The property is quite old, and unfortunately, there's no heating provided in the rooms. I experienced freezing temperatures overnight, roughly 10 degrees celsius inside. I could feel significant drafts coming through the windows, even when they were fully closed. The room has tile floors which made it even colder.

my second time staying at Deja Vu hotel, truly enjoyed the lounge area and the friendliness of the receptionists (all of them). Room was quiet and bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was out dated but I understand that this hotel is in an older building but I value the location convenience very much and this hotel is situated at the perfect location with MRT being 3 min away and hundreds of restaurants nearby. Will definitely stay here again

It is really close to the metro station and SOGO department stores. There are many eateries and smaller shops for casual shopping. Even though the room is clean, it looks really old and tired. The door key is old style. There is no warm air during winter. So it gets really cold at night when the temperature drops. May be good for budget travellers during summer but not at this time (Dec) when I was there.

Avoid this hotel. I am not at all a picky traveler, but I would strongly discourage anybody from booking this hotel. The hotel and our room smelled like mildew, and the walls in our room were warped from moisture. We checked out after less than an hour, but the hotel staff refused to refund us. We got in touch with our hotels.com after our travels, but the hotel refused to negotiate with them. The hotel even refused to provide a 50% refund to hotels.com, which is ridiculous because the hotel could have tried to book out at least the 2nd night of our 2-night booking. There are plenty of marvelous affordable hotels in the Da'an area. This is not one of them.

The hotel is undergoing a huge amount of renovation work (Oct. 2018) so it literaly felt like living in a construction site for the whole week. Perhaps when the renovation is completed, it would look nice, but what I saw was very dirty carpet throughout the hotel - but this is not uncommon in hotels in Taiwan.

2 mins walk to MRT, room is clean (no cigarette smell!), design of hotel is old but quite well maintained. Room size is a bit small but the toilet and bathroom is bigger than usual hotel room. Wi-Fi was working properly. Hotel staffs are polite.

Do not accept any rooms on first floor

Upon check in, I was told the hotel is fullu booked and the only room available is on ground floor. I accepted the room, given I arrived early and not able to view the room till later. The room is clean, but is old, the bath room does not have proper shower for westener. The jaccuzi tub which I did not dare to use is chiped and repaired. The toilet is an outdated pink. Not to mention the complete bath room and toilet is as big as the sleeping area. Nightmare began when I went to bed. There was a continuous humming noice from outside and it even made the room felt vibrating. I checked and found out the noise was from outside: there were few AC units only a few feet away from the window and was running full force and making the noise. I called the front desk and asked them to felt for themselves. They agreed the noise is loud enough and I am not able to rest, but claim there were no other rooms available. I needed to speak to the manager in the morning or made loud noises to the HO; they would not do anything. Next morning around 8:00am, I spoke with the manager; she immediately put me in a room on the second floor (all ready). The hotel would not do anymore even I had lost a night of rest. They compensated me with 3 pieces of pastry which after a bite, I thought they were trying to poison me.

Great location, great staff, musty room

The hotel staff are tremendously accommodating and kind. The hotel's location is excellent and there is much to see and do in the area. Facilities are minimal. The hotel room smelled badly of mildew and the window opened onto a wall. The room was nonetheless quite clean. The shower is handheld only unless you want to sit on the floor. There is a separate bathtub.

Convenient location but with run down rooms

This is about the fourth time I have stayed in this hotel in the last 4/5 years. The location is great - Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT just 3 mins from the hotel. The breakfast has improved with every stay and they try to serve different food so guests don't have to eat the same thing everyday. Other than location, the good breakfast and the friendly and efficient staff, I probably will not go back again given the pricing and the very jaded rooms and public areas. They have not done any upgrading to anything from the first time I stayed there. There are many newer and better hotels of about the same pricing available. This will probably be the last time I am staying in this hotel - not until they have done some renovation or upgrading to the facilities.

Ok, close to the metro but very highpriced

The main advantage of the hotel is its close location to two metro lines and the ostend for those who like to go for shopping. The hotel itself is ok but the rooms need urgently some renovation although they were quite clean. But the price for the hotel is very high. There are other hotels in the neighbourhood for slightly higher prices but much much higher comfort.

Great location. With 2 Sogos nearby, meals at their food court are easily available at reasonable price; which is great for me as I don't speak mandarin and dining elsewhere is usually tough for me unless it's a cafe with picture menus to order. It has 2 entrances/exits; which I found out only on checking out!
Toilet setup is not usual but this has been commented by the other guests already. It's excellent location at reasonable price overcomes its shortcomings.

It's in a very nice area, and just a 3 minute walk to the metro station. However, the room looked like it was from 1985 and is in great need of some serious updating. Because there wasn't a good ventilation system, the bathroom was moldy in the ceiling. Pretty gross! There was a \"jacuzzi tub\" that also looked like it was from 1980's, but the hot water didn't even work in the tub, so it was basically useless an pointless. I would not stay here again.

Considering the location, breakfast included, comfortable room size, the price should be considered very reasonable. I was surprised with the variation of breakfast, it is more than enough compared to other hotels with similar prices. There was one thing I didn't like was the cigarette smell in the room. Decent Night's Sleep Downtown

This struck me as a downtown business hotel in miniature. Small, friendly front-desk; small, pleasant guest lounge with free cappucino machine, wi-fi (when it's working properly), and one-desk business center; nicely-designed breakfast room with a good buffet. There are no other restaurants in the hotel, but you don't need it in this neighborhood.

Small, square room. The comfy king-size bed took up nearly all the space so things were rather cramped. An unholstered chair was literally wedged in next to the bed and tiny night table. Inner rooms have no natural windows. One small window looked out on the atrium -- sky-lit by day, flourescent-lit by night (but a heavy drop curtain effectively blocked out all the light). Decor is a bit dated and old-fashioned faux-fancy, but I rather liked the mauve bathroom fixtures in our room.

This is a very reasonable choice for a comfortable night's sleep and good breakfast, but you won't want to hang out in the small room for too long.

It's still good

I came here for the first time two years ago and I was pleased to see that they hadn't let things slide since then. The location is convenient: at the intersection between the blue and brown subway lines, there are the SOGOs with an abundance of shops and restaurants but also plenty small, independent businesses. The breakfast is really good.

Lovely staff and good location but small rooms

Nice hotel conveniently located next to the metro and the main shopping street in Taipei. Lovely staff and very accommodation. Breakfast was a standard buffet which was fine and eggs cooked to order. Good channels on the TV! Unfortunately rooms a bit pokey but still comfortable. I would request a room with a view as mine was a bit depressing!

very close to railway station (1-2 mins walk). hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful. we asked them how to go to certain places before we dropped the baggage in our rooms. when we went down to the lobby few mins later, they handed in a piece of paper with clear instruction to the places. this is really an extra mile in a 3-star hotel. the double room we stayed is a bit old with some smell but it's clean. good value though.

Internet is atrociously slow. Google maps took forever to load!, Cannot have a reasonable working session or VOIP calls in my room. Upon complain - Hotel staff did not have satisfactory answer - they said \"every-guest is using the internet in the hotel-rooms causing network to be slow\". I have stayed at other 'sold-out' hotels in Taipei during this visit without any kind of internet slowdown. I know they are cheaping out on this KEY service. Btw they DO NOT HAVE MAGNETIC CARD KEYS. You have to use ancient bulky keys.

Nice older hotel

The hotel is a bit older, but the room was clean and comfortable and the wi-fi worked fine. The bathroom had a quirky blue design. As some others pointed out, there's not much of a view since you're looking at a back of another building, but I didn't mind this as it gave more of a \"local\" feel. Best part about this spot is the location -- very central and the metro is just a minute walk away. In general I was satisfied with my stay.

Taipei Deja Vu Hotel

Excellent location with just 2 mins walking distance from the subway station.

Bus service from the Airport stops at the station's exit so it would be easy to travel to the airport even with lots of luggages.

Room is quite spacious. Only problem (with perhaps only my room?) is that there are 2 toilets, 1 for shower and the other with the toilet bowl. So you gotta travel between the 2 toilets for different cleaning up.

Complimentary breakfast service has quite a good range of food choices but it ends pretty early. Not too good for late wakers.

Hotel staff quite particular about room cleanliness. Although I checked in late afternoon, they routinely asked whether I would like my room cleaned in the evening time. Once, I forgot to ask for clean up service and left the \"Do Not Disturb\" sign outside my door and when I returned late at night, they still arranged for hotel staff to clean up.

ホテルの建物は古いです。また、「休憩時間はいくら」とホテル前に看板が出てます。
ラブホなんですかね。まぁ、老夫婦で宿泊したので恥ずかしくはないですが。あとミネラルウォーターをもらう時も何か色々言われ、ドンと置かれたと家内が対応の悪さを感じてました。
唯一良かったのは価格が安かった事ですかね。

・立地（ほぼ駅の前）
・かなり年季の入っているホテルだと思うが清潔に保とうと清掃されている意思が見られる
・スタッフの笑顔、声掛け、心遣い。台北台中台南で合計7個のホテルに泊まったがスタッフの対応は一番良かった。もちろん英語が通じた。

■改善点
・トイレがウォシュレットではない。
・バスタブ付きの部屋の写真を見て予約したがバスタブがなくシャワールームだけだった。
・清掃は綺麗にされているが築年数相当のジメジメ感とおばあちゃん家のような匂いがかすかにする。気になる人は気になるかな。私は一泊だったから良かったがここに複数泊はできないと思いました。（二階の部屋だったので特にそう感じたのかも。ただ一階にも部屋あったのでそこになったら大変かも）

肝心な客室はエアコン切っても謎の風が入り口付近の天井から出ていて寒い。そしてなぜか部屋が湿気っぽいので気のせいか壁が湿っている。なので部屋も古民家のようなカビっぽい臭いがしました。除湿機があるといいかもしれません。温度と湿気の部分だけが残念でした…

認真的說⋯⋯我大概不會再選擇此飯店了。房間的設施令我感到噁心而且不是一朝一夕會變成這樣的。浴缸本就是清潔身體的地方反而最髒，馬桶的膠也脫落了真的很無言。建議飯店重新裝修以吸引客人。軟件再好硬件配不上也是白費。

旅慣れた人が利用するには良いと思います。建物や設備は古めですが清潔感はあり、滞在で困ることはほとんどありませんでした。
鍵はタッチ式ではなく、エアコンは集中管理で温度調整は難しいです。
室内にホテルサービスに関するドキュメントやセーフティボックスはありません。朝食付き？無料？のプランでしたが、案内が無くよく分からなかった(聞けばいいだけですが)ので、近隣の朝から開いている多くのお店を利用しました。
チェックインは13時から可能で、さらに松山空港からのアクセスがタクシーとMRTで非常に素晴らしい立地です。
