It was a nice place but the hair dryers didn’t seem to work

The room was very quiet and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Mary was the check-in person and was gracious and helpful. My room was cleaned to perfection! I did not have breakfast so cannot comment. Easy parking. Perfect room accessories. EVERYTHING was PERFECT!
Brenda
We had a great stay!
Staucia
The room had a smoker/musty smell - smoking area was right outside our window. No gym onsite but book said community center across the street at school could be used (24 hours a) that’s not true & front desk people were no help. Found a close bike trail to walk right behind school. Breakfast was nothing special; scrambled eggs & sausage both days with waffle maker. Bed was comfortable. Checking in & out was easy.
Ashley
Nice place! Will stay again
Andrea
Clean, very functional room. There are reading task lights next to the bed along with regular bedside lights. A computer table with an additional keyboard area underneath was a nice touch. Parking is very convenient. Nice basic breakfast. Only two tables in the breakfast area & one more in the lobby. There were additional tables outside but it was too chilly for that. Internet is very spotty, cutting in & out. Without this issue I would have given a 5 star rating but this was irritating & occurred throughout my stay, day & night.

The breakfast was a joke how little they had. One little omelet and the gal acted like it was not her job to fill it..

Great hotel! 2nd time staying here. VERY clean and modernized rooms. Staff were very friendly. We loved the fact that they had a kiddie pool as well as the hot tub and big pool since we had a toddler traveling with us. Will stay again in the future!
Joseph
A great place for a quick getaway.

Tim
Room was a little too warm had to turn the stat down to 50 and the heat would still come on. Other than that the room was very clean and quiet.
Sommer
The breakfast was just ok.
Katie
Front desk staff at 9:30pm check in was great for our last minute stop. Room looked great.
Danielle
We chose Paynesville Inn because of the good reviews and affordable price. Our stay was just okay. The bathroom tub had hair in it yet, and the sink edges weren't cleaned well as it had looked like someone had shaved and the housekeeper didn't clean well. Next to the refrigerator was a piece of folded up garbage I had thought, so I reached down to pick it up to throw it away and it stuck to my hand. After looking at it, it was actually a pest control sticky pad. Yuck! After looking a little more, there were two of them in our room. Yuck! Other than that, our room was pretty tidy with fresh bedding. The pool, hot tub, and sauna were wonderful. The staff we spoke to were super pleasant, and the breakfast was good.

This hotel is very clean and well run. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Temperatures were very cold during my stay and they were gracious about a late checkout as I had a bit of trouble getting my truck started. Highly recommend this establishment.

Tanya
The room was nice & the whurlpool was very relaxing. The fureplace was comforting after a long day. They did allow us to check in a little early which was so nice after the long day we had.
Stuart
Clean easy to find
Ethan
Room was great, breakfast was OK.

TV issues was a big negative for me. The desk clerk gave it her full effort to take care of us which was greatly appreciated. She ended up calling in a manager who nicely came in and got to work while she was there. But she was clearly not all that thrilled to be there, my wife and I both got the same read on it and she left and immediately as she left we had the same problem. The desk clerk came back and got us back on but still could not change stations. All in all, A+ to the desk clerk.
Mary
The first room I was assigned had a smell of cigarette smoke although it was very clean. Mary, the manager at the desk, reassigned me a very nice room & was very apologetic. I have no doubt she followed up & made sure the no smoking policy was followed by all guests. She was very accommodating.
allison
Perfect for a good nights rest.
Bill
Friendly and helpful staff. Clean comfortable room. If traveling through same area will definitely stay there again.
SHAMA
It was clean, quiet, and had a nice breakfast. I also like that they offer shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower just in case you forget yours.
Nathan
Really nice non chain hotel, it could use more amenities, but for the price I’d definitely stay again.
Susan
The staff were very helpful. The room was spacious. The common areas were large and inviting. The outdoor space was lovely for breakfast.

Colleen
The property was well cared for, and the staff was very nice.
Daniel
The staff was very accommodating of what they could help with, but unfortunately, they were fully booked at the time and could not switch a room after ours had a strong odor. Once again, the staff did what they could and allowed us a later checkout, but unfortunately, overall the corporate or owners needs to take some time and revamping outdated flooring that is carrying smell smells.
Virginia
Two story hotel with no elevator. Wonky television service. Front desk employee helped me bring things to my room and tried to fix TV. I eventually figured it out. No excuse for the owners of this place to have no accessible front door or elevator in 2025. Thumbs down.
Breanna
Lovely Inn!
This place was great. They accommodated us with an early check-in which really helped us out! The room was spacious and clean! The only bummer was that they didn’t have an elevator and we had a lot of stuff as we were traveling with two little kiddos 2 and under!

Make sure you dont want to stay longer than you booked. I explained why i just did a week, and told them i was here for work and i would be here for over a month or two. When i went to go pay, i couldnt pay for another week, because someone booked my room for the next day. And they couldnt do anything about it because it was booked online, and they didnt know what to tell me.
You know ive NEVER been told i couldnt stay where i was, or continue paying for my room. And i have NEVER had anyone just not even really want to help.
The cleanliness and spacious room was amazing. But i will not be back!

Susan
Had a good breakfast staff who were attentive to guests needs. Lovely stay!

Bedroom had a musty smell and the bed and carpet felt damp. Also smelled like it used to be a smoking room.

A very nice place to stay. We didn't use the pool, but the Continental breakfast was very good. Our room was very clean. I would stay here again.
Jessica
It was fine and met our needs
Susan
The handicap room was spacious the staff helpful and friendly.
Joseph
It was spacious and comfortable. Bathrooms are big! Only thing we didn't like was the shower water pressure was a little bit low. Otherwise super clean and convenient...and low priced!
Steve
This was a trip away for my wife and me, and I rented a room with a whirlpool tub.
The room itself was quite spacious; that part was nice.
The whirlpool tub is pretty small, and more than that the water was BARELY warm! We couldn’t stay in the tub very long because the water was hardly lukewarm, even with only the “hot” water on and after they “fixed” it.
So, no value for us there in the price of the room.
I needed help from staff to turn the TV on. She came to the room and jiggled some wires in the back and said “It’s tricky to turn on. We’ve had complaints from other guests too.”
While walking down the pool my wife and I overheard her saying the same things to another guest who also had the same problem with their TV.
Our room had a king size bed, and we felt nearly every spring. My wife woke with back pain and not feeling well. I tossed much of the night.

Great extended pool hours. Kids liked the breakfast items. Clean and well lit.
Van
The hot tub and pool were very nice! Nice hotel!
Amandas
The staff is excellent and it's super clean. I feel guilty stating the negatives, but it was the worst nights sleep ever. The pull out bed was unbearable, I ended up sleeping on the floor (or trying to). Considering the main part of getting a hotel room is to sleep after a long drive, it failed in this area. Plus the tv remote didn't work and fridge kept popping all night. The sleep (or extreme lack of) killed me though.
Michael
No issues with the property
Zach
Pretty quiet. One overnight lady was questioning our dog in the room that had already been registered. Other than that, good experience.
Stephanie

Hotel was extremely clean and well maintained. That said, the mattresses were old and we could feel the springs in the mattress. We would suggest replacing them.

Love it!
Wonderful! So clean! So we'll kept! Such a nice place!
Ronald
Was disappointed in the breakfast. When the two of us went down to checkout and have breakfast there was only one egg and 2 pieces of ham left… and they were cold. . We skipped it as didn’t care to wait while more was made…

Friendly check-in.
Clean and comfortable room. We were just there for a night. The bed was comfortable but had a "plastic" mattress protector that crinkled when you moved. Good pillows. Check in was very friendly. Breakfast adequate (cereals, premade eggs and sausage, make your own waffles). Next to a supermarket. Did not use pool
Pamela
Nice and clean place to stay. Staff was all around great and helpful.
Deborah
Clean was my first priority and it met that. Quiet location for our fall vacation. Mattresses could use updating.
Merry
No choices for breakfast. No elevator.
