We stayed 3 nights but our room was never cleaned nor the towels changed the complete time of our stay. I would have expected room cleaning at least once and we did put out the room cleaning sign on our door each day but we did not get service

Beautiful view! Golf course looked wonderful.

No place to hang your towel by the shower. No place to put your toiletries. And nothing to blow your nose with except toilet paper that is a very stupid location. Behind your back when on the throne.

Pleasant setting in Balfour

Pleasant stay between Nelson and Kaslo. The hotel offers lake views on the opposite side of the lake but elevated for viewing. Nice balcony areas. Hotel is more rustic and quiet but clean rooms, free continental breakfast. More of a lodge than a resort. Golf course associated with it that has a small but tasty restaurant with more elevated options than expected.

Wonderful Lake Kootenay View

Beautiful view of Lake Kootenay. Loved watching the ferry run back and forth across Lake Kootenay. The Ferry is Free, walk on and ride back for a free one hour Lake Kootenay Cruse.

Jesse was working the day of our arrival. He called to let me know the storm had taken out the power. Told us not to rush. When we arrived the power was still out but we had backup fobs to get into the room. It was clean and well laid out. Power came back on and all was great. Beautiful property. I would say Jesse went above regular customer service to make sure we were okay and happy.

Facility is quite isolated, and the room are definitely not 3.5 stars as shown on booking sites. The view is amazing, and the staff are friendly. The breakfast is very limited. There are limited dining options with 15 minutes of this hotel and everything including the minimarket closes at 8 pm.

The resort itself is awesome with beautiful views and friendly staff. Short drive to the golf course which is also excellent with good food. The only issue is limited options for eating out, other than that it's a great place to unwind for a few nights.

The cost is for high end hotel, but in really is high end motel. Pictures of the rooms are not correct, breakfast is really poor for such cost. In reality I would pay 100$ a night not 200$ or 300$.. No way that to cost over 300$ for nothing to do place. Very disappointed and for sure never will come back

Short getaway

Nice hotel that was not well marked in the main road. The computer systems were down at checkin and there was not front desk attendant around.

Rooms are nice but very bright in the morning. The hot tub was small (6 person) which seemed small for a resort.

The beds/ bedding were excellent and the AC units worked very well.

The place is peaceful, quite, and safe.
The guest building is on a hill side and has a lake view, enjoying morning coffee while watching ferry running in the lake with peaceful scenic view.
Two to three minutes drive to ferry gate for free ride ferry to and from Kootenay! Love it.
About ten minutes drive to Ainsworth Hot Springs Resort and east for enjoying hot spring water and hot springs cave.
I will say this resort is worth to stay!

Beautiful, serene place to stay. We walked to the clubhouse and had the most delicious breakfast and very fair priced. They offered a continental breakfast, as well. Rooms were pretty clean. Lamps need dusting and there were hairs in the bath tub that didn’t belong to us. Beds are super comfy and the view is spectacular. I would most definitely stay here again! It’s a define retreat.

We planned our last minute family trip to Ainsworth and booked this resort. The staff was friendly, the room was in great condition, cleanliness was up to the mark. The bonus of this resort was complimentary breakfast and Spa (hot-tub) that we enjoyed. We will definitely come back here again.

Beautiful lobby and our room was quite attractive, clean and comfortable. There was significant snow overnight and the manager was very kind and concerned for our safety. She shoveled by hand those places we walked. We did have a microwave in the room. Lobby is a separate building and is spacious with
multiple tables and chairs and a simple continental breakfast. All within the walls of a clean, fragrant ten year old log cabin building which equals that in Glacier Park. It has so many windows which enhanced the wintry view. The well kept condition
of the facilities reflect how well they are loved.
I would definitely return.

A Great Overnight Stop

We arrived very much in the off season but all the facilities we needed for our one night stay available.
On arrival our check-in with Anook was straightforward and delightful whilst breakfast and check-out with Jesse was also enjoyable- both were friendly and gave us the feeling of being valued guests.
The room was clean, comfortable and gave a wonderful view of the lake. Parking was great - within 10 paces of our room so transferring luggage was easy.
The sort of place you'd wish you could stay a bit longer.
