Our stay was good The room was very spacious and more than what was needed, but it was all that was available. The lighting was too bright, though the room was rather large, it did not accommodate for the early riser to be able to read or use any lighting with the other person still asleep. The chairs were not comfortable for a longer period of sitting to watch TV or read at the table. It was also in need of some TLC. Overall, it met our needs.

Recently had hip surgery- was given a room on second level with multiple steps-no hand rails- no discussion as to switching the room for a lower- no handrails anywhere that there were steps regardless of the floor the steps were on.

Beautiful log cabin style room with a loft- super spacious, comfortable beds, air works great- but VERY noisy while running. We were there to do Jeep off-roading and the staff seemed to be temporary workers from other countries; so not very knowledgeable about the off-roading at all. They couldn't answer many of our questions, and being first timers, that was a bit disappointing. The trail begins right there and the facility is also a spot that Jeep Jamboree is held at; so we went there thinking we would get some direction on things. Unfortunately; We bought the Turtle trail pass at the desk and for a beginner that was NOT the correct thing to do-waste of our money, and the code the front desk gave us let us INTO the park but when we tried to leave... the code didn't work and it took us a while to get someone to answer the phone to help us get out of the gate with a new code. Cell coverage and wifi are extremely spotty, so the situation could have been bad. There is a free trail right at the exit of the resort that is more for beginners- but we were not told this. Also, the breakfast is very basic- bagels, cereal and 1 waffle maker for the entire resort to share. The resort swimming pool outdoors is very pretty and well kept. The restaurant Pins is right beside the resort- very large, good food( try the pizza), a variety of video style games and pool. While the staff is very nice; they need to be more informed of the off-roading in order to help direct guests.

I thought the hotel was very nice but i was unaware there is no dining on site(you need to walk outside a bit) and the bayside dining and beach is over a mile away. That really should be noted on the description. Was expecting to walk out my door and see the beach but the pool was nice!

Everything was fine except they need to have luggage carts. They said they don't have them because they have an elevator which makes no sense when you need to drag all of your stuff from the parking lot, up the elevator, across the breakfast area and down 4 stairs to get to your room. Luggage carts are provided by other hotels with elevators.

Disappointing.

If you’re expecting a peaceful stay free of excessive noise from everyone else in the lodge, don’t stay here! Construction of the lodge offers no sound dampening. You can also expect a blast of hot water every time another guest flushes their toilet. Not impressed.

Great with only one flaw

This is my second time staying here. Visited right before our wedding to relax before our big day. Love the cabin-feel, love that my dog can join us, love how close we are to the on-site restaurant. The front desk staff was super great and friendly and we interacted with three different staff members. We visited in September so the mornings were chilly and afternoons super hot. It sucked that the pool was already closed and there were no hot tubs. Also, the sauna was broke down. We don't off-road or golf so we were there just to relax so having some things available to do on site would be appreciated. Maybe add a gym or hot tub or leave the pool open if the sauna is down. The only issue we had was breakfast. Why would you offer full service and then only have waffles, cereal, and bagels available? It should be self-service so we don't have to wait 15 minutes for someone to check in (at 9am) followed by check outs to nab breakfast. If you want to have it serviced by front desk staff, put a second member at the front desk to help with checkouts and ins and add more than just waffles. If you are staffing the position, offer a full breakfast. And offer more than one bagel flavor. But other than breakfast, everything was great! And bring back the fall golf cart event where we can get donuts and cider along the way. That wasn't offered this year and we miss it!

We loved the setting and the amenities like bikes and kayaks offered. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful.

I only say this because we were in five other establishments on our trip. This is not related to our review. This was an excellent place to stay and highly recommend it. One thing the establishment could consider is the sheets on the king bed that we were in, were pilled. I know it’s continual and constant with keeping up with everything, but could be looked into.

Nice remote location, but close to ammenities

We stayed in one of the golf view cabins. Cabin was nice and comfortable, even with no AC. Was mostly clean except for some bathroom areas with ants, but that was anticipated with a cabin out in the woods. We needed to drive back to the resort for any of the amenities, like the pool and breakfast. The breakfast was ok, but not the best continental breakfast. One day it was cereal, pancakes from the machine, hard boiled eggs, and frozen apples. There is some yogurt too. The onsite beach is not really a good swimming beach, but it's a good spot to go kayaking or canoeing. The resort is very big in area, so it's pretty quiet and a great place to get away to enjoy the peace. The onsite Pins restaurant was pretty good. We had lunch there, and the kids menu was reasonably priced. Service was great and quick.

This was our 3rd year staying at the Hermitage cabin and overall it was a good stay. Check-in was simple and the staff were friendly.

As with any place, there are pros and cons.

Pros:
- Private, as you are not on top of any other cabins.
- Wildlife, the deer were such a joy to see each day! Hearing the birds chirping and seeing a squirrel here and there were also enjoyable.
- Covered front porch is a nice place to sit to enjoy coffee, or if it is raining.
- Bonfire pit is for the cabin, and is not shared by others, so that made it more enjoyable - as well as the chairs that were provided.
- Lawn was cut, so no problems with high weeds or anything like that.
- Pots, pans, dishes, etc. are provided.

Cons:
- No full size refrigerator
- Water has a copper taste, so it is best to bring plenty of your own drinking water, as well as any water for cooking, coffee, etc.
- Not a fan of the shower head, as there was not much pressure with the water - plenty of water pressure from the kitchen faucet though.
- Bedroom is upstairs, bathroom is downstairs. There is a comfy reclining loveseat downstairs to sleep on though.
- When sitting on the front porch the 1st morning, fake eyelashes were on the railing of the front porch... we thought they were a feather from a distance, when we were sitting on the front porch the first night we arrived. More of those fake eyelashes were found in the bathroom by the sink as well (these were not mine, as I do not wear them).

We really enjoyed our time here! Was wonderful. My only complaint is we were charged more than double our price and it was recognized immediately. We were told it would only take 3-5 days and it ended up taking 9 days to be returned after I had to follow up on it. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay. We plan to be back next year!

Was a rustic camp like feel resort which we liked. Due to poor weather couldn't do what we wanted to do outside so not really much to do. Well maintained with a nice size fridge in the room. No brkfst was offered, but had coffee maker in the room. Hotel portion was not on the lake, but canoes etc..appeared to be available if you drive to the lake area.

The 2 bedroom Pond Cabin was perfect for out annual Drummond Island golf trip. The setting was beautiful on the pond with chairs and fire pit. Tucked away from the road in a very quiet setting. The cabin had everything we needed for a great trip. I highly recommend.

I go to Drummond Island at least once per year and always stay here but it’s time to try a different place, this stay was terrible, the AC in the room didn’t work very well, the door stop to the bathroom was falling off, the sink was backing up, and management did nothing about anything.

Cute and rustic! Overall nice stay. Cleanliness could have been better, 50% of the TV channels was not working, the restaurant onsite was less than desirable. The best part of the weekend was the gas station just past the 4 corners! Wonderful gal working and the BEST pizza!

Three women stayed in the 3 queen loft room. Charming wood stairs. Very comfortable beds and roomy. Cutout for refrigerator and microwave and clothes storage. Nooks lacked lighting which was needed. Room did not have resort information regarding location of ice machine or gym.

Floors creek, no kleenex, toilet seat missing bolt so it was wobbly, window handle threads stripped so window wouldn't shut all the way. Liked there is a pool. Would have swam if it were heated. Vines growing over fence needs maintenance

The property was an interesting combination of old-time split log structure and rooms with an industrial looking metal siding and roofing here and there. Mostly, I enjoyed the old-fashioned deep-woods log cabin look of the whole place. Our room was HUGE with a wall of windows. Beautiful sheltered pool area, sauna hut. Free passes to kayak or paddle board at their beach just a few miles down the road.

Overall, this was a great place to stay and we would stay here again. When we first got there and walked up to the front of the cabin, there were a lot of little butterflies welcoming us.

Check-in was very easy. Reserving a boat slip was a bit of a challenge with other boats being parked in slips we were told were available, but we made it work!

Pros:
- Secluded - you are NOT on top of other cabins.
- Walking distance to the boat docks that the resort has, as well as the beach area. (wish there were bathrooms nearby though)
- A nice little walking path to the Beaver Pond, where there were two chairs and a firepit.
- The covered porch is wonderful - especially on those rainy days!
- Couch recliner in the living room is very comfortable.
- A lot of utensils, cookware, etc. were available to use.
- Nice, huge yard to play cornhole.
- We did see some deer while sitting on the front porch, so that was great!
- Stove/oven/microwave worked as expected.
- Charcoal grill came in handy!

Cons:
- Water out of the faucet did not have a good taste at all - make sure you bring plenty of bottled water - especially if you are making coffee.
- There is only a mini fridge.
- Shower faucet was challenging - you can get scalding hot water pretty quick.
- Cabin made a lot of creaks at night (made us think an animal had snuck in lol)
- Bedroom is in loft area, while the bathroom is downstairs.
