Pre-trip communication regarding check-in information was excellent, and the check-in process ended up being flawless. The staff, specifically Amy, was outstanding; professional, well-organized, accessible, and friendly. Will definitely be back next year!

Arrived and the bed our kids were supposed to sleep on was broken and it was unusable. Refrigerator was rusted. Blinds broken in main bedroom. Flooring completely falling apart. Spider webs everywhere. Listing showed it on the lake, it was across a very busy street from the property. This listing was absolutely deceiving. Pictures from when it first opened or remodeled i would assume. Don't waste your money. There is nobody on site either to help. The manager redone quickly which is great but he's the gatekeeper to the owner who does nothing. They would not reimburse us one night stay for the lack of bed. Very frustrating.

Everything was amazing. Only complaint i have is how loud the next door neighbors were ALL night with their loud music and first thing in the morning. We could hear everything in our room.

We found a live roach or some type of beetle crawling around this morning. I took a pic of it to send you if you want. Also one of the bedroom floors has water seeping out from under the flooring.

We enjoyed the place and it was very well kept. All in working conditions and clean. Communication was a bit challenging as there is no receptionist around the clock. Most information is clear and easy to follow. The one difference we found here, compared to other hotels, is that you are required to leave the entire property by 11am. Besides this, we enjoyed the stay and it is close to Indiana Beach with a nice view to the river across the street.

This is the 2nd year we have gone there in the Summer. I am so happy that we found this place. It is tucked away in a little private corner without all of the traffic and noise. It is very cute and furnished with all you need. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

The property owner and staff were personable, attentive and responsive. Our cottage was perfect - plenty of room and the amenities were comfortable. We have stayed here in the past, and will continue to stay here on our visits to Monticello. Highly recommended.

Nice cottage

Nice, cute cottage for an overnight stay. Would be best suited for a summer time family lake vacation. Had minor issue with TV connection; was promptly addressed by the manager. Liked being able to park car right next to the cottage.

Room could have been a bit cleaner. Dirty fans and walls were the biggest faults. We went on a hot day but the 1 window air unit was not even close to being enough. 2 bedroom units, 1 bedroom and studios all have the same... 1 window unit.

Great Stay!!!

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay in studio 2. The place was well appointed for a couple, and very clean. Seemed like it had been completely repainted recently. 5 out of the 8 units had new roofs, so they are definitely working and spending to keep the place nice. The units are in a circle with a small pool in the middle. The pool was nice to use with supplied floaties and stuff. Great location to IB, and a neat general store a 1/4 mile up the road. We will definitely stay here again. Photos are of the lake which is right across the road.

My son and I love to go to Indiana Beach! We always stay at the Blue Door Cottages. They're affordable, clean, and it's so nice to have your own little place, versus a room at a hotel.

This is a nice quiet location across from the lake. Just a 5 minute drive to IN Beach. They have everything you need for a laid back relaxing stay. We actually stayed here 10 years ago and came back because we really liked it. Nothing has changed except it’s a bit older, which is to be expected. The owners thought of everything, including the use of grills scattered around and even fire pits.

Property was clean. Served the purpose of a clean place to stay. Would not recommend staying in the winter, as the floors were cold. Hot water was limited by a very small water heater. Nothing fancy about this place, but again, it did serve it's purpose.

Cute cottage. Very clean. Friendly staff, and very helpful too! Communication regarding our stay was excellent. King size bed a bit odd to get into because of it being in a nook but very comfortable. Nice view of the lake across the street. Perfect for the length of our stay.

I enjoyed the blue decor. It was clean. The Communication between myself and the host was wonderful. Cable and a DVD player was provided but I did bring my tv (I'm a big gamer) the screen/tv that was provided did not have an HDMI port. But other than that everything was great. Oh, I can't forget about the onsite pool, little play area for the kids, grills and fire pit was a plus. It was not far from the amusement park. I would most definitely stay here again.

These cottages offered everything I was looking for on my vacation. They are clean, adequately stocked with kitchen items, spacious, close to the action but far enough away to relax when needed. The manager goes above the norm to ensure your stay is as good as you expected it to be. We are already looking forward to going back next year!!

A horrible experience overall!!

Upon entering the cabin i slipped on the throw rug inside the door and almost fell. The bedroom with the door on it had water all under the bed. The bathroom floor was wet throughout. the floor in the living room was filthy. It had not been swept in quite some time. The couch in the living room was covered with BODILY FLUIDS!! There was no WIFI available and the TV did not work!! THE SERVICE WAS NON-EXISTANT!!

Excellent Cottages

I personally love the blue door cottages and here's why . It has only a few handful of cottages in its own private spot . So the pool & playground , firepits are always available to have time alone or for kids to meet other kids in a safe area where you can see them from your porch that also comes with chairs to relax on . They have cornhole boards . I brought mine and didn't even need too . Everyone is chill and not uptight / campers / owners both times I stayed . Fishing is righr across the street and we caught fish . It's right by a bait shop and gas stations which is helpful when your thirsty/ need something quickly . It's always clean and rooms are always ready on time . I am a season pass holder for Indiana beach the past 2 yeard now and been going since diapers. This is the place to stay, prices are great for everything included . They have utensils and full sized fridges , ice cube trays things you may forget are pretty much there . Wifi was strong. My son had a great time and thanked me 100 times. I won't stay anywhere else now. Close to the drive in theater as well! hope they forever stay open and management is always the same owners . Thanks blue door cottages!
