One downside was the earlier closing hours (7PM for restaurants/services/market/beach chairs). When we visited mid-June, the sunset was not until after 8:30.

I stayed at this property with my husband for almost a week. Super quick walk to the beach from our room and the hotel provides chairs and umbrellas. Our favorite amenity was the bikes that they let you check out. We rode the bikes all over the Island and it was wonderful. The staff refreshed our towels every day while we were out so that was really nice to come back to. The only negatives are that there was only 1 mirror in the room and it was in the bathroom and the TV was hard to navigate at first. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay at Sundial.

We were not given the room we originally booked. The lights didn’t work in one room. We had no phone to call the front desk in the room. And had to look up the number and use our own phones. Front desk was extremely unhelpful. Staff weren’t friendly. One bed in our room had a huge dip in the middle. We were not given any access to WiFi passwords. And customer service gave us three different stories and prices when we asked to extend our stay just for a late checkout. The kids were swimming and using the water slide and staff kept turning off the water on it while they were on it. All around, I’d rather stay somewhere that has staff trained with customer service and problem solving skills.

The hotel is comfortable, our room has a full kitchen, which we used. The room is spacious, with a partial ocean view as described.
It has an excellent restaurant, as well as other options inside and outside. Included are multiple amenities, bicycles , kayaks, beach chairs, umbrellas and towels.
Staff is very attentive.
Waves at the beach in late May were a little rough, but you should be able to catch the right time/place. Otherwise it has beautiful shells or just relax…or go to the pool.

We had a one bedroom suite with a partial gulf view no balcony, but it did have sliding glass doors so you can get air. From check-in to check out all the staff was great very friendly and when we had an issue with the window shades on the sliding doors, it was handled immediately.

This property really had something for everyone. If you like action, they have pickle ball, kayaking, paddle boards for free. If you like to just lounge on the beach, chairs and umbrellas are at your disposal. Poolside bingo every afternoon was a plus for my 11 year-old. He even won himself a free ice cream. The on-site restaurants are excellent, but also close enough to check out the local cuisine off property.

A wonderful family and couples beachfront property with a wide range of amenities for all guests of all ages. We had a calming water fountain outside our condo with 3 bedrooms so for the kids and our own privacy. Beautiful white sand beach with clear water and easy biking across the island. We hope to be back soon!

Again took a long time and once we got to the room it was not clean, stains on carpets, light bulbs out, mold around showers. Not what we expected. There was a wedding going on so it was also very busy with those guests. Pool was over crowded.

Very family oriented resort. Lots of daily art activities and games at main pool.
Lots of shells ( think quantity over quality), good to bring water shoes if swimming in gulf.
Room cleaning is every 3 days but you can ask the resort for anything you need.
There is one quieter pool for more of an adult atmosphere.
Overall, the resort was nice for a two bedroom, two bath with kitchen stay.
Be sure to stop by Marketplace for a coffee and the wonderful staff inside.
The island itself seems to be short- staffed and flustered.

Not for older adults. Our unit was about 3blocks from the beach. The unit had a queen bed , very low toilet and a very high walk-in shower. About an 8inch step up into the shower with no grab bars. No towel bars-where do you put wet towel s? No balcony or lanai. We paid a lot for this disappointing stay.

Absolutely stunning property and great location! We used the resorts biked and road around the island exploring its beauty. The pools (there’s many) were so refreshing! There was just so much for the everyone to do. They loved the seashell station after walking the beach to find shells. Would love to come back to this charming island again. The staff, in particular Gary, was unprofessional and let us know this was a condo, not a resort, and does not cater to guests. He was rude, and unwilling to even hear us out. Such a shame, considering the building and location were beautiful. Very incorrect listing in Hotels.com, and even worse treatement.

The resort and location are nice. The room was a condo being managed by the resort, and we had issues with the room. The bed was so bad that I needed to sleep on the couch. The TV only offered four English stations. The refigure door would not remain closed. Very little shower water pressure. It is possible that other rooms are better and don't have these issues, but I will not rebook.

This resort is best for families. The beach is brimming with shells, the pool is perfect for kids and adults. Everything feels clean and new. Really nice to have food options on site. I recommend ordering groceries for delivery from Jerry’s. We loved the access to bikes and tennis. And the fitness center was great too.

Our condo was very clean, beds were comfortable, the restaurants were great and all the staff on the property that we spoke with in person were great. A very fun shelling beach and many other amenities. Any kitchen utensil that we needed was there.
Here's what didn't work:
1-We were told that maid service was every three days when we checked in. We assumed that, at minimum, that meant replacing the used towels at least once. We did not have any maid service during our six day stay.
2-There was only ONE kitchen towel. There really should 3-4! We chose to do our few dishes by hand, only running the dishwasher once, right before we left.

We just spent 5 days. 4 nights with Sundial and would defiantly stay there again. It was clean, staff was attentive and friendly, our condo had plenty of space for our family of 4. The full kitchen and screen in deck were great!! We swam, looked for shells and rode bikes. Sundial was a great hotel for our trip!

Overall it has amazing potential.

Thursday we hung out at the pool all day as my kiddo wanted to participate in the activities. We had to inquire about the craft to get it and the only other thing was bingo. The rest of the activities didn’t take place.

The sheets and bedding are unfortunately the worst part. They feel like paper. While we loved the other parts of the units - we did not sleep well and eventually went out to purchase a blanket.

The breakfast was a large waste of money in our opinion. It’s an expensive low-grade buffet option. The only thing my child appreciated was the omelets. However we adored Shima and Tikis! Both expensive but worth the price.

We appreciated the check in staff and used the bikes a ton! The slide was a hit for all.

We hope that as things continue to open up on the island that sundial will continue to improve as well!

We very much enjoyed our stay here and will return. We came only for one night w/ two kids. There were fun activities for the kids (and adults) by the pool. We got up early and went looking for shells on the beach which was a big hit!

The only issues we had were that 1. we booked a king bed but got a double and this is important bc my 4year old gets in bed with us every night so things were very tight. And 2. The mattress was somehow so loud! Every time someone rolled over or got out of bed, I was up.

So, I would request a different room next time but would come back bc of the great staff, location, fun pool time with the kids and the beautiful beach.

The pool/beach area was amazing! The poolside service was awesome. My only concern was me a senior and friend staying with me a senior were assigned a 4 th floor room with no elevator. It took almost an hour to find a space that had an elevator. Jared the security guy was so helpful. Then for check out the system evidently had an issue and tried to charge me for what I had paid for on Expedia. Loved the resort not the service or convenience

This property was heavily damaged by Hurricane Ian and its been a long recovery. The price I paid to stay there was not related to the condition of the property. Only one pool is open and many buildings unoccupied. Occupancy when I was there was probably 10% but I was put in the farthest building away from the pool and beach amenities and I was on the 4th floor of a building that still has no working elevator. That was not known to me when I booked. I would not recommend staying at the hotel for quite some time until all renovations are completed.

Really great to see property coming back to life after getting hit hard by hurricane Ian a few years ago. The room I stayed in was brand new and very nice. Staff was polite, responsive, and helpful. Great pool area with plenty of seating, drink/food service at your chairs, and the kids loved the water slide. The hibachi restaurant on property was a lot of fun as well.

Inside are great. These condos on the west side should not be open for business. First-The construction workers parking next to you personal vehicle and using power equipment. 2nd we had no hot water, spent most of the morning changing rooms twice.
The first night of dining we were sat at a table with people we didn’t know and very loud and attire was not observed.
3rd, my credit card was charged by Expedia and also by the resort, two times.
I will be reporting that to my banking instruction.
We wanted to make a reservation for the on-site spa for pedicure and the desk said that were not needed. So upon arrival the next day they were booked.

The main pool was closed the entire stay at the resort. The apartment couch was infested with fleas or some type of non-visible insect. Our exposed skin was bitten and burned like crazy. Recommend you fumigate your apartment upon checking-in. Air conditioner worked great.

I booked a partial ocean view room at the Sundial Beach Resort & Spa. I checked in after dark so I could not see the view from the room. I awoke to a view of other buildings. The unit I am in G307 does not face the beach. There are screens on the balcony. There is no way you can see the beach. I went to breakfast it is terrible!! Terrible food quality. Frozen pastry breads, running oatmeal and cold water served for tea. They charge $25.00 for breakfast with tip already added which they doe allot in Florida. Tip is for exceptional service, not mandatory! The facility is old from the 70's & 80's it is struggling hard to be current today. This facility needs to be closed and redone with a major remodel. Customer service is terrible. They told me to call to Hotels.com to deal with them putting me in a room without partial ocean view which I paid for. You are better off staying at a budget hotel then this hotel. I the quality is there no problem to pay. Not worth what they charge. I would say in its current condition this hotel should rent for about $250/night because it on the beach. If it were remodeled, more.

we booked via hotels.com which advertised full services and access to all facilities. however, we were told by your hotels staff we did not have access to all 5 pools, towels, fitness center and the beach loungers/umbrellas. We were told since we booked via hotels.com, Sundial does not get any revenue therefore we do not have full access. The property description is provided to Hotels.com from Sundial so i am told by Hotels.com. either way, a complete dissapointment.

The room we had was a king with sofa bed. Sofa was very old and raggedy, made farting noises when sat on and sunk down. The king bed was so firm and uncomfortable. Could hear the music from pool all the time but, only the base so sounded like constant thunder. For paying over $1500 for 2 nights I expect more. No breakfast as included either.

I really enjoyed direct access to the best beach in the U.S.! The room was great. We had two bedrooms and two bathrooms and it was plenty big enough. I really appreciated having a full kitchen and just about everything you need to \"cook at home.\" We get very tired of eating out all of the time, so it was nice to have a decent kitchen.
