Great for what it is. Older Hotel/Motel for a good price.
Hot water, shower is good, bed was comfortable, TV Channels are limited but if I wanted to watch Netflix, etc I can use my laptop. Would be nice if the Restaurant was actually open. Very limited to food choices while in Blue River. Better pack the food you need.

The premise needs some TLC. There was liter all over the place on and around the property including industrial waste and random chairs and chemical barrels in the adjacent woods. The room was clean but the bathroom was worn down and dated. Even the competitive price does not make up for the visual appearance.

Looked rough. Needs renovations. Door casing was ripped off the wall and never replaced. Appeared that the door had been kicked in and no safety lock on the door. Had to stuff a chsorvunder the door knob.

Booked online. Room was 14⁰c when we got there. Took forever to warm up.

No amenities. No pop machines. Had to go to the PetroCanada for somethibg to eat before 9pm when it closed.

Bed was comfortable.

Unexpectedly needed to stop for the night in Blue River and had a wonderful stay! The lady at the front desk was an absolute delight, a ray of sunshine and so helpful. They accomodated my cat and we had a lovely stay! If I ever am in Blue River again, I will stay here again.

No indication the restaurant was closed for a month, with food services being \"down the road\" at a food truck. Large icicles directly above parking area making it impossible to safely leave vehicle just outside the door. Compared to hotel booked for 3 nights was considerably cheaper. Lack of staff fir extended hours was worrisome if something went wrong in the unit.

Room was somewhat rundown with dirt in corners, chair was warn, baseboards were damaged and no freezer in the fridge. The rate was overpriced compared to similar motels in other communities On the positive side the shower was nice, bed linens nice and the heat was easy to adjust.

It’s a convenient place if one is travelling and just need a bed. Room was clean, friendly staff. One minor detail is that the credit card charge for “”incidentals” takes to long to be released back to the card. It was supposed to be on the morning of check out, now 10 days later it’s still a pending charge.

In all honesty, I expected better for what I paid. There were some good things. The bedding and towels were clean. The shower worked nicely and the little sink area was convenient and cute. But the fan in the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been clean in years. The light fixture in the bathroom had dead bugs in it. The bathroom needs to be renovated. The bed was very uncomfortable. You good feel the springs from the mattress. It also didn’t look like the carpet was vacuumed. The tv was low quality as well. When I was checked in, the service was great. When I was checked out, I was barely spoken to and was not confident leaving that they had even checked me out properly.
My overall opinion is it needs to be renovated and updated with higher cleaning standards. The bed and tv are extremely important when you are staying in a room and both were not good.

The room was just what we needed for overnight stop driving back from Banff to Vancouver via Jasper. The added bonus of the restaurant was great and the food was really nice. The bed was very comfortable and the only negative was the TV, which had a really poor reception and picture quality, which was surprising because the WiFi was good.

Rooms and the whole hotel BADLY need update. Corners of rooms need cleaning. Notice on parking lot says not to leave valuables in vehicles. We've had our vehicle almost 3 years and never heard our alarm - till 3 times in one night staying here. Have to assume someone was trying to get into it. Play it safe, people. Next time we would pay more to stay somewhere else.

Our first room was like a smoke pit - heavy smoke odour even though a 'non smoking' property. Smoking ash tray was 3 feet from the door. Moved to a 2nd room and it was, disgustingly dirty. Neither room was similar to the photos shown on Hotels.com, in any way. We did not stay and left to find another property. Extremely disappointing for a Sandman branded property.

Staff member at the front desk was very helpful The price did not reflect the quality of the room. I booked a kitchenette and was surprised to find that there was no dish soap although I went to the desk and was quickly given some. There was no sink stopper and I was told that none existed. The power in our room failed. A call to the office and it was restored. This hotel is not cleaned to my idea of cleanliness and the hotel seems to be deteriorating. Over priced!

First time staying at this hotel. The front desk staff were super friendly. We arrived early and only had to wait 5 min for us to get into a room. Had supper at the restaurant at was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was for a small place. The staff at the restaurant was also super friendly. I forgot my purse in the restaurant and our server had safely placed it behind the counter until we came back for it. The stay here was good.

The bed was clean and bathroom clean. Carpets were dirty with obvious spilt and dried (?) on it. Window sills dirty with no screen when opening to allow fresh air in. Wine bottle and beer cans on property near our room. Unkempt dumpster across from our room entrance. Battery operated smoke detector went off at 4:30 in the morning. Not a pace I would return to.

A good hotel on the main road in the middle of nowhere, very quiet and peaceful with a nice restaurant attached. Great service from all the staff but the room we were in could do with a little uplift, nothing major just a stiff door and cover missing from the aircon.
