We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help. Breakfast was great with plenty of choices. The kids’ zone, pool area and private beach access were perfect for our family with a 2-year-old toddler.

Check in, room not ready, said an issue with the aircon and would text me in 20mins when room ready. Offered complimentary buffet to make up for it. 20mins later, no text. I go to the desk to follow up, the man just puts two cards in front of me, no sorry, no nothing. We needed to nap our 2yo and not having our room ready until 5:45pm was extremely frustrating. I emailed twice in the months before to request a cot in our room. Both times it was confirmed. Arrive to the room, no cot. We called twice for the cot, nothing - I had to go to the desk to ask for it again. Didn’t get a cot until 9pm.

Complimentary dinner - I tried to confirm a time 3 times, 2 times in-person another time by email - no one could confirm. I get a call just before our requested time when already made plans elsewhere as we didn’t want to risk coming back to Sentosa if there wasn’t a confirmed booking.

For breakfast included, the 1st time we attempted to attend, we were told it was full and sent to an overflow buffet which didn’t have as many options. The other 2 days had the same too full issue so went elsewhere.

Checkout, asked for help to get 7 luggage bags down on a trolley. The hotel staff asked if we prebooked a trolley. Said it would be 30min wait for a trolley at 230pm. Had a car booked so we had to lug our own bags to the lift and wrangle kids down the long corridor to get to level 5 without help.

All round, it seemed everything was too hard and we weren’t valued guests whose time mattered.

we stayed in 2 seaview rooms on the 10 flr with two grandchildren. The view is fantastic, rooms are functional, well kept and clean.

Our 3 yrs old grandson son enjoyed the swimming pool and the beach. It’s my nth stay at this hotel and have brought my children here when they were young and also a few company retreats here. There is no lack of activities for the kids.

Breakfast was very good with among the most number of choices of food. Besides the kid’s corner, there is a baby corner too - well thought out - must be commended. There is a total of 7 coffee machines - no queue - queuing for coffee is a typical issue in many hotel. Also all food stations are manned by chefs and there is plentiful of service staff helping customers.

We stayed at banyan mandai rainforest resort in Singapore a month earlier. in comparison, banyan has many teething issues, breakfast and service are at best mediocre. Banyan is also overpriced 600+ per room versus shangri-la less than 500.

Check in was very slow and queued for an hour. The room is comfortable and the breakfast was enjoyable with a good spread, but the Chinese food items can be improved. The celery juice ran out more than an hour before the end of the breakfast time and was never refilled to my disappointment. When there is high occupancy the staff should probably make an effort to refill drinks and food items.

Had a great time and especially the morning house keeper Mei Ling. I dunno if I spelled it correctly but she is a ray of sunshine! She is a keeper! She loves what she does and she is kind to us. The buffet was spectacular but one of our companions slipped on the floor and was not offered any compensation but a bag of cold compress. The pool is good, the staff at the resto were attentive. The the Tarik guy is A+ also the guy who was serving koi roti.

Views from all over the hotel were stunning. Great pool area. Lots to do right at the hotel, but the island is home to many entertaining options.

We stayed for 2 nights in a Deluxe Seaview Room while traveling with our 1-year-old girl. We had originally booked a Panoramic Seaview Room but after requesting a baby cot, we were informed that the room couldn’t accommodate one. The team kindly moved us to a Deluxe Seaview Room instead — though the bathroom was smaller and didn’t have a bathtub, the cot fit comfortably beside the bed. Something to keep in mind if you’re traveling with a baby.

The room itself was clean and well-maintained, and we loved how family-friendly the hotel is. The recreation facilities are fantastic — thoughtfully designed with different zones for different age groups. Breakfast was another highlight with an impressive variety of choices and even dedicated corners for kids and baby food.

Staff were really friendly. Rooms were clean. Buffett was varied. It is a family friendly hotel. In terms of increasing to a 5 star review the rooms could do with a bit of updating, particularly the bathroom. The lobby was a bit plain. The dinner options were basic in terms of one of the restaurants whose menu did not show pictures or the ingredients. They did ask about allergies but when we ordered the meal we didn’t expect the dish to be so spicy. Also the laundry didn’t really clean our clothes. They came out smelling less favourable than they went in. Overall the swimming pool and beach were excellent and the morning breakfast is great. The outside decor with the lights and waterfall also made the hotel more magical. We loved this

Very clean, spacious, and well organized room. Every hotel staff member I came across was attentive and friendly. The only thing I would comment on was the duration of our check-in. I stood in line for at least 20-25 minutes and at the counter for another 20 if not more. The system couldn’t locate my booking reference due to their recent system updates. Not a big deal but I wish I didn’t need to take almost an hour just to check in. Overall I had a great time and it felt like a true mini getaway vacay away from the city!

It’s a nice hotel, we didn’t have any issues with staff, they were friendly and adhering to any request we had except for one instance.

Big big big reminder! We got caught out the first night but please make sure you close the balcony door fully to make sure the air conditioning works. I called reception confused as to why the air conditioning didn’t work, asking for any help, but I got a response of “oh there’s no chance it’s not working”. The next morning the kind gentleman from maintenance just closed the door properly and it was the biggest naked gun facepalm moment but.. reception should suggest this for any future instance.

I definitely do not recommend going to the buffet for dinner, for the price you pay, the quality of food is average and a little bit unappetising.
Breakfast didn’t appeal to me either.

Facilities is fine, the laundry is a nice touch, gym is limited but functional, games area on level 1 is nice, the pool is very nice especially after 5pm when the sun has lost its oomph!

The staff especially room service and the ladies doing the beds every morning are very very nice. Especially to our baby boy. So many high fives.

Overall 7/10. It’s nice, but for food and the slight aging of the property it needs a little bit of improvement.

Very crowded when I visited. Check in process needs to improve it was a two step line up long wait experience in a balmy hotel lobby. Breakfast buffet long line. Delicious food but mostly chicken for meat. Outside of that, housekeeping staff was very helpful. if you get the ocean view balcony room, awesome view. Hotel is far from everything and shuttle bus is not frequent enough late into the evening. Nice small private sandy beach that they need to frequently clean up due to some trash that washes up.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel, which offers a wide range of family-friendly facilities. The staff were consistently helpful and welcoming, making us feel well taken care of throughout our visit. The private beach was a highlight—plenty of complimentary water sports and beach activities, all supervised by attentive safety guards both at the beach and around the swimming pools.

The room itself was comfortable, though a bit dated. It featured a bathtub, which could be challenging for elderly guests to step over safely. The shower curtain setup also made it easy for water to spill onto the floor, which was slightly inconvenient.

Check-in was smooth but took around 15 minutes at 1:30pm, even though it wasn’t busy. I found this a bit lengthy compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at in Singapore.

Despite these minor issues, the overall experience was very positive. It’s a great place for families looking to relax and enjoy a variety of activities in a safe and welcoming environment.

Really nice resort if travelling with children. Just very expensive we found especially if choosing to have lunch/dinner where we found it to be extortionate amounts of pay. Very limited halal option although they did have a small section for halal food, we found it to be very repetetive each day. Difficult with child. They did offer to make dishes of choice which helped. Helpful staff, overall very clean and nice pool etc.

Would have been nice to have had another restaurant within the property as a choice other than the buffet when there was a storm, to save going outside in the rain to get to Trapizza (which served excellent food).
Food choice around the pool and room service was excellent.

Not Worth the Hype

I had high expectations for Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa, Singapore, but unfortunately, my stay was far from enjoyable.

We arranged for an airport pickup, but the driver showed up 20 minutes late. Tired of waiting, we took a taxi instead. Upon arrival, the room was just okay—not memorable, but not terrible either.

The real letdown was the buffet. The food was cold, unappetizing, and service was almost non-existent. Our server never even came by to offer water. When we needed assistance from the concierge, she was on break, then on lunch, and eventually left early—completely unavailable when we needed her.

On our departure day, the taxi we booked never arrived. Apparently, drivers don't like to come to the island, which made leaving even more stressful. As for the facilities, the beach was underwhelming and the pool had plastic cups floating in it—definitely not the luxury experience I was expecting.

In summary, this place is a hard pass for me. It lacked hospitality, cleanliness, and basic service standards

A nice but dated resort

The amenities at the resort were good but the rooms did feel dated. The rooms felt a bit like an economy hotel. The pool was nice. Although it appeared like there were eating options at the hotel, there was really only one option. The food there was good but pricey. The beach was nice and well kept. Other hotels in the area have access to beaches that are public and just as nice.

Shangri Sentosa , you can do better.

Checking in was easy and the staff was friendly. However we saw a cockroach running around in room which was quite shocking but maybe understandable ? Cant be expecting 100% pest free i guess. Room was in classic theme but feels dated. Felt that the standard curtain would definitely be a lot easier to draw then a louver panel which you cant even adjust the angle to allow some lights in. Where a day curtain allows you to do that with privacy. Think some works can be down to the bathroom like having a heated WC and a bidet spray. Understand cost and time frame maybe an issue , but you techically dont have to tear down the whole bathroom to get a heated WC and a bidet up. Lastly , ask a waitress to help with the drinks order only to be told to order myself over at the counter with i thought was dam weird.
