Small rooms, horrible beds with memory foam mattresses, very inconfortable, rooms cold at arrival. Every move from hotel needs to walk a lot to the first populated street. Bathroom very small and inconfortable. Overrated price for this hotel that has a superbe name. Hotel staff is nice but do not read your opinions

I found the room very noisy, late night bar noise outside until close to 3am, followed by loud trucks before 6am.
The room is very small, the toilet had a leak onto the floor, as if it came from the shower, but you could see it started at the toilet.
The area was great. If you can get a room away from the noise, everything else was good.

Hotel classic room is a bit small without any drawers for clothing or closet for luggage. Hotel is extremely clean. The housekeeping staff are friendly and do a great job! Buffet breakfast staff are amazing and food selection was good. I thought it was included with room rate but my error noted at checkout with charges 20 euros per person per day consumed.

We arrived well ahead of check in time and we were well taken care of by the GH staff. They were always attentive to our needs and very helpful. The location is great...close to everything but far enough away that we had freedom to move and enjoy...also GH is located very close to a fabulous park!

Nice Little Hotel in the Latin Quarter

We wanted to stay in a different part of Paris and we found this little gem next to the Sorbonne and very close to Luxembourg Gardens and a short walk to Notre Dame. Lovely people and great and friendly staff. Delicious and plentiful breakfast. Rooms are small and a bit dated and the bed and pillows were too hard for my taste. The AC definitely works well!!

Fantastic location

My family of 3 really enjoyed staying here. The rooms were small but clean, and the staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. The location was amazing- two blocks from the Pantheon and an easy stroll to Notre Dame and many restaurants. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Great area and the staff was very nice. The room that we stayed in (room 002) was an absolute nightmare and should be avoided at all costs (they charge a premium for it). The room is full of stairs and my wife fell down them holding our toddler. I don’t know how they allow a 200 sqft room that has 8 very steep and narrow steps with no proper handrail be rented out, but that’s Paris I guess? The other rooms on the property are fine, but avoid 002 at all costs.

I would classify this as a boutique property. VERY nice and the staff were all excellent. Convenient to many of the Paris key sites. Very walkable and close to a number of restaurants and bars. We would highly recommend this location and we will return one day.

The photos of the hotel online appear much more luxurious that it actually is. Our room was quite bare bones, without even a closet. For the first two nights of our stay, we couldn't figure out how to turn on the air conditioning. When we finally asked at the desk, they were able to control it from there and had neglected to enable it from our room upon check in. There was also a raw sewage odor that periodically permeated the room. Finally, our room safe wouldn't open the night before we checked out when we tried to empty it. The gentleman at the desk graciously tried to open it manually but couldn't. Someone else came in the morning and was able to open it manually. The location of the hotel is very close to Luxembourg gardens which is beautiful and the panteon. There is complimentary coffee and pastries for a few hours late in the afternoon each day which is nice, but we probably would stay somewhere else next time we're in Paris.

The location is very ideal. It is close enough to major attractions but at a distance from the crowd. There are ample restaurant choices and convenience stores.

The location could not be better. Walking distance to Paris attractions, and the RER train, which takes you to the CGD airport. Surrounded by great restaurants and across the street to beautiful Luxembourg park. Room was very comfortable and well priced, a bit small but that is not unusual for Paris. I highly recommend for business or tourism. I was there on business but when I will be going for pleasure, this hotel will be on the top of my list.

Pleasant Hotel in Latin Quarter

Grand Hotel Saint Michel is a wonderful small hotel in the Latin Quarter. I stayed there during a cold spell in January, and the hotel provided a warm and comfortable respite. My room was large, clean, and spacious. The morning breakfast was very good, comprised of a wide choice of hot and cold items. The hotel has an excellent location, within walking distance of Notre Dame, Pantheon, and Luxembourg Gardens. After a long day of walking around Paris, I slept very well at night, however, if you are a light sleeper I would encourage you to avoid the first floor near the elevator and lobby where there is some evening conversation.

I loved this option in Paris. I’ve been many times and used to live in Paris, and this hotel was a great deal— spacious room for Paris, amazing shower with great pressure, super clean, good location on quiet street but close to main road, easy walk to main part of Latin Quarter, close to Cluny museum. The front desk staff were very helpful, offered information, booked tickets for us to visit the Louvre and for Seina cruise.
The hotel is clean, with AC , daily room cleaning.
The small lounge was cozzy. You could have coffee, tea and cookies earlyafternoon. We were out visiting each afternoon so didn't attend.
They offered breakfast , with plenty of options, good coffee and cold water.
The location is excellent. We had a balcony and could see the top of the Pantheon. The Luxemburg gardens were just a 5 minute walk away.
Easy to get to the hotel from the airport by RER B line.
We enjoyed our short stay ( 3 nights).

An elegant hotel with a view of the Sorbonne. Lovely room with refrigerator, coffee maker, and safe. Bathroom was tight but well appointed, with plush robes, toiletries, and hand held shower in deep tub, The bed was comfortable for two, but did have some sag on the near side. The staff was helpful and spoke Spanish, Italian, German and English. We didn’t take advantage of the spa facilities, but will next time.

We really enjoyed this hotel. Easy and convenient. Several restraunts and bars locally. Close to the Sine to walk everywhere. We walked close to 15 miles a day and explored the whole city. Great option for active people whonjust need a nice quiet place to sleep that is clean and accomodating.

What we loved: 1. location location location, Right next to La Sorbonne, walking distance to Notre Dame and the left bank restaurants on one side and Jardin du Luxemburg on the other side, close to several metro stops; 2. Charming rooms, while small, the bathrooms are remodeled with nice rain showers, and they provide comfy slippers! 3. Very nice and helpful staff: we arrived at the hotel at 12:30, way before the 3pm check-in time, but when they learnt that my teenager child was feeling sick and needed to rest, they gave us a temporary double room to stay until our room was ready. Really appreciate that!
In short we highly recommend this hotel.
