Beautifully designed room by David Chipperfield Architects-the reason I booked my stay here! The property is historic and well maintained. No matter how wonder the facilities are though, the staff makes or breaks a stay. In this case, the staff made an incredible building even more so with excellent service from the doorman to the front desk staff to the cleaning staff and spa staff. They all took it upon themselves to make sure I was being taken care of during my stay. I am looking forward to a return visit soon!

The hotel was stunning with wonderful amenities, restaurants, and rooms. However I’m giving 4/5 stars as we ran into several issues checking in. We were not initially given the room we reserved. Later we were told we could upgrade to a better room for a fee - which we did. Then we had to wait 3+ hours to move into that room and were told not to unpack from our previous room - so we sat around for 3 hours waiting on our room to be ready and it kept getting delayed which ultimately made us late for reservations we had. When we moved into our ‘upgraded room’ it was the exact same room layout that we had just been in. The staff member in reception who coordinated all of this mislead us into believing we were being upgraded to a larger better room when in reality it was the same room with 2 beds. The entire situation was upsetting, stressful, and delayed us from plans we had made.

The hotel facilities are first class, true to their rating of a 5-star luxury hotel in central london. All places of interests like Oxford Street, Soho, Chinatown, Covent Garden, is within walking distance. The location is super busy but at the same is very quiet.
Their staff are wonderfully warm and welcoming and they always try their best to make sure you have what you need or you know where you're heading. Truly impressive and impeccable services - rates are expensive but the services you get here is worth every penny.

The only glitch was that when checking in the desk failed to mention that I had received an upgraded room and when Hotels.com asked me I said no which resulted in a call from the manager who also sent me a bottle of Champagne. Overall pleasant stay however we had several issues through our stay which makes us wonder if we will visit again. We stayed in hotel second time, the first stay was perfect hence we booked it again. This time the check in took a bit long on arrival, we didn’t had the complementary wine in room which we needed to chase up. The Bluetooth system to connect your phone was a bit clumsy and was disconnecting while playing music, electric blinds time to time didn’t work as well as table lamp we coudnt switch

10th Anniversary Treat
Fabulous hotel in a prime location. All staff were polite, helpful and friendly but unobtrusive. The room was elegant and exceptionally well appointed. We had a great view of Regent Street St James but due to the very good triple glazing we could pick and choose whether we experienced the sounds associated with such a position. The spa is a must as is breakfast! We were wowed by the staircases and lifts too! Thank you to everyone at Cafe Royal for the lovely little touches that made our 10th Anniversary a real treat.

Lovely stay in the hotel cafe royal, in a perfect location for exploring theatreland, shops and cultural London. The room was stylish and people working there were all friendly and efficient, particularly notable were the lady who checked us in and a lady who served our breakfast on the last day. The spa facilities and staff are excellent. We had an amazing breakfast included but were unsure if there was an extra charge for the cooked element but there wasn’t. TV in the bathroom mirror is a smart idea, tv in the room is a little small to see from the bed and we couldn’t work out how to get subtitles. But this minor thing didn’t spoil our five star stay.

My only issue was with the poor service received at breakfast - I was seated then told I had to move as my table was reserved. I waited a long time in the lobby and eventually after Omar stepped in I was seated for breakfast. I was however ignored by several staff members and was waiting a long time for any service all the while customers around me were receiving plenty of attention. Again Omar had to say something to the waitress who finally came over to serve me.

Amazing staycation with my husband we had a memorable experience !! Don't forget to pass by the cafe on regents street ! The spa was also sooo relaxing. Everything in this property is outstanding. Even the dinner was out of this world. Will definitely recommend it and will come back for sure !!

We were on the last leg of a week's worth of a trip with our grandson, and we had activities planned upon our arrival. The hotel is gracious and the staff is kind, but our room was not ready when we arrived at 3:30PM., which I found surprising. No extra bed for the grandson. No view. The worst part? No mirror for grooming one's hair. Typically the bathroom outlets do not support hair dryers or curling irons, so I know I'll have to use an outlet in the bedroom or dressing room, but so help me hannah, I do expect there to be a mirror in the room for fixing my hair. Unacceptable!!

The stay was trully amazing and the entire staff made it even better. The hotel was very clean, the entire staff made it a point to learn about us and get to know our names. They catered to our kids constantly. The spa was also amazing and allowed us to go there with the kiddos during kid hours. They also delivered and picked up our rental car for us. We will be back in October.
