When we asked if there was anywhere nearby we could purchase one, they said, \"no need to waste your vacation time looking for one.\" (Although it was used) they allowed us to purchase theirs. Incredibly thoughtful and considerate of our vacation!

A nice, quaint hotel outside of Basel. We found a parking spot fairly easily. We choose to take a bus into Basel, which was easy and affordable. Just a short walk to the stop. Everyone was very nice and helpful. They worked hard to keep the guests happy. The breakfast was very good. The restaurant was excellent. This is not a business hotel but a nice getaway. We did not use the pool, but it looked nice. The back garden was nice, with a stream running along it. Relaxing. They do have an outdoor hot tub, but the water looked like it needed to be changed out. It was a little green and foamy. The rooms were large and comfortable. The little tables next to the bed were attached to the wall but were sloped and needed repair. Just some minor maintenance issues. Overall a good stay and would stay again.

The location was removed from big city life yet so close to so many places to eat or shop. The entire staff was friendly and went out of their way to ensure an enjoyable stay. The indoor swimming pool, lounge area and breakfast are worth writing home about. We wished we had eaten our evening meal at the hotel restaurant, but instead decided to go into Basel. The menu variety and lower cost at Hotel Jenny made our in town decision regretful. Prior to leaving “Lin” provided us directions on where to park in Basel and suggested places to see which included a small boat ride across the Rhein River for less than $2 a person. Thanks Lin!!! Hotel Jenny is THE PLACE to stay.

A very nice hotel that is quiet, clean and comfortable. I had dinner at the attached restaurant, and it was quite good, as was the breakfast in the morning. The staff was very accommodating. I will stay here again the next time I am here for business.

A very nice hotel. Clean comfortable beds, big rooms, Lovely swimming pool, steam bath and sauna, all kept very clean and well maintained. Plenty of parking space and nice affordable restaurant as part of the hotel. Lovely breakfast and nice staff. Good value for money. Internet worked ok and shower water pressure was sufficient. Feels like the owners take pride in running a good hotel. 15-20 minutes away from Basel, but enough little shops and other restaurants in the surrounding.

Let down by tragically slow wifi connection - we had a file to send and had to get a cab to the nearest hotel with a good connection - at a cost of 50 Euros. Lovely for a 'get away from it all break' but don't stay for business

Very Comfortable with Attentive Staff
During a recent family vacation I had adjoining rooms (for two adults and three children) at Hotel Jenny. The hotel was comfortable and clean, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the breakfast was very nice. The location was not ideal for us though. Coming from Germany, due to both defunct border crossings and construction it was not easy to get to. It was also further from Basel airport than I had expected. While Hotel Jenny is in a very nice neighborhood, you pass through some less nice ones to get there from the German side. Overall I would recommend Hotel Jenny though. It was a good value.

This hotel is a gem! It's outside the city, near a cute French village and is surrounded by rolling hills and has a garden and stream out behind the building. The staff was beyond friendly and the breakfast was great. The room was very clean and overlooked the stream. I wish we could have stayed a few days.

A Nice Stay
Hotel Jenny is conveniently located outside the busy city of Basel in a quiet residential area that provides a relaxing atmosphere. The receptionist was very warm and friendly and provided us all the details we needed for our stay. There is a sauna and pool and site! The garden view from our clean room was very pleasant and the breakfast selection the next morning was an excellent way to start the day. A few minor things kept us from rating everything a '5'. The bathroom soap crumbled as we unwrapped the package and the shower, while pleasantly warm, never became hot. Also, we ate dinner at the hotel's restaurant but were disappointed in the relatively small amount of food we received for the price we paid. Finally, our end of meal mint was a cough drop! This made us laugh more than anything, but those details kept the wonderful experience from being perfect. All in all, Hotel Jenny is a very enjoyable stay.

This was a lovely out-of-the-way place to stay near Basel. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was excellent. Our only minor quibble was that we stayed on a very hot night, and there was no air conditioning or fan provided, so our sleep was pretty poor as we were just too hot.

Superb Family Owned Hotel on Basel, Swiss border!
This gem of a family owned hotel is set in verdant, English style gardens with a stream, green lawns and chaise longues for sunbathing, and a year round pool! The birds' singing and the greenery makes it an oasis while traveling. It is a mere 5 minute walk from the tram into Basel, Switzerland! It has none of the 'plastic' qualities of the chain hotels, a great fresh, French breakfast, and an awesome chef for dinner! The owner is a third generation hotelier in the same location and speaks several languages including excellent English.

We stayed at Hotel Jenny during spring break in March of 2013. It was conveniently located for our travels throughout Germany, Switzerland and France. Wonderful setting -very serene and quiet. Outstanding service, comfort and breakfast as well. Staff was eager to help when needed. Will stay there again if given the opportunity.

We stayed with our 2 1/2 year old daughter for a short break, the hotel is in the country side which was really lovely. The bus into town was easy and the public transport smooth and quick. The hotel was pleasant, only the food was more fish then anything else. Breakfast ok, not much choice and bread ran out too quick. Staff friendly and very helpful, always making sure their guests are happy and have everything they need. The transport/pick up from airport was good, only the driver, also their cheff, drove a little too fast for our liking. But overall we enjoyed out stay and would go back again in the future.

When inquired for time of breakfast the employee tolt it was at 7. We went up early and there was no breakfast. We waited for nothing. At 7:30 the breakfast was ready.
