Tranquilty Bay was a great spot on Marathon! Perfect for families (we stayed in the 3 bedroom villa) with lots of space for everyone. Do wish the property had a restaurant for breakfast but otherwise, enjoyed our stay very much!

We had such a great stay here! The views were beautiful, the pools were amazing, and the private beach was one of our favorite parts—it was absolutely beautiful and so relaxing.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect, close to everything we wanted to do.
We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back. Highly recommend!

Before we took the bags into the room we decided to check it out first. What we do with most trips. Thank goodness. There were cockroaches on the bathroom floor. The carpet worn and dingy looking. Decor uninspired. The pool by the unit the size of a hot tube. Parking very tight. Don’t see how on earth they got a 8.8 review. So grossed out by the unit canceled on the spot.
It’s tranquility Bay for roaches.

The property location view is beautiful that is what you pay for, we stayed in the 2 bedroom villas and they are well past their prime and in need of a major update, everything is old, outdated and rundown.

The adult pool needs new umbrellas ours broke while laying under it, things in the villa didn’t work and seemed like everything f was from the originally opening date but, too much to list just know that going in. The sunset views are stellar but, we won’t be back until it’s renovated.

The room and beach were beautiful! The room was quiet and comfortable—the balcony was a great way to unwind. Check in could use improvements—the attendant was busy texting in a back room and we had to yell to get her attention. Our room was upstairs (no elevator) and no assistance was offered. The maid service made the beds and left clean towels but did not vacuum the sand we had tracked in.

The service at this hotel was some of the worst I’ve ever encountered. There was no one available to help with luggage, which was a huge issue since the rooms involve very steep stairs and there is no elevator. Additionally, the showers are very outdated and quite dirty. Overall, this was definitely not the experience we were hoping for. Very disappointing, and the staff was extremely unpleasant

My hubby and I absolutely loved this place. The pool was super warm and huge!
My only complaint was not for the resort or its employees, but in the other guests that ignored the policies of no smoking and no glass in the pool area. Super frustrating to smell cigarette smoke all afternoon in the pool area and the guests that were so disrespectful to the other guests by continuing to smoke. The guy that dropped his glass bottle at least picked it up but, I am sure there will be some small shards that may cut someone. I am not trying to be a karen but, seriously, follow the rules!

The grounds were so beautiful...paradise on earth! Tiki Bar was fantastic...great food options especially for families/kids with quick service, and the absolute best view, especially at sunset. Pool was so big, beautiful and warm with plenty of chairs available. The pool towel system needs to be reconsidered, as we would have liked fresh towels throughout the day, especially going between beach and pool with only one towel all day. Rooms were spacious, quiet and clean. Very comfortable beds.

Pools closed earlier than advertised. You can’t bring outside food or drink onto the public areas of the property but it took an hour to get one sandwich at the Tiki Bar. Once it came, we had a total of three drinks and shared the sandwich. $90. I reduced it because it took an hour but they still tried to bill me full with non-negotiable , automatic tip even though I reduced it when I signed.

All 3 pools were beautiful, I loved the surrounding landscape. The two bedroom / 2.5 bath villa was wonderful. I loved sitting on the villas deck each morning to drink my coffee and enjoy the palm tree ocean view. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals! I would definitely recommend.

We had such a wonderful stay at Tranquility Bay Resort in Marathon, Florida! This was the perfect place for a family getaway. The property is absolutely beautiful — the charming white buildings give it such a clean, coastal feel and everything is so well maintained.

Our family especially loved the beach and the pool area. The pools were great for relaxing and for the kids to enjoy, and the beach was peaceful and perfect for soaking up the Florida sunshine. Everything felt very clean, cute, and welcoming.

If you’re looking for a relaxing spot in the Florida Keys that’s family-friendly and beautiful, I would highly recommend staying here. We made some great memories and would definitely come back!

Unit needs work. Put us at the end of the resort probably bc I booked thru a third party(Expedia). Smell of sewage prob seaweed. High price food and drinks at beach bar. Tractor on beach in middle of day removing seaweed for 5 day in a row. They allow a tractor noise but no music allowed. .
Maid service was good. Liked that the units had a full kitchen (only reason I booked it) Food was good but over priced.
Need to upgrade the Butterfly cafe ( which no one ate at) to a sports bar. Needs to be a bit more lively. We are in our 60’s but still like to have a good time.

Absolutely not worth the high price with added “Resort Fees” - what resort?? Beds comfortable but the room was fraying at the edges & smelt strongly of disinfectant. The access bands were tricky to operate and we were locked out of our room before checkout time. Our room was in the 2nd floor with an inoperable elevator. Uncaring and dismissive staff together with the lockout took the rating from a 3 to a 2. I cannot understand the ratings your site gave this place and it makes me distrustful of you as a site. This place was worse than a cheap motel - at least then you know what you’re getting into. This place was a huge disappointment.

We didn’t realize the room we were given was going to have so many stairs, and I recently had knee surgery. After seeing this, we requested a first floor room. The only one they said was available had no outdoor space and was right next to a children’s pool. Is this because they only designate certain rooms for Hotels.com? The resort was so large and so many rooms looked empty.

We loved the hotel overall with a few issues to note.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful whenever needed. All of the staff at outside tiki bar/restaurant were absolutely great. Food was excellent and entertainment was great. Pool near beach was great, clean and well kept.

Few hiccups:
One day before we cancel date received email notification that main pool would be under maintenance all week. Did remove resort fee and provided two free drinks for inconvenience. Also provided letter to use pool at sister resort site which we did not get to use.
Room was clean each day, but service missed cleaning on last night there but left two clean towels. Seemed to have run past 5PM set complete times.
No breakfast was provided in restaurant on mornings and had coffee for cost via a coffee machine. Had offer to order food to room which we did not use.

The issue was that we paid over 600 for one night. Checked in around 5pm and pools were already closed by 6pm. Woke up the next morning with hopes of using pools prior to departure and find out our bracelets had already been deactivated prior to check out time. So called “beach area” seemed small and dirty. Not worth the high rate! Would never stay here again!

The good..
Nice location, central to many options outside of resort.
Curbside appeal, with the look of a nice property.
Cute, well laid out housing..
Clean property, well maintained, with exceptions.
Amenities are sufficient, if available.

The bad…
Furniture is well used to worn out.
Beds are worn out.
Appliances are well used, work poorly.
Restaurant and bar are overpriced
Trickery at the front desk.
No management in sight.

The ugly…
Main pool under construction
Beach dirty and covered in sea grass
Putting green covered in debris
Construction al over the property.
Construction materials and debris everywhere.
Loud construction work in progress.
Rude staff
Rules on top of rules.

Amenities...no lights after 6 pm....hard to do anything in the complex....when sun goes down you cannot enjoy evening outside thus there are only few lights so you cannot do anything at the beach. It would be nice if they would have bunch of torches/light thru-out the complex....it would be reaĺly enjoyable.

No food service on-site/no cooking restaurant...everything is being brought from different restaurants. Yes - it gets delivered but I would prefer a pool drink/food service.

The bigger lagoon pool is not heated so it was really cold to swim in. The small pool was warm but no directional signs to find it.

We just thought it was really cute on photos but reality is much different.

Did not eat at the resort. There are lots of choices outside the resort. The property is beautiful and under constant care. We had a septic smell the first night that actually made my throat hurt but this was gone the next day. The shower pressure is terrible and could benefit from new shower heads. (recommend Drivse). Could use some entertainment. Live band or DJ. This is a beautiful resort and perfect for families. I would definitely stay here again. We stayed in a 2 bedroom 2.5 bath room.
