Overall the experience was good. The first night was uncomfortable as the box spring was missing a support leg, causing the bed to sag. They moved us to a different room and that room was much better. The staff were great in accommodating our change.
The location is excellent for visiting Darling Harbour. Close to public transport for getting around.
Having a kitchen was great to enjoy some meals at the unit.

The staff were super helpful and were trying their best. They need more training, resources and support. We got a complimentary room upgrade and the room was dated, with the soap, shampoo, etc dispensers missing. The balcony door didn't close properly so the noise from the street came through all night long. We had a room booked for another stay and decided to cancel and try our luck elsewhere.

Wonderful friendly staff. However our room had a consistent water leak from the very aged air conditioning. Carpet was soaked. Although a perfect location, the accommodation is in need of urgent upgrades including furniture. Stained lounges and unstable dining chairs are clearly showing their age. Usually I would not leave negative feedback for somewhere we choose to stay when in Sydney, however the cost of staying here does not reflect the service provided.

Comfortable bed, clean bathroom and kitchen. Housekeeping cleans everyday and change towels daily. Staff are helpful. We feel safe during our 4 night stay, you have to use a room key to open the door of the property as well as the elevator. Overall, we has a pleasant stay.

Place is at a very convenient location for Sealife Sydney etc. Room was clean and amenities were good too. However we were on L1 and the noise from the bar across road and traffic was too loud to let us sleep for most part of the night.

Good place to stay in the city close to everything. Short walk to Darling Harbour. Not far to get to SCG. The room was spacious and well equipped . We were able to leave our bags and freshen up before a lunch event. An enjoyable stay.

Really nice people working there and high points for cleanliness. The property itself is starting to show its age a bit. First apartment the AC didn't work. They were super happy to change us to an apartment where it worked well...but the shower dripped. No parking which is a bit of an issue. No restaurant or anything like that but good location and roomy. A lot of traffic noise. Probably wouldn't book it again but good staff and they've optimized the property they have.

The unit is well located and equipped, during the weekend a lot of noise from other occupants and the street noise was quite noticeable ,mind you we were on the first floor .
The building overall is in need of some upgrades, reasonably clean and comfortable nevertheless the staff were very friendly and helpful and we did enjoy our visit as we were really only in the unit to sleep.

Property is in a great location, close to shops, dining, transport and kids activities. The room could of been cleaner ie carpet and bath towels were not always clean. Dishwasher was in apartment but no washing tablets were provided. The apartment has everything you need and the location makes up for the pitfalls.

From entering the room, the door handle was broken, the immediate smell was of someone must have urinated on the carpet. The fabric lounge was grubby, the vinyl chairs were cracked and torn. The cooktop was cracked through and dangerous for use. The aircon was spilling air that smelt dirty, upon inspection of the filter it was filthy and clogged. The bathroom had a build up of gunge around the toilet and vanity. The wardrobe was unusable to hang clothes as it had a huge hot water system in it. The toilet cistern plastic was breaking down with age and chemical use and crumbling. The double glazed sliding doors were off their track and did not seal out the noise: note: this room on level 1 overlooking one of the busiest intersections in Australia meant I got no sleep.

This place is Amazing as long as you DONT have small children. There is no elevator to enter building so you need to carry a pram up a flight of stairs.
Then;
The rooms are extremely dangerous for small children as it’s a completely open floor upstairs. A child could easily fall through the massive gaps in the metal rails off both the 2nd floor &
stairs going up. We ended up sleeping on the sofa bed downstairs as we were too worried our toddler would fall over which i am surprised hasn’t happened yet.

This place is fantastic for adults, clean friendly has everything you need... It just shouldn’t allow small children in bookings in my opinion.

The property wasn’t at all clean, there was period blood all over the toilet, hair all through the bath, the couch had stains all over it, ash all over the balcony. We had a drunk tradies try to barge into our room at 2am in the morning. The balcony was tiny not enough to even have a chair, the room was very small and the staircase and balcony not at all safe for children. The only good thing was the location.

The location is great, an easy walk to Cockle Bay, Darling Harbour and the city. The bathroom looked dirty and the hot water wasn’t turned on - I had to find the fuse box and found that the switch for hot water was off. Also the shower head was terrible - all spray and no water pressure. The bathroom and bed are upstairs, so not great for anyone with mobility issues. Good size kitchen and lounge area.

Loved the fact that the rooms had wonderful views of darling harbour. Rooms needed some attention to detail. Bathrooms needed a good clean. The lounge was comfortable, but needed some soft pillows as the arms were uncomfotable to lean on. Aircon wonderful. Quite expensive for the two night stay. Great location, 5 mins walk to the Aquarium. Really good facilities for families - kitchen, washer/dryer, cot, foldout bed, bath/bath mat. The upstairs bedroom is an open loft style with wide spaced bannister so not suitable for children under 4. Our 18mth old stayed downstairs and we policed access to be stairs. We were on the 3rd floor and though you could hear the traffic it was fine for sleeping and the location more than outweighed the noise. The two younger guys at reception are amazing - Ariaf (sp?) was so lovely and assisted with street level access with my pram so I didn’t have to carry it up the stairs. Would stay again, thank you.

Location is great and size of the room is great. We made up the sofa bed for our 5 year old and found a band aid under the sheets. The spare blankets also had hair all over them. Bathroom is quite dated, meaning it felt a little dirty, but still good for the price we paid.
Somewhat poor communication from the front desk staff when we checked in. To their defense, there were a few others there checking in at the same time so they were trying to work through them quickly. They did not explain the parking to us, we saw that they had an agreement with Wilsons and had parked in a Wilson's car park less than 200m away, but found out this was the wrong one when we asked them to validate our ticket. Turns out there's another one in the other direction down the road. I feel this should be checked on check in, but was not even mentioned.

My husband and I have stayed at Metro Apartments twice this year, we absolutely love the rooms, they're somehow cosy and spacious at the same time! Always nice and clean, the staff are wonderful, very friendly and helpful.
Location is great as well, a short walk from either QVB light rail or Wynyard station so getting there is easy. Darling Harbour, Madame Tussaud's, Sea Life Aquarium, Wild Life Sydney Zoo, and all the bars and restaurants around the harbour are within view of your balcony no matter what level you're on.
If shopping is what you're in Sydney for then you're in a prime location to take a short walk to Westfield Sydney, Pitt St Mall, QVB, MidCity Shopping Centre, The Dymocks Building and The Strand Arcade.

Could actually be a pretty good hotel if they actually spend some money on it. but it's one of those places where you just know the owner doesn't give a crap and is happy to run it into the ground before changing anything.

Dont stay here if using a pram, especially if you are on your own! Only entrance to the building has a steep flight of stairs and no ramp. Also if using their crib bring your own cot sheet, they only supply normal bed sheets for it, not sids safe at all. Other than that the unit was nice enough and an easy stroll to the boardwalk.

Down fall is that from 9pm onwards it gets really loud from the drunk crowds outside shouting so if you are looking for low level noise so you can fall asleep this may not be suitable location but if you don't mind the noise its ideally within walking distance to Darling Harbour

Great location, minutes walk to Darling Harbour & very reasonably priced. This is a fairly old building but has had some minor renos done at some stage. Staff are friendly and welcoming, apartment serviced daily & spacious living area. Loved going to sleep with the lights of Darling Harbour from the mezzanine floor bedroom (not safe if you have small children). Bed was very comfortable and bathroom has bath as well as washer & dryer. Downside is it can get very stuffy in the raised bedroom but an air conditioner is installed. Definitely stay there again!.

The room was clean,spacious & comfortable. However, the room was also VERY noisy due to 'construction' or 'destruction' work going on in the building next door ALL NIGHT & EARLY MORNING!! Traffic noise would also be a problem if you are a light sleeper (though at least that died down about midnight). Until the work next door is complete I could not recommend staying here for a relaxing night.🤔

We found the apartments to be conveniently located, comfortable, and clean. Some of the facilities are a bit dated, and the shower is awful, but overall it was a good place to stay with kids. I'd stay there again and recommend it to others.
