Warning to anyone with a service animal, know your rights under the Americans with disabilities act. I was told I have to let them know I have a service dog BEFORE arriving.(THAT IS FALSE! )
She told me I must have a certification card that shows my service dog is trained and registered. (THAT IS COMPLETELY FALSE!) The Americans with disabilities act says that a hotel\motel can NOT ask for ANY certification of any kind.
She told me they put people with service animals in specific rooms that they designated for animals. (That is a violation of your rights!)
The ACT says that people with service animals MUST be put in the same rooms as people without service animals.
I'm the 5 minutes that I spoke to her, she violated so many of my rights.
Any of the things she said could be grounds for a lawsuit against them for violating my rights as defined in the Americans with disabilities act.
The next morning when checking out I spoke to the gentleman that owns the motel, and told him what happened, he was much easier to talk to and we discussed what transpired.
Know your rights! Service animals are not pets, they are federally protected medical necessities. Besides that, our stay was great.

Was pleasantly surprised that exactly when they say do not judge a book by its cover. From outside it os nothing special. Once you walk into your room, you go wooo. Everything is updated, comfortable and thoutfull. We will stop here again.

We stayed in a room with a handicapped logo on the door. The shower was not at all suitable for a handicapped person, and not really properly equipped for a fully able person. There was no grab bar for secure standing. We checked out after one day out of four days of our reservation. The inn offered a correctly equipped room for almost double the price we were paying.

Typical roadside motel on the outside. No vibe or atmosphere whatsoever. Rooms were beautiful though. Look like they were just built yesterday and clean as a whistle. Had a lot of difficulty getting our TV to work. It seems the interface with the service they use was not working properly. Didn’t work the first night or the morning of our departure. AC/ Heating unit was difficult to regulate and pretty noisy.

Minimalist surroundings at best. There wasn't even a box of tissues. I suppose I should be happy there was soap and shampoo.

It was nice having a refrigerator -- although the ice build-up in the freezer showed me it hadn't been cleaned in quite a long time.
The noisy heatng unit kept me from having a decent night's sleep however.

Everything about the property, the views and staff were perfect.
The river was stunning and dozens of Canada geese swimming down it made it magical.
The drive around the are was equally stunning and the leaves were changing colors which topped everything off.

We came a weekend away, and had a great time. Check in was easy, the room was great, it was nice to have the fridge and microwave.
I also enjoyed the large bath tub.
Grocery store close by, close to New Milford downtown. We also enjoyed the Hausatonic Brewery nearby.
We had some issues with the TV when we arrived but the lady at the front desk was super helpful and came by right away to address the issue.

The room was nice and large and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom could use a few more hooks or places to hang towels. The shower floor is kind of slippery and there are no bars to grab. We kept having problems with our TV. Someone would have to come in and fix it every time we turned it on. I would have to walk over to the office because the phone didn't work. It was a pain. There were two of us staying in the room and the coffee maker is a Keurig. Only two pods were there and I asked for eight more as we were staying two nights, three mornings. The woman at the desk reluctantly gave them to me, She kept looking at me like I was going to steal them. The wifi connection was nice and strong. It would be nice if there was more then one chair in the room.

Very old furniture, very noisy you could hear other guests talking, everything was just old and not what a person would expect for $200 a night. We got back to the hotel at 1:00am and the key card stopped working had to walk to the office and continuously call and ring the bell to get some one to open the room door for us.

No rocks in Rocky River Inn

I got to Rocky River Inn after a long and stressful day and found a heavenly haven! The Inn is set way back from the street so there is no traffic noise. The room was absolutely IMMACULATE!! The bed was extremely comfortable! The sheets were soft and looked brand new! The bathroom was very well laid out with a great walk in shower! There were plenty of Aveda toiletries! There was a fridge and a microwave! I would LOVE to stay there again and rate it a 10 out of 10. It is also extremely moderate in price, so extraordianarily high value.
