I loved this resort. This was paradise I can only have ever dreamed of and spending my birthday here was very relaxing and peaceful. The housekeeping staff was very friendly, loved hearing “Morning Sir” everyday. The beach was just as beautiful as the pictures show however the jellyfish fish signs should be relocated so they are not hidden by tree branches. Food at the Bamboo Kitchen was delicious and the shuttle driver was great at helping us with directions and alternative transportation

We loved our stay at Dakak resort. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The property was picked up daily, there was always someone available. The grounds show the wear of life on islands with driving wind and rain and mountainous terrain. There was a couple of buildings closed and the walkway along the coast was closed, but there was always signs of revitalization and overcoming natures assault. For a natural vacation with many amenities and staying amongst people with beautiful souls, I highly recommend Dakak beach resort and properties

My biggest issue are the Prawns served in the restaurant. The sauce was burnt and the prawns were overcooked. No spice or flavor at all. Was worse than nursing home food. Should be cooked right or taken off of the menu. I admit that other guests food that I was with their food appeared to be cooked just fine.

Beautiful, safe and clean resort. Stayed for 4 days, 3 nights and was not bored once. The beach is private and very beautiful. The restaurant food was very good and the staff was so friendly. There is a ton of water activity (scuba, boat rental, zip line, kayak, etc...) We rented jet skis and it was so much fun. Also, went golfing which is on the resort. Highly recommend if you're in Dipolog!

This is the most I regretted that I booked this place. The price is expensive but the quality of the place is very poor. Ant’s and cockroaches inside our room. All day and night mosquitoes biting us. We can’t sleep cause constantly a nut fall in the room that make a loud noise even in the middle of the night. WiFi sucks and always have power shortages. Never ever going back in this place

Our family stayed 3 days/4 nights at this resort. The buffet is is exposed to open air so there were many flies feasting on the food. The fruits and the desserts were not covered at all. The other dishes were opened up frequently with no staff paying attention. Lunch was 1500 pp but the lechon is gone and dishes were not replaced. If you go there 1 hr before the buffet closes, you will get the leftover food. There were more fliesrating the food than people. The resort transport called bao bao is sometimes nowhere to be found even after called by another staff. These people will make you walk from their lobby to your room even though they have a transport at the resort. Overall, I gave this resort one star because some of the staffs are nice and understanding of our concern. The manager never called me back after I called 3 times. I went to the lobby to speak to the manager and he was gone for the day at 3 pm.

Rooms are too inconvenient to get to. Steps leading to the prime rooms needs to be fixed. Cracks found on bathroom sink. Plants around need TLC. Overall the place needs total facelifting and not worth the exuberant money you pay.

So communication between reception and myself wasn’t great as regards cost
Children free but thenSuddenly it was under 10 were children. Over 10 was adult !! And they definitely weren’t free
To be honest they can’t do enough for you

What I didn't like was that there was discharge of a foul smelling water coming from the property and going out to the sea at the area where people are bathing. Looked to me like there is a drainage line from the property to the beach burried under the sand. I asked if it came from the waste colllection/treatment plant they have nearby, and they said it doesn't. But the foul smell is suspicious. It happened in Boracay before.

The restaurant quality was so poor…. The food was terrible in same time is so expensive…. The beach resort expensive rate then in real it’s so poor everything inside it….. in that resort one thing was good is the rooms but it’s a resort not hotel ( rooms and lobby ) I advice this resort either they will make the their rates down or develop it so it can match to the prize they ask for the night.

Very nice place to relax. Not too busy, few can afford it. Beach is rather empty, relaxing, not busy like Boracay. I would visit again many times. No doubt. Food is excellent. Service very good. Allowed early check in without any extra fees. Wonderful service and staff. What's not to love? Everybody should vacation here. Seriously. One of the best places I ever visited and I traveled everywhere. Great place no doubt.

The view is amazing.... The price for the room is to much for what you actually get... The room we stayed in is in need of some maintenance... Paint is peeling off the walls, there was a mouse or soming living in the roof area that kept waking my wife and I up all night... Found a crab in the bathroom? Overall the place is amazing, but just needs some updates!

Picturesque but DISSAPOINTING facilities

This is such a picturesque place that the poorly maintained facilities is a major disappointment. The room has crickets and geckos living within the walls. The crickets chirping all night left me getting very little sleep fortunately my fiance can sleep through anything. The facilities are not in good repair/condition. There are many buildings that are in desperate need of repair. They are rotting or have holes in the roof of the walkway around the pool, the jet skiis are very aged, there was exposed wires very near the pool, the comfort room in our room had a pungent odor of decay. When ordering room service prepare to be told the food items they don't have. My fiance and I had to change our order 3 times before we finally was able to order something they had that we could order. The resort wouldn't offer any type of partial refund when our trip had to be abruptly shortened due to COVID-19 and the PH President placing Manila in lockdown. I do have to thank the driver taking us to the airport though for getting us there in short order. They need to make golf carts available to guests to rent to get around especially ones, like me, that have knee and back issues. The steep paths caused so much unnecessary pain.

First night we were stayed at the villa angelina beach front room and it was beautiful then we choose to upgrade to the cliff side room and never regret it. It was astonishingy beautiful. Nice big room with jacuzzi on the balcony.
The staff are kind, helpful and courteous.
Lots of activities to choose. Golf, spa,watersports and mountain activities too.
If you looking for a place were not so many people discovered (like palavan,burakay)...this is the place to go

I actually booked a wheelchair accessible room (according to what I've seen on the rooms description on Expedia) for the purpose of my disabled father.. However the room that was given to us had an 11 quite big steps.. So I do not understand, why lie? How was I supposed to push my father's wheelchair with those steps?

My daughter accidently broke a drinking glass in the room and the made me pay for it. I travel all over the world and never seen any thing so petty and cheap as asking the customer to pay for the 2 dollar glass, be warned, and the ferral cats are everywhere fighting a growning and growling all day and night

We enjoyed our stay here because of the fine, white sand that feels like you're walking on a thick, soft carpet! We also enjoyed the zipline, one of the longest in the Philippines. Word of caution: Be prepared to be isolated to the outside world, as cellphone signal is very poor (works to your advantage if that is your intention for vacationing). The property is so huge ('dakak') with so many specialty restaurants, a golf course, rooms with majestic views, and many more amenities.

I would rate it 3.8. It's still nice but not that super nice. The beach was good as well as the restaurants. Food was excellent. Sad thing for me is thst, for its price, I would have expect to have toiletries such as foot towel, slippers, lotions, conditioners that usually are given by current hotel / resort of the same price range. Overall though, it was still ok.

Night that was raining so hard our bathroom flooded do we got transferred to another cottage unfortunately my husband wedding band was in the bathroom counter by the basket of wash clothes and didn’t pay attention to it until the day we’re leaving and can find the wedding band. We told the people from the resort who accompanied us to the airport but we never heard from them again

Dakak Resort is located in an exotic forest with verdant trees and local flora and fauna, but most of all the beautiful secluded cove where anyone and any age can swim because the waters are calm and gradually deepens which is suitable for all regardless of swimming skills. The cluster C cottages we stayed in looked dated. However I think that added to the charm. All utilities except the WiFi worked for the 2 nights (not surprised if it was the internet vendor's fault) in all 4 units my family occupied. The resto staff was excellent.

Overall it was an AWESOME stay. Would love to stay in Dakak again.

There was a miscommunication between pic up time at the post. We had to wait for an hour before pick up and the staff passed the phone while we were waiting and couldn't even track the driver. There was a rat inside our room who are our food and soap.

However staff were accommodating especially at the resto. Sunday seafood buffet was the best

Room was great. Bamboo Grill Restaurant was very good. Italian Restaurant is not worth going to; food was not very good and too expensive. We went first night we arrived. On the second night, we got Pizza and we were the ONLY people in the restaurant - Tells you something.

The Beach needed a clean up, aqua sports were very expensive they tell you upon check in you can call front desk and they can send you a motor bike if you wanna get around since cottages are far from the pools and beach. No one showed after being told someone was on the way.

The only rooms available we in the older cabins whech are in need of repair / remodeling. Quite often there was no water pressure or hot water. Air conditioning temperature control did not work. The hotel staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. Don't know if handicap units are available but the old cabins are not.
