Right on the main square but the square isn't that exciting. Hotel has everything you need and the staff were very helpful. Room was decent and the shower was excellent. Breakfast was ok but it seems you need to get there sharp as not much left in last half an hour. Lots of extras on offer such as beauty therapies and reasonably priced but we were only there 2 nights so didn't use them

Convenient location right on main square. Easy walking in town centrum. Main attractions of Basilica and Ossuary are 3 km away on outskirts but easy drive with free parking. Centrum attractions not touristy and worth visiting. Good local food. Hotel easy to find and parking convenient in lot on side street of hotel.

Was disappointed with this hotel, although the gentlemen at reception tried his hardest. First there was a muck up with our booking, then to find out it was only booked for one night when we had booked for two. Room could do with an update. We were on the first floor looking out to the front to the square, which could be a bit noisy at night. But the worst thing their internet which terrible, dropping out every 30 seconds so if you need internet don’t bother. When I complained I was told to go outside and to use the free wifi that the square offered. I didn’t pay to have to sit outside! Second I found the shower dangerous, which was inside the bath which had very high sides and glass going half way cross which made it very hard to get in and out and of cause when wet made it very slippery, I had to get my husband to help me! Breakfast there could have been more offered for a big hotel and there was not much choice and the same for both days! Sorry but I would not recommend this hotel.

Convenient hotel in Kutna Hora

The hotel was situated on the central square and a short walk from the town railway station. There were a number of restaurants and cafés nearby. Tourist sites were all within walking distance. We did find the room we had to be comfortable but basic with no hairdryer or room safe although these were described as included. The room was equipped with a small fan (there was no air conditioning) and this was welcome given the warm weather we experienced while in Kutna Hora. Breakfast was good.

We had a twin room, it was small but still two people could manoeuvre around. The room was hot when we arrived but opening the window cleared it up. At night it was quiet, the shower and toilet were in separate rooms. The shower was a bath with a hand held shower head that you have to remove to use and the bath itself is quite deep so it is a big step getting in and out. There is a bit of a musty smell in the bathroom. The beds were comfortable and the fridge has a stocked mini bar but I thought it was a little warm. There is a kettle with some tea and instant coffee provided. The lift is really tiny. Parking was either on the street in front of the hotel or around the corner in a small lot behind the hotel. Limited spaces not enough for everyone. Reception was really nice, spoke good English too. Gave us a map and information about the town and location is unbeatable as you are right in the main square. We enjoyed the breakfast, there was some cheese, cold cuts, scrambled eggs, sausages, cereals and breads, a good range of tea including fruit and herbal along with a coffee machine that made cappuccinos and espressos. Overall the accommodation were comfortable, great value for money and make an excellent base for exploring Kutna Hora and Sedlac.

Great Stay in Old Town

The hotel is right in the middle of the oldest part of town. It's just as nice and professionally run as any large chain hotel. Kutna Hora is a small town, so it's pretty close to everything you want to see. Even the Sedlec Ossuary is within walking distance for most people. The only drawback is that they don't have air conditioning, and I happened to be there during a heat wave. However, the windows are large and open fully, so it cooled off pretty well at night.

Great location, right in the middle of the city town square. Walking distance to all major tourist attractions.

The Place itself is not well maintained, rooms are not spotless, wifi not good at all..... staff was nice but breakfast was really bad. Anyways we only stayed one night and spent most of the day walking around the area. Worth the price

Good location

Weather was nice so I had the windows open for ventilation. No fan in the room. First floor room over the street so it was very noisy. The kabob place played music till closing and you can hear everyone's conversations.

Not at all impressed by hotel, very basic, not curtains, just vertical blinds, across from bright square at night, hard to fall asleep. Rained shower curtain, never washed or replaced. Bad WiFi service, although free. Parking is in street or gravel pit behind hotel. Still don't understand why they mount the shower head 2 feet above tub, so you can't stand underneath it. Very old tv, screen one foot square, hard to see from bed. It's a shame, they could do a lot of small improvements to make it better. The location is great.

Faded grandeur

We stayed in 4 different hotels on this trip, and this was the most \"old Eastern Block\" of them all. Very faded grandeur, looks nice from the outside and in a great central location, but no curtains in the room and a double street light outside wasn`t great. And, on a Monday at least, the town was more dead than the Sedlec Ossuary (which is great).

This hotel is by no means a romantic hotel, however it was perfect for what we were looking for. The price was good, as was the location. The breakfast was also really good, and had hot food. Go early though, as we went at the end on the first day and much of the food had run out. We would have liked another outlet in the room, however. There was a fridge in our room which was a nice bonus. On our way to the hotel, all the locals helped us with directions (without us asking) and were extremely friendly. The staff were hit and miss at the hotel, but the city's information centre is right across the street.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Kutna Hora because of both the town itself and the hotel. The location couldn't be better - it's right on the central square in town. Don't, however, let that put you off for fear of noise. Kutna Hora is a very quiet and relaxing little town. The room was perfectly clean and comfortable with plenty of room. It's an older property and some things show their age but nothing was broken and nothing was shabby or dirty as others have implied. Every single staff member we encountered was absolutely friendly -without exception, day and night. The breakfast was wonderful (very typical breakfast in central Europe consisting of cheeses, cold cuts, sliced veggies, fruit, bread, butter, juice, coffee, etc.) There is also a bar and restaurant in the hotel but we didn't eat there, only had drinks. We were so comfortable there we extended our stay! I can't think of a single negative thing to say.

Perfect Location, Great Staff, Great Room

You're not going to get the Four Seasons. If that's what you're looking for and can't live without, you've no business in a quiet little place like Kutna Hora. That being said, Hotel Medinek is a very comfortable place to call home for a few nights. The rooms are a good size (though could do with less furniture, really), there was a mini fridge, a good sized tub/shower, the bed was very comfortable; we have no complaints at all. Everything was very clean though it wasn't all brand new (don't know why people complain about that). WiFi is free throughout the hotel and, for that matter, pretty much the entire city. The staff was always friendly and helpful and the breakfast was perfect. The location is absolutely ideal. We went to Kutna Hora on a whim for a night and ended up staying two and wishing we'd been able to stay longer. We will definitely be back!

Location. Location. Location.

The hotel was a little run down and the room appeared under renovations. Unpainted walls, unfinished light fixtures, etc. etc. but none of this really matters when you take in account the awesome location of this hotel. Kutna hora is a wonderful town and you are walking distance from everything here.

Old hotel but Fine

This hotel is old but they keep it as clean as an old building can be kept. It's not fancy and the beds are thin. You can't get a full size bed... you just push singles together (which leaves a gap so it's not ideal for couples that like to snuggle). What is ideal is the price and it's about a 30 min walk to Charles Bridge. However the roads are really rough on the feet so it SEEMS close but you're feet will get tired. I recommend you wear thick soled shoes with nice insoles if you want to stay here and walk to Prague Castle, etc. I would stay here again even knowing the down side. I don't come to Prague to stay in the hotel so it is all I really required (minus the snuggling).

Praktische Lage für Stadtbesichtigung

Unser Zimmer hinten raus war ruhig. Der Schlafbereich ist etwas älter aber sauber. Es gibt einen schwenkbaren Tischventilator (keine AC). WC separat vom Bad - super! Bad & WC renoviert. Es gibt Seifenspender bei Waschbecken und Wanne und eine kleine Bodylotion, Handtücher angenehm. Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Beim Frühstück kann man auch zu den Tischen im Foyer ausweichen wenn es zu voll sein sollte. Das Buffet bot verschiedene warme Speisen, div. Gebäck, Kuchen, Wurst, Käse, Obst/Gemüse, Cerialien. Zur Stoßzeit war das Angebot teilweise schon etwas ausgesucht.
Die Lage war sehr praktisch: fußläufig alles erreichbar. Mit Bus 801 vom Bahnhof auch direkt zu erreichen (haben uns kurzfristig an der Haltestelle die pid App für Tickets runtergeladen).

Resepsjonen er uinteressert og lite effektiv.

Nejedná se o hotel, ale penzion. Není celodenní restaurace, na pokojích se neuklízí denně. Snídaně příšerná, malý výběr, jako pečivo pouze tvrdé housky. V bábovce bylo víc éček než mouky. Druhou noc byl vítr a ve dvoře (kam byla okna) měl jakýsi přístřešek uvolněnou plechovou střechu, takže klid na spánek byl stejný jako na kontejnerovém překladišti.

Idéalement situé au coeur de la ville. Les centres d'intérêts de Sedlec sont à 2 kilomètres environ. Très bon accueil en anglais. Personnel professionnel et sympathique. Possibilité de se garer gratuitement devant l'hôtel .Il y a très peu de places et il faut être chanceux comme je l'ai été. La réception remet une carte de stationnement à mettre sur le tableau de bord précisant que nous logeons à l'hôtel. Chambre simple (n°118) sans climatisation et avec de gros radiateurs. Petit déjeuner buffet correct. Nombreux restaurants à côté.

Hotel je situován přímo na náměstí v Kutné Hoře, takže jste v centru dění. Všude je to kousek a všude si dojdete. V hotelu nám chyběla asi jen klimatizace :-). Perzonál byl milý, pokoj pěkný, uklizený, čistý. Vše bez problémů.

+ Hotel na skvělém místě, super parkování před hotelem, snídaně bohatá.
- čistota by mohla být lepší (záclony - pocákané od kafe či čeho, v restauraci otrhané závěsy) na můj pobyt to vliv nemělo ale hotel by se mohl zamyslet nad tím, dotahnout trošku tyto věci do lepšího stavu, určitě by se tak zlepšila atmosféra.
Ačkoliv žádný problem nebyl, obsluha byla skvělá, tak i přesto budeme příště hledat jiné ubytování.

Das Haus kann man empfehlen, doch es ginge besser

Als wir ankamen, war im gesamten Haus Stromausfall, wodurch wir kein Zimmer beziehen konnten (alle Daten waren im Computer gespeichert). In der Zeit konnten wir aber unser Gepäck von den Rädern nehmen und selbige sicher einstellen.
Der Strom kam nach einer Weile wieder und alles ging seinen Gang. Allerdings entsprach unser Zimmer keinesfalls der Kategorie \"Superior\". Ein Restaurant gibt es im Hotel nicht, aber in der tollen Stadt herrscht daran kein Mangel. Eine Bar ist allerdings vorhanden, die aber schon 21.30 Uhr geschlossen hatte.
Das Frühstück war o. k.

Starší městský hotel, po rekonstrukci, v dobrém stavu, 100% čistota a ochota personálu, poloha uprostřed města - jako plus je všude kousek, kavárny a restaurace otevřené do pozdních hodin, jako mínus může být občasný hluk z náměstí, ale s tím je nutno počítat a není to chyba hotelu. Z nádraží Kutná Hora Město je to cca 10 minut chůze. V okolí dostatek restaurací, kaváren, bankomaty, večerky. Cesta k chrámu zabere cca 15-20 minut pomalým tempem.

J’ai sélectionné cet hôtel pour son emplacement, bien qu’il était un peu en dessous de ce à quoi je suis habituée.
Nous avons été super bien accueillis et avons bénéficié du stationnement de l’hôtel.
La configuration de la chambre nous a un peu étonnée car mon mari et moi avions chacun un lit 1 place, comme les enfants. La douche n’avait pas de rideau. Vraiment très basic comme chambre et très « vintage ». Le déjeuner inclus est passable.
Je dirais que l’amabilité du personnel et l’emplacement adoucissent un peu l’expérience.

Hodně muziky za málo peněz

Není to hotel, kterým oslníte, na druhou stranu za rozumný peníz nabízí naprosto dostačující ubytování v centru Kutné Hory. Navíc s možností parkování, a to se cení.
I když byly vidět stopy zubu času, pokoj byl čistý a vše fungovalo. Překvapila samostatná koupelna a WC, v koupelně jsme měli vanu.
\"Výhled\" byl do zdi protějšího domu, ale zase jsme měli klid.
Recepční byly všechny milé.
Ohledně stravování: snídaně tak akorát, ovšem pokud si budete chtít dát oběd, doporučuji využít nějakou restauraci ve městě, my si z omezené nabídky nevybrali (tzn. nevím, jestli vaří dobře nebo ne).
Celkově hotel doporučuji.

naprosté překvapení výborné, starší hotel co se snaží jít s dobou, vše čisté, personál milý, parkování zdarma hned u vchodu,dvojpokoj za výbornou cenu s bohatou bufetovou snídaní, naprostý klid v noci. Památky v pěší dostupnosti. Byla jsem sama se třemi dětmi. Určitě se vrátíme.

Hotel má výbornou polohu v centru města, v okolí většina významných památek, klidné prostředí. V hotelu nefungoval výtah - podle recepčního první den, podle recenzí na internetu už minimálně týden. Na opravě výtahu nikdo nepracoval. Během 3denního pobytu pokojská ustlala a vysypala odpadkový koš. Nevytírala, neluxovala, nedala čisté ručníky, nedoplnila čaj a kávu.
