This was a stopover for me and was great for the purpose. I am impressed with the fact that the hot water came immediately and was very hot. Great for a shower- and hand washing. The place was clean and cared for though showing its age around the edges. The place was easy to find.

I was on a motorcycle trip ... I got there mid morning ... hours ahead of check in time. I was saturated from traveling on motorcycle through mountain areas in a very heavy storm. The manager moved me to a different room to let me go in early and get out of the rain, which was very much appreciated.

Never again.

Looks like nothing has been replaced in 50 years. Numerous tile in bathroom missing, tub had some strange discoloration we refused to use it. The soap given was so small barely able to wash with it.
Furniture all marked up looked like something others threw out.
Never again.
Continental breakfast looked like it was old food- refused to touch it.

This room would have been fine for a night, but we had booked it for four, and we just found it inadequate for that long a stay. The damaged furniture and lack of places to put things (no closet, no counter next to the sink) just made the whole thing clumsy. As this was a work trip for us, we needed outlets near the desk and for both of us to use the wifi at the same time, but the outlets were across the room, and if one of us signed into the wifi, it bumped the other one off the service. It was just the wrong hotel for us. The proprietor refunded our payment for the subsequent three nights, which we appreciated very much.

excellent place to stay

This was my second time staying here. I needed to sleep one night - very close to Bellayre Mountain. If you need a place to sleep - I recommend staying here. The only place to eat dinner on Monday/Tuesday is Ming Moon's Chinese. I looked on the iphone maps app for food. All the places I found were closed until Wednesday/Thursday/Friday. I did not want to travel too far to get dinner. Other then that, no issues with the hotel. Free wifi is provided.

Excellent Motel -- Not expensive

The motel is fine, the room, the bed, the heating system, the bathroom, has a mini refrigerator, I had no problems. I styed there one night 2/10/2025 - 2/11/2025. Approximately 13 miles from Belleayre. All I needed was a place to sleep for the night and this worked out perfectly. I would stay here again

This place has no staff available, The rooms are disgusting, the mold in the bathroom was everywhere. The floor around the tub was peeling up and the rotten wood underneath was showing.
We tried to sit out on the front porch in the evening, but there are literally THOUSANDS of spiders that have taken up residence and drop on you.
This place should be burned to the ground and started over.

the property is very old. then they tell u they will leave breakfast emenities. they left 2 boxes of cereal. no milk or anything.
the tiles are falling off in the bathroom.
chain on the door ripped off.the tiles on the ceiling are screwed over the bed.i was hoping it wasnt gonna rain cause i was afraid i would have been leaked on. i would not recommend thia to anyone. and actualy i would like my money refunded..

Quaint but disappointing

Our overnight stay was at best semi-comfortable and overpriced for the room.
The room was musty on entry. Tile was missing on the bathroom walls and there was mold on the tub. The brights side was the shower was hot and bed was comfortable. The view from outside was pleasant. There was no office or anyone available to assist a guest. I’m being very generous to rate my stay at 3 stars

We didn't actually stay because we went elsewhere. I could deal with the decrepit state of the room, furniture, carpet, bathroom, etc. even the smell. just can't stay in a room with a filthy toilet. There I draw the line. Plus the whole atmosphere was creepy. Save yourself the time and money.

I am not one to give bad reviews to businesses. I'd rather keep quiet and mind my business but my experience with this motel was terrible to be quiet.
The appearance was quite neat but in reality the bedsheets smelt like it was not washed. I had a terrible allergy reaction on my skin that made me sit up all night long. I had to go my car to sleep. They need to rip off the dirty carpets. The smell was aweful.

Avoid at all costs. This place looks abandoned, is run down, dirty, smelly, etc. It is a remote check-in facility, so you never actually talk to anyone. Fair warning - the only other places to stay in Margaretville are owned by the same company, so I imagine they are in similar condition.

We had a leak with the toilet when I first got there it took me 45 minutes too get a code cause I was never sent one and I have stayed with them before and never had issues like this the door screw came out and yes the next day they came when my dad had seen someone the bed had stains on it and felt like u was on a boat

This is small local motel. It was clean and comfortable. There a liquor store across the state road and restaurant about 100yards down the road. It’s a no frills, convenient motel in the Catskills. Served its purpose well and I was on the slopes at Belleayre within 8min from the time I left.

Be aware that there is not anyone on the premise to check you in.

If you do not receive the check-in instructions via email (happened to me) you must call the number on the office door and you will be provided a key code. From there all was good. Becky was very helpful and friendly getting me into the room.

Room was Very clean but the entire place is in desperate need of an entire upgrade.

It seems the staff is doing the best they can with what they have to work with. This is a very old building. There is a refrig, microwave, coffee maker and coffee, ac and TV all working. The beds however are horrid. Again, very clean but sagging badly in the middle. It served the purpose as not much to choose from in the area and this was last minute.

There was no heat and no hot water. The rug was stained and filthy. The bed clothes were stained. We did not stay the second night. This place needs to be condemned. I am not going to pay for the second night and will report it to New YOrk State health department. If I were you I would not include this in my hotel business.

Can’t speak for all the rooms but our stay in room 8 was horrible! Or it would have been if at 11pm we decided we couldn’t take it and got back in our car and drove home (3 hour drive) after being in Andes all day. First word to come to mind to describe room was “moist”. Floor boards were spongy from long term drainage problems from the air conditioning unit. Carpet was so wet that over time it had soaked into the sink vanity swelling the particle board. Air was thick and we just couldn’t stay in the room that had to be infested with mold.

Beds and foundations were completely wornout and in need of replacement. Carpet was damp and also needs to be replaced with tile and runners due to the moisture this place holds. Shower valve needed to also be replaced as it would just spin. Sink and toilet functioned which was good. This place is within walking distance to a BBQ pub with a bowling alley which was really convenient since we were on a dual sport motorcycle ride and needed this after a long day!

The door jam of the main door to the room seemed to have been in need of repair, however the parking lot and surrounding area of the hotel seemed safe enough that it wasn't a huge concern.

My expectations of the place were not high to start with and I booked the place just to sleep after a long day of skiing and leave next day as early as possible. But Few things I wasn’t planning to deal after a very long day of skiing, drive through foot of snow in the property, no one cared to clean up after the snowstorm, it took me 10 minutes to figure out how to open the door, you had to pull hard and then turn the knob, heating system didn’t work at all - they provided this small electric heater that dried out the air and it was super hard to breathe for both me and my kid, had to wake up 2 times at night to turn it off and on to compromise between air dryness and cold, bathroom was freezing and the noise from other rooms was just not bearable. I don’t recommend the place unless they have the above basic things fixed and updated.
