I forgot my injectable medication in my mini fridge and called about it after checkout and was told it wasn’t found and then the front desk staff commented how she was sorry and knew it was expensive even though I never mentioned what type of medicine it was.

Room was very clean. Super quiet, even being right by the elevator. I heard people slightly a few times but nothing major.
At check-in the gal was super friendly. After my last 2 hotel stays, I was cranky with “residents” being mixed in with guests and being kept up all night.
They do not allow long term or repeated bookings for same person.
Definitely will be staying here for my future conferences that are planned on annual basis!

the Room was newly remodeled. Property was clean and all of the staff was very nice. However, they put on a shower rod that the bathroom door would hit when you opened and closed it. There was a hole by the new heating air conditioning unit that you could literally see outside, the listing on hotels.com indicated complimentary breakfast, but there was only breakfast on Saturday and we had to pay for it.

There was no breakfast offered as the Boathouse was not open Monday morning. We had dinner there and the waiter was awesome. The sandwich I got was dry. But when we told them it was not to my liking, they made me a different dish and did not charge me for the sandwich. The room was clean. The room arrangement was strange. The sink was outside the bathroom right by the room door with no towel rack. The enclosed closet was in an awkward place as well. There was another open closet across from the sink, but you could not take the hangers down. Lots of large furniture in the room. We did pay for a river view, which was nice. You do have to put a parking pass in your car to park there overnight. You also have to answer several questions at check-in to acknowledge all their rules. It was a typical tourist hotel. The best part was the restaurant and the waiter.

Breakfast was unavailable on Christmas Day due to the holiday. We did have breakfast when we checked out though. It’s was very good. The room where we stayed was ok. Bathroom too small for my preference. The light in the balcony was out. I suppose for a couple the room size was ok. Beds were comfortable. Not great overall but not too bad.

I never do reviews, but this one could not go unmentioned! The description of the room was not at all what I got. The photos of the rooms on their website make the rooms look bright, clean and welcoming. That is not at all what I was given. They gave me a patio room, which I would have been fine with, but this room was so dark, even with all the curtain open on the small window looking out at the river and all lights on. I was in the room for a few minutes when I heard people talking (and not loudly) from the room next door and it like I sitting next to them I could hear every word. I called the phone number the front desk provided and found that it was an answering service. When I told the woman that I could hear everything from the room next door she offered no response and when I asked if there was another room available, she told me she thought the hotel was full. I tried to make the best of it. But as I started to get ready for the evenings festivities, I started to notice the cobwebs and bugs crawling around on the ceiling. I was so looking forward to a lovely bright room with a balcony and a view and got a dark dirty corner. Needless to say I will never stay there again and will not recommend this place to anyone.

The first room we were given across the street was freezing cold. No one turned the heat on knowing that the room was rented. I turned in on and spent the first hour in my winter coat under the blankets shivering. When I called they said they would send someone in a while, so I went to the front desk. I told them I wanted to move or a refund, i was not going to freeze all stay. I was told that they didn't know why those rooms were open to stay in that they are usually shut down by now because it's cold. Initially they just told me to give it more time to warm up, and I stated that I shouldn't have to be bundled up in my room, and that I wasn't going to make my friends freeze either when they got here. I wanted to be moved or refunded. I wasn't going to go out for the night just to come back to my room and freeze. They eventually moved my room to the main hotel where the room was nice and warm. They didn't even offer a free drink at the bar or anything for my sitting there freezing for over an hour or having to move all my stuff. I would have thought it would have been good customer service to offer something for the trouble. If I do use this hotel again I'll make sure to ask to be in the main hotel.

Had wrong room picture and info on their website and then wouldn’t give me a partial refund (I paid 168$ for a 2 queen room that was supposed to be 2 bedrooms according to their website. While other 2 queen rooms better than mine were 69$ meaning I spent 100$ extra and got a worse room). They also refused to me move me rooms or give me a full refund if I left. Bunch of people who didn’t care and even acknowledged that their website was misleading. But ok guessing it’s misleading on purpose.

I paid an upcharge for a balcony/patio with river view. Well, technically we got that, but our room was on the lowest floor, below the main entrance and lobby, downstairs next to the pool, which was nice. But our view from that room was obstructed by a chain link fence, so to me it wasn’t a great view unless we stood up and looked above the fence. When I returned to the front desk to ask for a different room, since I had paid the upcharge for a room with a view, the desk clerk told me I had paid for “a deck or patio.” I suppose that’s the Gotcha. We paid extra and got a patio, just not the view I was hoping for at this price. The lower floor/downstairs rooms should really have a lower pricing than the upper rooms with full unobstructed views. Also, our room was right next door to the laundry room, and the walls are thin, so we could clearly hear the workers talking early in the morning. Nothing wrong with people talking while working. I just don’t want to wake up next to it on my vacation time and dime. The pool area was very nicely appointed. The hot tub was fantastic. The room was very clean, and we liked the overall property. Just didn’t expect to get an obstructed view after paying the upcharge.

Only good this about this place is \"the vue\" but that doesn't make up for the dirty rooms, paper thin walls, and bad service. The room was decent but didn't feel fully clean. The people next to us were up until 1 am and you could hear every single conversation and they weren't even being that loud.
Went for breakfast at the restaurant and it was completely understaffed. We didn't get a glass of water until after we've been sitting for a half hour.
Not to mention when the food finally came it wasn't even warm. The hashbrowns tasted like they were soaked in water. I ordered an omelet with onion & sausage and the entire thing was all onion to the point I couldn't even eat it. The best thing on the plate was the half toasted bread. You also cannot just order a cup of coffee, it has to be Starbucks and it takes another 10-15 to get that. Overpriced.
Overall very bad experience, but \"the vue\" is beautiful.

The room we got was nothing like it showed to book it (deceitful advertising). It felt like going back to the 80’s. We had to get a fly swatter from across the street at the main hotel for the infestation of them. I wish I had brought a pair of slippers, the hardwood floors were filthy. The AC unit was so high you had to stand on a bed to turn it on and it was so filthy that the bed below it was covered in crap from it. There was no place to sit but a broken down chair. The lighting was dim and at night was difficult to see. No nightstands just floor lamps, one with a broken lamp shade. The only reason we are giving this a 3 star was because the location was walking distance to downtown and the shower was hot and the indoor pool area was nice, which of course was in the main hotel building.

We loved the close proximity to the downtown area. Was great to be able to park our vehicle at the hotel and walk the River Walk to the places we wanted to visit. Will definitely stay here again when visiting the Dells area. We had a beautiful view from our room of the Wisconsin River.

This is not a boutique hotel in any way. The view at the Vue is amazing. Our room screamed old Days Inn. The soap dispensers in the shower were either not working or empty. The door to our balcony didn’t lock. The boathouse was really very nice great deck with a great view of the river. That’d be about the only positive thing I can say about this place is the view of the river is awesome. This is not worth the price.

The room is very small, but comfortable and extremely clean. I would suggest removing the bulky dresser in order to be able to move around the room a little better. Four people would be crowded, but it was just the two of us so it worked out just fine. The view from the balcony is the entire reason we chose this hotel - just beautiful. We were disappointed the restaurant downstairs wasn't open for breakfast, but we did find Denny's Diner on the other side of town, which was delicious! Would definitely stay here again.
