Very nice place to enjoy peace and comfort. The pool is cool, and there’s a more or less private beach. Swimming there is not encouraged, but perfectly possible if you take good care not to go in to far. Staff is super friendly and cooperative. Restaurant is above the average we experienced on CV. Centre of town only 200 escudos away. Great place. Recommend it.

The ocean view and the sound of the waves from casa do sol made it a very relaxing stay. All staff members were very helpful and polite. The only thing that I think needs improvement is the standing shower in the bathroom. It looks a bit old and rusty.

The pool was nice . Rooms is small and the price was to high .they charge per person and not per room. Not safe, anyone can come in and ask for you ,they’ll send them to ur room . There was a rude security at the door. They don’t allow u to park in front of ur room.

Proximity to the beach is great!
Restaurant is only open in the morning- lunch and dinner is by reservation. But when we tried to make a reservation, the cook said no as he is the only cook on the property and he was going home. The property is a good walk away from other places so Dinner was a no go our first night. Also, I find the fake grass tarmac by the pool to be tacky. I felt like I was playing miniature golf- without the golf.

The setting is stunning. The pool is lovely and the black sand beach is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. The staff is friendly and accommodating and the rooms became our home away from home. We enjoyed meeting other guests from around the world. We will be back!

I didn't expect such a wonderful place to stay in Cape Verde. The air conditioning worked well, as well as the internet, electricity, and water pressure. The location is beautiful with palm trees and other tropical plants. We enjoyed walking down to the beach on the stairs, but those who are afraid of heights might not enjoy the view as much. The rooms had little kitchenettes that allowed us to fix ourselves a little bit of food.

Nice hotel slightly outside of town, with a short walk or easy taxi service into town. At check in we arranged a guide and transportation to take us up the volcano. Staying at Casa Do Sol, climbing the volcano, and being on Fogo was the highlight of the three islands we visited (Praia and Sal being the other two). The room was somewhat simple but clean and large enough for a family of 4. The pool was nice to sit by. There are stairs down to the black sand beach.

This hotel sits on the outside of town & is about a 15 minute to walk from the hotel to town. The rooms are very basic but yet clean. The pool area is okay but you cannot bring any food drinks inside.

Beautiful property overlooking the Atlantic

Casas do Sol is a lovely little tourist village overlooking the ocean, with a stunning location. The island of Brava is visible right before your eyes, and there is an easily accessible black sand beach just a short walk down a series of staircases along the cliff side. The hotel boasts a refreshing pool, but be aware that it’s often full of children from the village whose parents pay to use the pool. The rooms are well-equipped with a kitchenette, but they could use a fresh coat of paint as the walls were very scuffed up. Overall this was a great stay with nice, powerful A/C, a good variety of breakfast options, and in close proximity to both the airport and the center of the village. The staff were excellent and friendly, and even offered to drive me to the airport free of charge. For those arriving, make sure you don’t get taken advantage of by taxi drivers at the airport - pay a maximum of 300 escudos for the ride to this hotel. Also, if you are looking for a tour to Fogo, I went with Qualitur who run daily trips to the volcano for a very reasonable 3000 escudos (compared to a private taxi at 10000).

Die Anlage ist schon etwas älter, aber sauber und ordentlich. Für ein paar Tage auf Fogo ausreichend, wenn auch nicht besonders charmant oder komfortabel.
Das Personal war äusserst freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Frühstück sehr reichhaltig.
Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, empfehlenswert!

Très bon établissement , un accueil chaleureux par le directeur et son équipe. La vue est incroyable, la piscine plutôt spacieuse et agréable, et nous avons adoré l accès direct sur la plage de sable noir. Le petit déjeuner avec vue est bon et copieux.

Charmant hôtel sous forme de bungalow en rez-de-chaussée chacun avec sa terrasse privative séparée des autres. Jolie végétation et belle vue sur la mer. Accueil agréable. Accès à la plage sable noir par un escalier. Juste à côté. Je lis et grande piscine. La seule chose selon moi c'est que le buffet petit déjeuner n'est pas du tout à la hauteur du standing de l'hôtel. la mer.

Un bonne halte un peu excentrée de la ville

Un petit bungalow avec kitchenette, une grande piscine, l’hôtel face à la mer ( dangereuse) en haut d’une falaise. Du personnel très agréable, serviable et souriant. La basse saison en octobre. C’est plus facile d’avoir une voiture.

È un angolo di paradiso. La struttura è tenuta benissimo. Personale molto accogliente e colazione ottima. È un po' lontano dalla cittadina ma si può fare una passeggiata oppure prendere facilmente un taxi. Si può andare direttamente in spiaggia e molto piacevole anche la piscina con ombrelloni e lettini. Relax garantito.

Einfache und saubere Unterkunft auf Fogo mit einem sehr guten Frühstück, welches uns auf die Wanderungen vorbereitet hat.
Zwar etwas außerhalb, aber alle Restaurants und Geschäfte sind gut zu Fuß zu erreichen.

Le cadre est splendide, au calme face à l'océan. La vue sur l'île voisine de Brava est magnifique. Un peu excentré mais en 15 minutes à pied vous êtes dans le centre de Sao Felipe. L'établissement a sans doute connu des jours meilleurs : le restaurant n'ouvre que pour le petit déjeuner, la piscine n'est pas correctement entretenue, le wifi ne fonctionne pas dans les chambres proches de la piscine. Du laisser-aller alors que cela pourrait être un petit paradis

Die Unterkunft war wirklich super. Das Personal war sehr nett, die Anlage selbst ist schön und sehr gepflegt. Die Zimmer sind auch sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet. Das Frühstück war auch sehr gut, im Restaurant konnte man auch zu Mittag und zu Abend essen. Insgesamt ein sehr gutes Hotel, in das ich jederzeit zurückkommen würde.

Parfait pour la piscine

Nous étions en couple avec nos 2 enfants de 5 et 7 ans.
L’hotel est situé en retrait de la ville et surplombe l’ocean. On rejoint le centre ville en 15 min à pied en passant par la ville ou par le plage de sable noir qui est magnifique mais dangereuse pour la baignade.
La piscine est très sympa avec 2 bassins dont 1 parfaitement adapté aux enfants. Beaucoup de locaux viennent y passer l’apres midi (entrée à 5€) ce qui facilite les rencontres et les échanges.
L’accueil a été très serviable et en français.
On nous a aidé dans nos déplacements, location de voiture etc...
le petit dej n’a pas été le meilleur de nos vacances mais reste tout à fait correct.
La chambre est simple et propre. L’endroit est calme et parfait si le critère piscine est recherché

Amazingly friendly staff, they organize eveything for you: taxi, lunch bags if you go on the volcano, shower even after check out, airport transfer and so on.

The apartments are perfect, and have a big bathroom. The pool is clean and quiet.

Breakfast is rather simple but okay.

Great place as a base on Fogo

Very friendly host, without being pushy. He helped us organizing our trip and excursion, had useful tips, and as a nice touch there was a little souvenir. The pool was under maintenance during our stay, and he did whatever he could to compensate for that. The premises have beautiful gardens, and there's a fantastic view over the black beach. Good breakfast.
