Property was very nice and inan excellent location. Very easy to find an easy entry. The rooms were very clean and well looked after and looked like they had had a Reno. we would definitely stay there again. Our only comment would be the initial entry is very Sketchy looking and not very clean. Once you get up to the floors of the hotel, it is fine.

ZERO STARS!! This is NOT a HOTEL. They communicate via WhatsApp, quite incessantly when THEY need something. But when we lost power in our room @ 11:30pm they did not respond to multiple messages or calls. The prominent emergency number posted at the from desk is the same WhatsApp number I was using. Apparently, a much smaller sign shows a different number for emergencies. Maybe there could be a number in the rooms for emergencies... We had to sleep with the windows open, with no screens. We were eaten alive by mosquitos. The road below was very loud with street cleaners, and it was VERY HOT. We had an early flight the next morning so we packed in the dark and was unable to charge any devices. And having to use our phones for flash lights they died quickly. The next morning the \"hotel\" finally responded and only wanted to argue about the situation. Not even offering an apology. Miserable experience.

Walking distance to many sights. Lots of food options around- one right at the entrance of the hotel. Extremely nice receptionist. Our housekeeper, Fatima, is a very hardworking lady with a nice smile on her face. She keeps the entire floor (kitchen and sitting area/ lounge) super clean. Thank you, Fatima.

I really liked my stay at Hotel Miceli – Civico 50! The room was just the right size, and the bathroom was huge I loved having all that space. From the outside, the building looks more like an apartment, but once you step inside, it’s really nice and cozy. The only thing I didn’t love was how tiny the elevator is if you’re claustrophobic, I’d suggest taking the stairs. The location is great though everything is within a 5 to 12-minute walk. Overall, it’s a lovely place in a super convenient spot!

The room was modern and clean. The self-help entry was easy. I took the stairs instead of the elevator and didn’t know which floor to go to but the staff were immediately responsive on WhatsApp. A staff member ended up greeting me at the door as they are there for some hours of the day. They were responsive on WhatsApp to all my other questions also. No shower products so bring your own but they have a kettle and coffee and tea and complimentary water. My stay there was perfect and I’d be happy to go back! Thank you Team Miceli!

The hotel is a couple of blocks walk to the duomo and about a 10 minutes walk from the train station. The lift is quite small so we had to do 2 trips when we had cases. There is a pizza takeout/restaurant under the hotel at street level. So handy for pizza and there is a lovely cafe on the corner for coffee and cake. We found there was a bit of traffic noise and I think noises from the pizza place but it didn’t effect our stay. I would recommend the hotel, especially for its location

Other than the lack of a front desk for check in and if it wasn’t for another guest we would have had great difficulty getting in as we arrived late and had no way to contact them ahead of time .
The room was very nice bed exceptional once we were there it was easy to get around. However very difficult to order a taxi again no front desk. This is something that had to be improved.

Very nice spacious room. Everything modern and updated. Great bathroom. Fabulous shower. Staff was extra responsive and helpful. Fabulous location for seeing all the sights. Right next to tram to take to/from rail station. Restaurants nearby have tourist pricing. Except fabulous fresh sandwich shop on the corner by gallery academia, which was reasonable and a great product. Long lines but moves very quickly. A find. Better proceed food/Spritz across the river, a 12 min ish walk. I found the online check in and communication very easy and efficient. Elevator is indeed the tiniest ever, so if claustrophobic you might want to take the stairs out take it in turns. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is located within walking distance of many top tourist locations in the city. A tram stop is also located nearby if you want to venture out around Florence. The triple room was super spacious enough for two people but three can definitely fit. Check in after hours was cumbersome since we arrived after hours and had to connect to wifi but it got sorted out.

The room was in an ok location. The parking was inconvenient bc we had to park the car in a garage a good distance away. The room was ok. Needed a few maintenance things done. Beds and pillows were no good. The air kept shutting off which was annoying bc it was so hot outside. wouldnt recommend or stay there again.

There was no staff on-site when we arrived, but we had been in touch with the hotel via WhatsApp all day, and they were super helpful and friendly! Entering the building was very easy, but the 3-person elevator was just a little squished. The room was as expected - the only downside was that the shower was only cold water (after running it for a few minutes) and the sink in the bathroom was only hot water! The room was warm when we entered, but we turned the air conditioning up and it was perfect by the time we arrived back for bed. All-in-all, it was a good stay overnight!

I really liked our stay at the Hotel Miceli 50 it’s perfectly located walking distance to almost everything (5mins walk to the Duomo) really centric area, the room was clean and nice and so was our bathroom with a nice spacious shower which is a must for me, the staff was very friendly, would stay here again. The only thing I would mention just for general reference is that the elevator is a bit small so if traveling with big bags you have to send them up first because the elevator only fits 2 ppl at a time. Other than that, wonderful!

The room was decorated nicely also the bathroom. The very small lift was not ideal for my needs as my husband got a mobility scooter so he can get about he is not able to walk to far. On day we arrived there was staff to book in and where helpful but after that there was no reception staff and none this morning when I left. While I was there the only staff that was there was the cleaner and that’s who I gave the key to so not impressed with that. Luckily there was a taxi rank round the corner so I could get a taxi there to get back to the airport.

My family and I stayed at Hotel Miceli over Thanksgiving. The room was nice and as described on the site. It is a basic room w/bathroom. It was big enough for us and provided us with what we needed a place to rest and clean up. The beds were ok, comfortable enough to get good rest. There were cans of water in the room, which was nice. We didn't drink any of the coffee / tea that was in our room, but it looked like nice brand / flavors. Loved that there was an elevator. It is tiny, lol, but it was helpful for our luggage and my wife who couldn't do the stairs due to health issues. We used a parking garage it cost 30 euro a day when staying at this hotel, plus you could drive in the ZTL to get to the hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Civico 50 Miceli Hotel.

We loved this hotel it was very clean and nicely renovated. We couldn’t get our app to open the door to work so they gave us a card it worked the first night but the next day my husband went for coffee and he was locked out of the building the cars they gave us didn’t work either. This would have been a big issue if we got locked out the night before when there was no staff on the property. It was also very noisy in the room, the traffic was extremely loud and we unfortunately didn’t get a good sleep.

The room had a bug infestation. I went downstairs and nicely told the woman at the front desk and she grabbed bug spray (which she grabbed quickly telling me it was readily available because this list not have been the first time this issue occurred) she sprayed and then left the bottle with me and told me to kill any more I see. They ate a hole throw some of our clothes. We had not eaten in the hotel room at all but the woman from the front desk continued to tell us we had “brought in something sweet” when I explained again that we had not eaten in the hotel, nor had we been in it since early that morning, she said “well it must’ve been something left on the desk or floor by the previous person”. I then said that the room should have been cleaned between people and she said “I didn’t say that, it was clean, it’s something you brought in” we asked for the email of the manager and she told us no. We asked why and she said “only o communicate with him”. My friend went back downstairs and was finally able to get her to put him on speaker phone where she explained what happened. The manager and the woman at the front break start speaking very badly about my friend in Italian, thinking she wouldn’t understand but she speaks and understand Italian fluently. We asked for a refund for that night and the next one so we could move hotels since they would not move our rooms and she said absolutely not, that Expedia had to refund us. Overall a horrid experience.

Establishment was centrally located near many restaurants and shops. Walking distance from F.S.M. Train station. Be prepared to download an app to access hotel lodging but staff was very communicative to help as there is no 24 hour front desk here. Loved the location because it was a 15min walk from train station and 7-15min walk from multiple attractions such as Basilica Santa Maria del Fiore, Piazza della Signoria and Ponte Vecchio. Location is amazing and lodging was great for price. Would stay here again.

This was a unique stay for me being the first time using \"remote reception\" and a digital key. I am sure for younger travelers this would be very seamless but for someone 50 and traveling alone (but pretty up to date with technology) it was not too daunting. The communication via email and the Expedia app was very very good. The people working at the property were very kind and helpful. The room had everything I needed for an overnight stay.

I was disappointed with the property. It’s called a Hotel but it’s far from it. Multiple areas that need to be improved. First, the Wi-Fi was inconsistent. It would come and go. I brought it to the attention of the staff by what’s app message as there is no 24 hour staff in the Hotel. Again that’s the second problem. No 24 hour staff. I needed additional towels on the second night but no one to ask or even get them from. I used a hand towel after a shower. Not something I would do if staying in a hotel. The air conditioner had limits on the temperature range. The coldest I could set it was 20 Celsius. I wanted it colder because the housekeeper would turn off the air conditioner and when I returned to the room in the afternoon for a bit of rest it was hot and humid in the room and took a long time to cool down. Last, no hook in the bathroom to hang clothes or towel and no shelf in the shower to set shampoo bottle. Those are minor but expected in a hotel bathroom.

This is not a Hotel. Please read every detail of the listing before booking. It’s like a nice hostel/Airbnb with no kitchen in the room.

The location of this place was great! Sylvia in housekeeping was very helpful in assisting us with dropping our bags before check in and help with unlocking our room. The KS app was not very easy to learn to use and there was not a front desk to help but once we figured it out it as very easy. It would be helpful if there was some information about how to use the system to enter the hotel as this was not very clear.

Unattended hotel requires special phone app

While the room was fine and well located, the hotel was completely unattended. They require people to download an app and get into the hotel using it (which also means requiring some wireless connection). Since my wife did not have the app or a smart phone which could use it, she could not go in and out independently. While I could always get in, sometimes the app timed out and made for a few unpleasant seconds.

Modern and clean hotel near the Duomo.

Virtual property access was a bit challenging to navigate for me at first but worked perfectly after initial speed bumps.

Property is on 4th floor of building but does have a modern lift (albeit a tiny one, as is common in buildings in the city), so not a deal breaker at all.

Air conditioning only sort of worked...would never cool the room lower than 24 degrees C which is a bit warm for me for sleeping, so unless visiting during cooler periods, this would be a problem.

But the location was very good, quiet neighborhood very close to Duomo, with lots of nearby restaurants. Not noisy and touristy like some areas of Florence.

This is a very nice hotel, perfectly situated between the Duomo and the Academy. It was very clean, comfortable and modern. We faced a bit of a challenge getting in to the hotel because you have to download an App but we had trouble with it due to not having phone service or wifi until getting into the hotel. Hotel staff was helpful in emails as work around but for someone not tech savvy it seems like a lot to do before even getting there.

A nice hotel, situated on the third and fourth floor of a apartment type building. Very modern facilities including the key to open your door is an app on your phone (convenient but also a bit frustrating to use at times and you have to worry about your phone running out of battery).
The area is nice enough, close to the main attractions and train station, however the areas nearby can be quite noisy till around 12 if you're an early bird.

To check in, make sure you rung the buzzer on street, not inside the iron gate. Clean, comfort and helpful stuffs. Good hot water supply. The only issue is the extreme up and down of the wifi signal. Quite often what you are watching will be cut off. If you depend on wifi for communication for work, then this is not the place. There are no trancients milling around the area is very reassuring.
Basically you can walk to all attractions. The Duomo is 2 long blocks to the right when come out of the hotel. David is in the strret right behind the hotel.

Great place esp. for price!

It was so great for the price! Clean, felt fairly new, great location close to everything. Not sure why it isn’t cost effective to have a front desk open at all times, but that didn’t effect my trip. Helpful and kind staff too!

The room size was very large for a European room, which was great for our group of three to spread out and feel comfortable. Front desk staff was helpful. The elevator was quite small (think one person and maybe two suitcases). So just know you’ll probably have to take turns! Great property. Would stay again.

The location is a little tricky but Miceli is not the only one, in general the majority of small hotels have similar stuff like the entrance. You have to find the hotel when you are at the corner of Via Cavour 50 close to the Piazza San Marco. The wood high door is between a leather bag store and a pizza restaurant. The entrance door is a 1.5 meters or 4 feet width. The staff is super kind and they are there from 11:30 am to 10pm aprox., but you can text them if you're running late.

We love the hotel's concept and will definitely stay there again.

Would stay again

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was an easy walk to the places I wanted to see and there were plenty of restaurants nearby. I felt perfectly safe as a solo female traveler in the area. My only complaint is that reception closed firmly at 8:00PM and my train was late arriving so that made things stressful…no one wants to pay an extra 25€ to check in a little bit later than 8:00 but luckily I made it in time. Overall great value and great location.

Although hidden out of view, The hotel was excellently laid out and seemed very spacious considering Florence standards. Staff were very friendly and room was clean and our stay was very comfortable.

Everything was newly reburbished to a high standard. The lounge room was very modern . Fluffy towels.
