The staff at Hotel Ostria were so pleasant and helpful and we enjoyed our short stay. The breakfast was plentiful and continental. The hotel is located right across the road from the beach with many bars and tavernas in short walking distance. We also walked into Kalamata centre which took about 20 minutes. It was als easu to drive to from the airport and there is sufficient parking in the local area. The bed was very comfotable and the room was very clean.
We would toroughly recomment Hotel Ostria.

The room was clean but balcony a 2ft strip overlooking a side street . Although plenty of bed side lights no switches to turn on giving a very dim view in room .no minibar no milk sachet for coffee . Breakfast very basic eggs yogurt cereals etc . Bread very dried up cake the same . Dissapointing . No info given. Opposite the beach which was fab

Great location with friendly and hospitable staff. Location is right across from the beach. Having the hotel breakfast across the road from the hotel was a memorable and great way to start the day. Convenient location to the dining options which are plentiful. Rooms are large and well set out. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again.

Friendly and welcoming staff, very good location on the beach front which was perfect for a morning dip, breakfast ok, good value for the area, parking not too hard to find considering the location, our family room had a side sea view and view across to the mountains, most have a sea view, air-con quite noisy. Would definitely recommend as a good place to stay if passing through Kalamata

It is easy to walk in around , the beach is 1 min walking distance restaurants are all open until 1 am and the room was very cleaned, staff was very friendly and easy to communicate.
We highly recommend if you are with family.

Locations was right in thebmiddle of everytjing and on thebbeach and separate eating area by beach. Stagg could not do enough. House keeping were so lovely, kitchen and nar staff top service and kind and they came on to beach to bring you drinks order. All id change is, no food during day or evenings or kitchen.

I really enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and comfortable and staff were friendly and helpful.
Traffic a bit noisy with balcony door open,, so I kept it closed and just enjoyed the superb view of blue sea from the comfort of my room. Swimming in front of hotel was so nice.

A wonderful “old” European hotel staffed with very friendly persons. The location is simply perfect as it is directly across the street from the beach and sits on the boardwalk where you can stroll for dinner every night and make a few purchases from other retailers. Walking distance to city center for even greater shopping options. A lovely option if you are in the Kalamata area. I would definitely return!

Good location - can walk to many places to eat and beach is across the street. Good breakfast. Did not like the deceptive advertising that parking is available. They do not have a lot or valet parking. Instead you must find a space on a street in the area.

The hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was comfortable and clean. The sea view was amazing (highly recommended). The sun beds in front of the hotel were provided without charges and the sea was great! The fact that we could have our breakfast by the sea was incredible touch and comfort!

Kalamata is a hidden gem

Room is simple , but clean and sufficient. We had a sea view balcony. The breakfast is very basic. The location is the best, sea across the street, promenade nearby full of bars, restaurants, shops, bus stop. Our family will come to stay again in this lovely hotel, but we won't take the breakfast.

Great hotel in the perfect location for those who are on a budget and are looking for a simple place to stay with all amenities. Breakfast was perfect, rooms were clean and comfortable, right across the beach. We used the laundry service, which didn’t cost a lot. Found parking on the street. Would stay here again.

Great hotel on the waterfront. Breakfast was excellent with a great range of continental pastries, cereals and fruits as well as a few hot options. View from the balcony was incredible so worth the extra cost to upgrade to those rooms. Lots of nice restaurants in the vicinity.

Brilliant location for the beach and extremely friendly girl on reception who booked a “full” restaurant for us. Unfortunately the original request for a double deluxe with a king size bed wasn’t fulfilled but alternate room was disappointing as air on didn’t work but on request we where given a slight lower spec room which was disappointing but acceptable

Thank you Hotel Ostria 😀

We chose this hotel for our summer break and we not disappointed. You walk out of the hotel straight onto the veranda/beach cafe and onto the beach then the sea. The hotel was equipped with CoVid safety in mind which added to feeling safe. The staff were exceptional, constantly smiling and saying hello. The breakfast constantly fresh and appetising.

Excellent stay, good clean hotel with great sea views. Friendly staff, wonderful breakfast and great location right on the water. Beach chairs you can use for free while staying at hotel. Make sure to walk 20 min to centre of town for dinner! Worth the people watching. Enjoy

Hotel Ostria is in a great location with the beach across the street. Breakfast was pretty good, typical greek hotel variety. Rooms clean and spacious. Only knock was that they do not have hotel parking which their description states. There is free parking on the street but it is misleading to state that the hotel has free parking.

My most recent stay at Ostia Hotel was for 2 nights. Room was clean but missing items to make tea/coffee. When I requested them from reception clerk I was told that as room staff had left for the day I would get items following day. Room staff did provide missing items following morning.
Room had water views which also meant that it had a fair bit of traffic noise at night even with door closed.
Overall my stay was pleasant and I found all staff friendly and very willing to help in any way they could.
I recommend this hotel and I'd stay there again.

The receptionist was in a dreadful mood when we arrived which was something of a shock. He calmed down on day two and made every effort to be pleasant. The proximity to the sea was a bonus. Overall, good value.

The hotel is clean, neat with comfortable showers (comfortable showers is a rarity in Greece). The wifi was not running. Hotel management teams cannot dismiss wifi as \"just another amenity.\" Wifi is important and the hotel needs to upgrade their equipment and contract with COSMOTE in order to ensure proper speed and connectivity. This is year 2017!!!!!

Location is fantastic, and that's about all I can say that's good about this hotel. The water, washroom and towels smelled awful. The \"breakfast\" cannot be called that. It was a few slices of fruit and some cereal. The women who take care of the rooms were super helpful and went out of their way to make sure we were ok, however the hotel needs to provide them with proper cleaning products. The towels smelled like someone's armpit. We towelled off with a roll of paper towel.

A gem in Kalamata

We had a very nice stay after spending 3 weeks traveling in Greece with public transport. The Ostria is right across the street from the beach. There are plenty of restaurants/bars in the area. It is a great location for exploring Kalamata. All the staff were very pleasant & cheerful. Definitely recommended.

It was a good and comfortable stay. Low budget but the location was awesome as in just infront of the sea and great food all along the street. This is the prine location of kalamata. The manager of the hotel was very good and made our stay comfortable. The hotel is clean and stay-able.

This hotel has a lot of potential. The rooms are clean. The staff is friendly. The location is perfect in Kalamata.
The beds were a little stiff, but okay.
The hotel's wi-fi is really bad. Ours did not work on the 3rd floor I barely if just 1 of us logged in. If both of us logged in, it didn't work at all. Same in the lobby. The wi-fi worked fine in the lobby until more than 1 person was trying to use the bandwidth. We went to the burger restaurant next door and had a meal and then used their wi-fi as it was much better.
The property listed \"free parking\". The \"free parking\" is street parking. There is no parking lot. We were lucky to be out of season and find a parking spot easily. I would hate to have to find a spot in season.
To go swimming, you need swimming shoes... Either sandals that strap on or the kind of water-shoes you fit into. The rocks on the beach are painful to walk on. I bought a pair of good strap-on sandals at a store for 10 Euro and had no problems after that.
The beach area, across the street, is very nice with calm and super-clean water.
Note: people in Kalamata do not stop if you step into a protected cross-walk. Head caution when crossing the street and don't rely on the crosswalk for people to stop.

Joli hôtel bien situé pour visiter le site archéologique avoisinant. Pas d'ascenseur et logée au 2ème étage, pas facile d'accéder à la chambre avec une grosse valise. Pratique petit balcon, salle de bain minuscule mais tout est très propre et accueillant. Personnel très gentil et serviable.

Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter/-innen, sauberes Hotel. Sehr zentrale Lage am Meer und an der Ausgangshauptstrasse am Meer. Zu Fuss ca 30 min. Von der Altstadt entfernt. In der Nacht ist die Strasse laut, daher muss man mit geschlossener Balkontüre mit Klimaanlagen schlafen.(gilt für Zimmer direkt zum Meer). Dies hat uns nicht gestört. Dusche hat sehr wenig Wasserdruck und das Bad ist eher klein und schon älter. Alles in allem stimmt das Preis/Leistung Angebot und es hat uns sehr gefallen.
