Salaam. I stayed in this hotel 3 different times in one month during my one month vacation away from America. very clean and great hospitality. House keepers are the best. I highly recommend it for anyone travelling to Dar Es Salaam. I love CBD and will always stay here when I visit Dar Es Salaam again. And again.

I had a great stay. The hotel was clean. Everything was in good condition. The staff was awesome. The hotel is not far from the airport. If you wish to travel to Zanzibar, the hotel is in close proximity to the seaport. I recommend it to anyone.

Location is really noisy, on one side busy dusty road and other side lot of construction work of overbridge. Cant dare to keep windows open. Room cleanliness bit issue as found small cockroaches roaming in the room. Wifi very slow, almost impossible to work.

I liked that this hotel had a restaurant on the premises. The staff were very friendly and courteous. The pool and outdoor lounge offer a perfect place for relaxition. There is also a spa in the hotel. Aside from the construction in the area, this is a great place to stay. It is close to the airport and the City Center The hotel offers free WiFi.

I highly recommend this hotel CBD to anyone coming to Da Es Salaam. From Houston, Texas CBD was my home for like almost a week. Stayed here before taking a trip to Dubai and came back stayed at CBD again. The staff are the best and the restaurant is great and good food. Very clean hotel.. The hotel is very kool and not too much traffic and you get to have a good quality private time at the patios. Gonna stay here 3 different times this month of February .. CBD is gonna be my main spot when I visit Tanzania / Da Es Salaam

Room had a faint musk smell and surfaces were not very clean. They tried to put us in a room below what we paid, but once we complained, they moved us to a slightly better room. Had Indian Cusine dinner which was good. Not much more options for dining in the neighborhood. Noisy dirty dusty main road.

I loved the proximity to airport and ferry. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was quite hearty. The only negative is the bathroom didn’t have enough towels. Only I bath towel and when I asked for more they brought 1 bath and said they had no hand towels. Overall a nice place for a one night layover.

Old hotel. Water in the shower does not drain well and water fills up. Hotel lobby is super hot. AC does not work at all in the lobby. Restaurant sells cakes and pastries 5 days old for the same price as if it's fresh. They are so old, dry and smell chemicals. Staff started cleaning lobby snd restaurant in the morning with chemicals and those chemicals, the smell of them can be tasted in food as well. Horrible. The other misleading info hotel does is advertise half board or full board and when you book you assume meals included. But the catch is you have to spend no more then fifteen dollars per person for either lunch or dinner, and if you went over the price cap you have to pay difference. It's something that CBD hotel does not enclose in booking. It is Indian owned and operated hotel/restaurant and attention to details is zero

I had a disappointing experience at this hotel. Despite booking for half board, I was repeatedly informed that I would have to pay extra if I spent more than £15 a day. However, the prices on the menu were already higher than that amount, which made me feel like they were engaging in unethical practices by misleading customers.

The hotel itself is quite old and in need of renovation. The swimming pool was in a terrible condition, and the location was noisy and dusty. The food at the restaurant often tasted off and even made me sick. Additionally, the hotel is not conveniently located near any attractions or amenities. Rooms are extremely small with minimal amenities. TV most of the times not working so is the air conditioning. Too many smokers and the whole places smells of smoke. Overall, I do not believe this hotel deserves its claimed four-star rating.

My stay at CDD was very good! When I arrived, my non-smoking room smelled of smoke, so I alerted the staff and was moved immediately to a fresh smelling room. One of the staff members escorted me up and set up my television and air conditioning. His name is Edie. Everyone was so kind and helpful, including the bartender. The room was spotless, and the food was delicious. I would definitely return.

I didnt complain because i was only staying 2 nights. The food was ok. The pool area was nice. Staff were pleasant particularly Yohana and Magdalena. Really nice waitress in the restaurant also. Aisha at the salon was really good. Staff interaction was cirrostratus all times. They all deserved an increase. :)

Nice stay for last minute booking. Great staff.

Stayed at Best Western CBD for 2 nights following a complication with my flight and I needed to quickly book accommodation. Easy to book and very good price. Staff was excellent. The hotel was going through a bit of construction but it didn’t bother my stay too much. The restaurant was also very good and I was able to order to my room easily without issue. Breakfast was limited due to COVID-19 changes which was a bit of a let down.

Hotel is in the CBD & very close to International Airport. I enjoy the city. I like to walk about & shop so just perfect. No taxi needed. Lots of places to eat & close to port. I felt safe & people are very friendly. Hotel staff welcome & friendly. I enjoyed relaxing in pool after long day at work. The food served was mostly indian but i was OK with it. Very tasty. I will stay at hotel again when back in Dec 2019.

I stayed at this property twice, the first time was fine but the second time I had a number of problems, the shower handle was broken meaning the temperature was boiling and I was unable to control, luckily I didn't burn myself, there was also a horrible smell in the bathroom. Eventually they did move me but the room service I ordered in the meantime went to the wrong room, even though I told them 3 times about it, meaning by the time I got it it was cold.
The staff at reception weren't very helpful, charged me the wrong rate for my second visit, didn't order my transfer to the airport and were generally quite disinterested.
Also think charging USD30 for an airport transfer, takes about 15 minutes, is quite extortionate

A good choice

A good value, clean hotel - on the airport side of the city. The public areas were well maintained and the staff friendly and helpful with excellent English skills. The room wasn't large, but very recently renovated and extremely clean and comfortable. The only down side was the prices in the Mumbai Spices restaurant. The food was delicious but drinks and food was very expensive. Overall it was a good option for Dar es Salaam, especially if your just transitting as we were.
